  2. i was hoping the '#4' in thread title was referring to something funnny like your 4th engine in the car due to not knowing wat boost to run.................. doh wasted my time reading this thread edit: i actually might put some constructive input into this thread since you had atleast 1 decent question. dont bother tuning your gtr if its running stock turbos at 12-14psi etc, especially if its just on 1 bar and especially if your planning to mod it and get it tuned again later on. I didnt notice a world of difference after my tune. Not the most effective way to spend 300-500 bucks. Yeah small difference but kinda felt like i shoulda waited out till i had bigger injectors to make the most of the tuning time vs end result R33 gts-t's are a different story, the stock gtr ecus are no where near as bad. Wait out till you get new turbos, bigger injectors, cam gears and other such support mods.
  3. ^ exactly what he said. They bolt up just fine but i hope you have lots of adjustability on the coilovers as the rears need to be substantially longer and the fronts need to be substantially shorter.
  4. how long ago was that? really depends on how harsh/leniant of an inspector they are i guess but i wouldnt try my luck, paying a re-inspection fee just coz of 2 globes is a waste of time and money
  5. +1 know this first-hand as a pit inspector failed a friends car a few months ago for having a 6000k kit fitted sucks i know..
  6. start off with simple stuff nistune ecu and an ebc then work your way to a bolt on turbo, poncams, injectors, z32 and a retune, you will need to upgrade your clutch before you do any of these mods too

  8. me and a friend managed to pass a 5 gas but only just, was a forged sr20, stock cams, gt3082 top mount, run of the mill highflow cat, we told tuner to keep in mind we were gonna do an emmission test and he took that into account and we passed first go basically its not a hard test to pass, they didnt test the car on full boost so it doesnt really matter wat turbo ur running, aslong as ur tune is decent and ur cat is working you will be ok all tests were done in nuetral on idle and also with revs raised for quite some time ( quite a dumb test but works for me )
  9. 7.5amp EGI fuse so happy we found the problem after all this time lol feel so stupid didnt even check the simplest thing that i usually check the unplugging of the ecu which stopped all the error symptoms is what threw me off i think any ideas as to why this fuse blew out spontaneously while driving?

  11. hmmm im pretty sure we checked all the fuses already but we will check them all again now thanks

Ok........ its been a long time but the power fc has finally arrived back from japan, they claim that there is nothing wrong with it!! arghhh So now im thinking theres a problem with the car, possibly a ground or power source in a pin that only the power fc utilises that the stock ecu does not. I'm going to try and find some one with a S1 S14 and fit my friends ecu into their car and see if the problem is still there. In the mean time, any suggestionns/help would be appreciated. Thanks
  13. if my car wasnt a daily id order in e85 with drums but its my daily so us poor, unfortunate west australians dont get e85 for our dailies for a long time!!!!!! :)
  14. what exactly did u do to the car? all you have said is new turbos, did you install bigger injectors too ? by the sounds of it you have over fueled the engine big time and possibly glazed the cylinders
  15. an old r33 gtst of mine went up to about 7kg on a cold start and if i revved it to around 4000rpm within the first few minutes of driving it would also hit 8kg. Nothing wrong with that. My GTR gets about 7 wen cold but doesnt really hit 8 i dont think, ive never really revved it passed 4k when cold. It then stabilises down to 4 in most gears while driving by the time i get to my destination and idles on 2.5-3 in regard to blowing out the dip stick, the info on how to find and/or fix the problem is in post 4 of this thread.

  17. Hi all Going to get my wheels resprayed and was thinking about getting them sand blasted but dont wanna damage/pit them. Any other alternatives? businesses who can do beed blasting etc? I want to keep it local to either osborne park area or balcatta or even malaga, NOR basically Cheers.
  18. as said already, dont waste money on fibreglass body kits! just lower it on some decent coilies and focus on the mods that matter
