  1. sorry mate unfortately we accidently erased the 366hp run cos we did alot of runs george was very pissed off when we discovered we had done so ,but basically we picked up power earlier with the advance on the inlet and picked up outright hp with exhaust advance and a bit opf int advance.
  2. no internal mods(no forged pistons),bar tomei cams
  3. yeh happy with turbos but i was surprised at how much we gain with the install of cams and tuning them etc it went from 366 to 518 we adjust fuel and int to suit with like a 1 to 1.5psi increase to get a true 18psi the apexi power fc rules tho awesooooooome contol and repetability, the car starts like a std and idles nice with a hint of lump to it.
  4. ha guys 518.7 HP AT THE WHEELS 18PSI PUMP FUEL GTR R33 95 320HP BALL BEARING GARRETT TURBOS 700cc SARD Injectors APEXI Power fc and hand controller APEXI AVCR RB20 Air flow meters TOMEI 260deg 9.15mm lift cams TOMEI adjustable cam wheels custom intake and exhaust THE REST STD
  5. hah guys, first question differently didnt jump a tooth as that is like about 25deg of crank angle or something we check it twice. and the urban mith about rb20 resolution is nonsence as im an instrument tech and the rb20 has better resolution than the z32 due to the smaller scale over which they operate( they plug straight in and are half the cost )(i got my 2 for $300) and i dont clam to be the duck nuts tuner but we just spent the time and that is wot i credit most of the results to cos we nearly stopped a couple of time once at 465hp and again 485hp we though we would just try a few more thing while we were there and lucky for us it was worth the exact time and power band is set by duration of cams and there over lap not there angle of advances
  6. hah nisjet, i feel for you as i just been through the same problem with my r33 gtr i bought tomei 260deg 9,15mm lift and got r34 cams ,lucky for me brent at nengun had no problem doing the right thing and spent me a replacement ex cam no charge to me just had to wait awhile for it. Its worth getting the adjustable cam wheels and taking the time to set them up as i got hugh gains from doing so check thread on tuning for mid range torque.
  7. and the other thing we were run regular 500hp flat but after lengthly dyno test had got quick hot so we let it cool down for 15 mins or so and thats when we got the 518hp so my next points of call will be lagging of pipng ,cold intake box , turbo lagging etc maybe even bigger intercooler
  8. ha guys ,i will try and get to a scranner asap as i dont have one with the deg the tomei pulley said deg of crankshaft (we exspected to retard exhaust as well but it lost power quick ,i even double checked timing to make sure all was well) ok the horse power i quoted 424hp was at hyperdrive when i ran it on the local adrenalines dyno it went 379hp (you know the story different dyno etc) so after fitting the cams ,cam wheels and new tomei belt ,n1 water pump it went 366hp or some thing and thats where we start the tune and ended at 518hp so i have tried to keep track of progress as best as posible another point of interest you might be interested in was we turn the boost right down to about .8 bar and still maked well over 400hp at the wheels
  9. Well guys i just finished the tune and all i can say is its worth spending the time on the dyno as i had hugh increases with cam timing and small fine tuning on fuel and int map 152hp increase *366hp to 518hp at the rear wheels *adjustment inlet advanced 10deg (this gave better power in the lower rev range) exh advanced 8 deg (this gave big increase mainly in upper range) *added about 1.5 psi boost to get a true 18psi and fined tuned the avcr to come in strong and smooth *fine tuned int timing and inj maps to get a good fuel/air ratio and torque curve 518hp at the wheels was gain with PFC, AVCR ,700CC SARD Injectors ,260Deg 9.15mm tomei cams with adjustable cam wheels Tomei, rb20 80mm air flow meters, ball bearing garret 320hp turbos, custom exh and inlet piping( i made myself)(the rest all std) I'm pretty happy as it pulls from about 3500rpm all the way to 7800rpm cant wait to get it on the track
  10. Hi Guys i have a r33 gtr with milted mods running(424hp at the wheels) i am just installing some tomei poncams (260deg 9.15mm lift) with tomei adjustable cam wheels and belt etc, and i'm wanting to set the cam timing up best for mid range torque. I have read a few article where there are gains to be by fading the cams and was hoping someone might have some advice on where to start ,or it will be a long sesion on the dyno for me and george. please any advice would be greatly appreciated
  11. I have order pfc and hand controller ,apexi filters ,tomei cams and cam wheels and timing belt ,apexi avcr ,clear cam cover ,700cc sard injectors and i only problems i've had was australia post lost my first parcel for a couple of week and the cams got hit by customs ,not for a great deal of money tho and the exhaust cam was supplied wrong from tomei (r34 instead of r33) but Brent didnt have a problem sourcing me the correct replacement for no cost to me ,so on the whole its a GOOD CHEAP service ,i would recomend. last dyno beofre the cams and cam wheels went in 424hp at the wheels ,hoping for 450hp plus with a flat torque curve
  12. no these are bolt in cams (poncams means bolt in in japanese )no mechining needed
  13. ylwgtr2 yes that is posible but it seemed trying to get a r34 cas would have been more costly then buying new cam set ,do you have the one from your still or how did you modify to suit r33
  14. R32 and R33 are the same but R34 have different coupling for the crank angle sensor you'll see this is you check part lists for cam for the gtrs
  15. I have a stage two tomei cam kit for gtr r34 for sale 260 DEG 9.15mm inlet 260 DEG 9.15mm exhaust BRAND NEW STILL IN BOXES only reason for sale is i was supplied r34 instead of r33 and will have to order my cams again PRICE LESS THAN COST $800 0418956350
  16. Interested in the motor .you say its dont a big end have you stripped it down and do you have photos of it
  17. hi i'm very interested in the kit ,just two things where was this located in the r33 gtr( the core location) and why was it remove from the car please email asap [email protected]
  18. Hi Im very interested could you tell me the tyres on the rimes (265/35/18 etc) and estimated wear (50%) worn
  19. i got std air box if you want one for r33 gtr make me an offer
  20. dude i suggest 700cc injectors from nengun i just swooped my out yesterday and found i would of maxed out the 550 if i had installed them im running std pump ,std cooller ,ball bearing turbo (320hp) and pulled 424hp at 74% duty cycle on injectors so the 700 arnt to big as i thought they might be .Idle was not a problem with the pfc (injectors cost me ($691 plus postage)cheap as
