yes with that logic one could only guess, i will let u guys know how it goes in the meantime, has nobody else has had a problem like this before? i also dont want to open the unit as it has never been opened before incase they blame me for "tinkering" with it, when nobody has lol

the wiring loom is 100% oem condition and yes the 10mm bolt was firmly fastened at all times the ecu was also cable tied firmly in place, wasnt rattling around or anything and the car was fully operational for atleast 2 months? tuner also looked at how it was setup and didnt find anything wrong with it how would apexi prove that its not a factory fault?

Hey guys, a friends car has developed a problem in his s14 and i think his pfc-dj has failed he was driving the car quite casually when his engine check light started flashing and the car started to mis-fire then it stalled. the cars relays now tick whenever the key is turned to ignition mode, however the only light on the dash that was flickering in sync with the clicking noises was the engine check light. the car still cranks managed to get the car home, i removed the ignition relay next to the ecu as i got suspicious of that, put the car into ignition mode and problem was still there so i undid the 10mm bolt on the ecu and unplugged it, problem gone i then fitted the stock ecu, no ticking noise but the fuel pump now primes and everything looks ok, didnt start the car coz it would overfuel etc has 740's, map sensor etc so my questions are, does this 100% mean that its the power fc? has this happend to anyone here before? if so, is it an easy fix? will the tune be lost? we will be contacting apexi japan to claim under warranty as it was purchased only last year brand new thanks

i can get u a new set of siemens deka injectors 600cc for $600, they r top feed, high impedence and will work fine on a neo however u need to wire up different plugs as they use square plugs, not oval ones and you also need spacers on the fuel rail as do most sets of injector upgrades anyway as the injectors are slightly longer, about 1-2cm im going to be using a set of these on my neo very soon, just need to order a set of plugs off ebay

im honestly not a fan of the white dials, it doesnt match anything else in the car, well, nothing in mine anyway, i got my leds with the car wen i bought it, i fit them and they have been brighter in some spots than others ever since, and just recently one of them has been intermittently going out, then back on again, china led's are mega fail, dont last at all anyone got leds that dont do this? or a modification to the cluster to solve the problem?
-
i was thinking about this the other day when i was staring at my cluster in traffic.. pretty sure its too hard to do because of the concave shape of the dial face its a no go, just go for some white led's, i have some blue leds in mine at the moment but there are some spots that are slightly brighter than others.. annoys me anyone know of white dash leds that have a consistent level of illumination across the whole cluster?

i hope my apexi AX53B70 turbo makes similar power to this on the stock cams btw i like the gauge install, how did u mount them like that? custom brackets? got any pics?
-
if its manifold/head leak its more of a ticky noise, further away it is, the puffier it sounds, or could be both lol
-
mani to turbo gasket will probably look like this, occurs at around 150,000km mark depending on general temps in that area bout 40 buks from nissan, i have one in stock if u want to fix it quickly

i did my 100k service myself, i hate doing the same job twice so i changed everything NSK tensioner bearing 130 NSK idler bearing 100 (both bearings sourced from CBC bearings in malaga, they are same quality as oem but if u get them through nissan they are way overpriced) nissan cam seals 20 x 2 nissan crank seal 30 genuine nissan neo water pump 230 gates timing belt 85 i think thats all, pretty expensive service thats for sure! id hate to pay labour ontop of that...... lucky me i strongly advise against doing it yourself unless you know what your doing and you are aware of the correct belt tension etc etc as you could see the end of your motor if belt goes bye bye lol i also advise you to buy genuine parts, aftermarket oil seals and cheap bearings are a mechanics worst enemy
-
GW get their oils off shell and put some additives in it and re-sell it, ive run castrol in most of my cars (5w30) has served me very well, performed better than mobil1 5w50 in my gtr actually, kept oil temps below 90 always where as the mobil1 would get abit hotter even if i wasnt driving the car 'hard'.

these threads pop up once a week these days, and yes bubba great advice on the 25/30 buahahahaha
-
dont bother wasting ur money etc on replacing it, just take it out
-
i didnt know u could do that with an ecu thats only meant to run 1 afm? interesting how is it done?
-
ive seen that done before but not sure how it would affect drive-ability
-
ive always known top mounts with such big intakes to be restricted by air flow meters, that is the basis of my reasoning also, reversion can cause the afm to almost stall the car once u come off boost and back to idle (approaching traffic lights) if the intake pipe is relatively short which in most cases is who knows, nistune will probably do you just fine, a friend of mine is making 400 with a nistune (not a top mount) and he is having no issues at all but in my eyes, a gt35 is a completely different setup as to a 'highflow'
-
ohh your post said standard 25 though haha, well in that case, id also go for the gt35 on a 30 bottom end, have some 400kw+ of fun and traction issues...... i really do hope you dont run a nistune on a setup like this though!
-
well that just tickled my fancy, but your quite far away from perth arent you? edit: oh wait.. u misunderstood wat i meant by front plate, i meant the nose plate your talking of, thats inside the bell housing haha thats what im already planning on doing, i just need to find a front plate, which i have failed at miserably so buying a new one is the go if it doesn't hit the bank too hard! i will drill and tap 2 holes on my existing bell housing myself you wouldnt happen to have any front plates would u? send 1 up to me
-
sounds like you have some cash to blow, i do not recommend you run a nistune if your planning to run a top mount setup, run an ecu that uses a map sensor as the inlet is something like 4" and an afm such as the z32 will be a restriction, it may even cause the car to stall/run like shit due to air reversion back toward the afm get a pfc dj or something along that standard if your running a standard motor, and 400hp will keep you happy, your probably going to like the response that the gt3076 has to offer as you will not be able to use the full potential of a gt35 on a standard motor a pair of poncams will open up that midrange also giving the car alot more of an aggressive power delivery my 2c, goodluck with the build
-
haha, thank you Dsturbd, at long last someone who understands what im trying to do! i need to order a front plate for an r33 gearbox so i can start running r33 push type clutches with my r34 box, they r half the price!
-
???????? i just want somebody's vin number so i can order parts ???? i didnt say anywhere i want an actual vin plate and put it on my car, and where did i say my car is unregistered? LOL so much fail in ur post
-
haha just treat the car with abit more mechanical sympathy bro, change the turbo and you should be fine gecmis olsun
-
hi guys i need an r33 gts-t 5spd manual VIN number and also the model code which is directly under it so i can order a few parts from kneesarn anyone willing to share theirs? im pretty sure thats all i need thanks!
