No, you are wrong, biodiesel is the biggest load of shit going around. Every week we get some poor guy thats screwed up his fuel pump due to the poor lubrication characteristics of the "cooking oil mixture". Diesel Fuel pumps rely on the lubrication characterisits of conventional diesel oil to maintain the internal parts from excessive wear and tear, bio diesel does not do this, has nothing to do with fuel filter changing. we also find that some bio diesel mixtures going around can actually increase the temperatures ontop of the engine and cause piston damage and also the nozzles in the injectors to fail (ie melt closed). Please also note that damage we see from biodiesel in fuel pumps is quite distinct from common wear and tear failures of fuel pumps also. facts are facts. Hell, i love the idea that people are running it from a financial point of view as we make a shit load of money on it!!

i tend to find that if you drive in peak hour / heavy traffic areas, its very unlikely to get pulled over. Thats pretty much 80% of my driving but its a different story on weekends or even weeknights.

What Is The Switch On The Clutch Pedal For?
snozzle replied to BANGN's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i have also wondered what the switch is there for also! -
I managed to source them for 180 each through my clutch supplier, it seems theres quite alot of mark up on these somewhere along the line . He told me he will have them in by 2 weeks though which is good timing for me anyway as my brakes at the moment are still fine. Getting my car tuned next week so I will have to just take it easy hehe I have read the brake pad threads extensively quite some while ago but i just keep comming accross mixed reviews on the same product which confuse me, probably because everyone has different expectations from their brakes as their driving styles are different. Thanks for the input though.

wow, u are one lucky son of a .........********* hahaha i joke, but serious about the lucky part, damn, how long ago was that? they are very harsh these days.. -
i had some lucas pads on my r34, which had 32 gtr brakes up front, even though they were as dusty as hell, i was actually quite happy with the initial bite they had, however cutting down from high speed, wasnt all that amazing, or maybe i just want too much from my brakes haha. excess dust is a bitch though, i thought id be able to put up with it, but it really does get annoying after a while
-
i spoke to him a few days ago, pretty sure hes gone away to europe for a holiday, chasin some girls haha
-
what exactly are you referring to when u say brake retaining clips? i have a set of rear r32 gtr brakes that i wouldnt mind getting rid of actually, depending on what it is, i might let it go, otherwise u can take the pair of calipers for 100 bucks r32 gtr and r33 gtr rear brakes are different, does the clip apply to both nissan and brembo rear calipers?

Hello all, I think its time my front brakes get freshened up, after some research ive decided to hunt down a pair of DBA 4000 series rotors, i have been quoted roughly 300 each though so thats 600 for the fronts only, arghh aint that rich just yet. Where in perth can i find a better deal? If anyone knows, let me know, will save me alot of time looking around im also stuck on what pads to run, if anyone wants to share their experiences with a decent set of pads id appreciate some advice on that also, basically dont want squeeling/excess noise but i want them to take a beating when duty calls cheers.

looks like a nice car man, rip out that safc, buy a powerfc and that is problem 2 solved R&R on stock ecu is what your experiencing, search up about it problem 1 will be a process of elimation between your shocks and other suspension components, or even play in your hub/wheel bearing talk to an auto electrician regarding the turbo timer install, it mite be hidden away under the dash, i dont believe either of those devices can act as turbo timers nice car again, looks to be clean, i actually like the wheels, good offsets! -
Second Gear Syncro's Or Somthing Else?
snozzle replied to 51NNA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
you probably had an oil in there previously that was helping the damaged syncro do its job after the clutch change your mechanic most probably put a different oil in there than before that isnt thin enough for that syncro to operate as it used to anymore try a different oil, sumthing like 75w90 or just buy another box, they r pretty cheap? -

Will Redline Shockproof Hide This Problem?
snozzle replied to TUF250's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
redline will help the problem but give valvoline super synth 75w90 a go, its only 50 bucks, i had a crunchy 2nd gear in a past car, dumped the vmx80 out of it, changed it to 75w90 valv, still kinda notchy wen cold but after 5mins, it was perfect vmx80 made it crunchy wen cold and notchy wen hot some boxes love vmx80 though, it all depends on the condition of the box, different boxes like different weights, that is why you will often find people will have different views on oils, especially with gearboxes edit: i just checked out that site, very cheap pricing on the redline oils, i will order some smurfblood for my gtr the prices on that site are almost half the price of redline products i see on shelf at shops in perth! -
hahahaha
