  1. Only person I saw who shouldnt be allowed within 10 feet of a car is old mate in MADR33.
  2. Me and a few friends we're there repping these last night. Front to back; Me, Dan (Inline6), Luke (Luke_ENR34). Not pictured, my drunk passenger, Pistol-Pete.
  3. I was 2 cars in front, most certainly heard it!
  4. Don't be homo's, Vilis reunion '13, yo.
  5. My car would idle, if it had an engine.
  6. I'll head down, if I haven't melted.
  7. Has no one read what I've said? Take your box to a specialist and get them to fix exactly what is causing the crunching, nothing more, nothing less. Why do a 1-2k gearbox rebuild when you could spend $350 like I did and the box is as good as new... When it starts whining and carrying on, then I'll get a rebuild.
  8. My RB25 box was crunching 4th, I took the gearbox out and took it to a local gearbox specialist. He fitted a brand new syncro to 4th, and a better condition, but second hand syncro to 3rd. Price was $350 parts and labour.
  9. Hey guys, currently in the process of 'refitting' my R32, I pulled my gearbox out and sent it off for a freshen up, I wasn't going to touch the clutch as it was driving pefect, but curiosity got the better of me. As you can see in the picture, the pads (on both sides) look very shiny/silver, but where its not shiny its pitted and black. I am aware of how hard the car gets driven, and I can tell you how impressed I've been with this item. The flywheel and pressure plate appear to both have what I would consider to be normal wear. The flywheel is a (genuine) Nismo flywheel, if that means anything here. The manufacturer of this clutch has been emailed, but I'm guessing they will be shut for atleast another week, and I'm getting itchy feet to have the car running again. However, if it needs to be rebuilt, I'll wait. Cheers guys! PS. The thickness of the material left is about 1-1.5mm, which I'm told is alright for this clutch, but yeah.
  10. Apocalypse Vilis tonight. Me and a few guys I know from here are heading down.
  11. Fliggy do stuff to it so its a trackable street car.
  12. After snapping 5 lock bars (apparently I drive my car hard) I changed to an entire non-hicas rear subframe. It is a very simple job, but spend the time and money getting some quality subframe bushes installed in the new subframe before putting it in. I know people say just put solid bushes in, but Im really not a fan of the road noise that often comes with doing so. So I have Whitleline bushes now (polyurethane). Use a rattle gun to change the hubs over, makes life much easier. The subframe I bought had driveshafts but no diff (obviously driveshafts were useless to me as they were 6 bolt), so to get the driveshaft bolts off I used a chain and shackles from my engine crane and did them up through the bolt holes that would normally go to the diff, and loop the chain around the subframe. This allowed me to take the driveshaft bolts off with ease. Edit: I've gone much more extreme with the removal of the power steering lines than the OP. Now my power steering lines go; pump -> front rack -> reservoir -> pump. Removed probably 5 metres of power steering lines from the equation, haha.
  13. I got made redundant (again) and have just started trade school so I am no longer able to go. I believe Norman is still going though.
  14. Vilis tonight. Yo. About 5 SAUers confirmed via Facebook.
  15. There is no moisture in the car, that I've found. And yeah, I have just put a new motor in, so the hoses were disconnected/re-connected. I'm trying to remember if it worked before, but my memory is failing me.
  16. Hey guys, just got my new daily on the road (R32 4 Door). But my heater doesn't work. Like, literally doesn't work. I took the heater door servo off and moved the arm by hand to what would be full heat. Nothing. Cold as ice. And yes the heater core is plumbed up. Potential causes I can think of: Heater core blocked Massive air lock Heater core pipes around the wrong way I will investigate further tomorrow, but just thought I would see if anyone else has had the same thing, because its rather weird.
  17. I would be looking at the CAS, they tend to stuff up when they get hot (when broken).
