yaaaay my guess on Saturday was right!! woohoo!!! Good to see that it was a simple quick and cheap fix, not something you see very often in any import, especially a GTR. Note to self, carry spare hose clamps, tools and other stuffs in car on cruises. I had spare oil, zip ties and vaccum hose but not clamps.

D2 Coilover Vs Tein Superstreet Vs Cusco?
BeEnAr replied to jackdanielz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I love my oz spec Tein SS. Save up for a little longer and get yourself some, well worth it, also they are ADR approved (so no defect) and parts rebuild etc can be sourced/done locally a little easier than the other jap stuff. Oh and good luck getting your ebay edition coilovers rebuilt. Don't skimp on the stuff holding your car body to the road, suspension, brakes, tyres. These are the most important things on a car IMO because IF one fails, you could well be in a lot of trouble (read hello tree/armco/cliff face) at least if your engine or tranny goes you can still steer and brake yourself out of trouble. -
Rear Knuckle Ball Joint?
BeEnAr replied to tets's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
$150 from Nissan is not too bad. That's for a 32GTR though, are they the same? Make sure the person you speak to at nissan is ONLY quoting you for the ball joint and not the joint and arm assembly. Nissan dealer I called did that and gave me a quote for $490 fr/L/lower and $530 fr/R/lower I loled and went to Centreline and got Chris to get them in for me from Nissan... $300 for both so $150 each. Maybe try giving him a call. Oh and your's are well gone, don't bother with 2nd hand because it's just going to fail again on you -
Brake Pads Users Ratings Guide
BeEnAr replied to Snowman's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well I been on EBC Redstuff for 2 years and 70,000km now and they still have plenty of pad left, rotors also have no lip on them. Running the stock 32 Vspec2 Brembo's so when I got the pads it was redstuff or cheaper brand, I went with the reds as they were the new ceramic kevlar blend compound and much better than the old compound they had for the reds. Dust is not too bad but the best thing is it's not black, it's a sort of whitish grey colour and because it has no metal in the compound at all, the dust wipes off with a wet sponge, no cleaners needed (I use wet microfibre and a spray bottle of water) They are used daily as the GTR is my daily drive and that drive consists of 115km return trip. Never been on track so can't rate them on that but at the GOR cruise they bit hard all day and didn't fade once, I was very pleased. +1 for redstuff -
LOL!!! You're supposed to put it in front of your cat so that it holds it in. At least that's what the d!cks that complianced my car did! I'm pretty sure it's alll burnt out now after 2 years! Interesting you should mention Carbon Emissions, they keep touting us to use trains, trams and electric or hybrid vehicles, funny thing is, electric motors have carbon brushes in them and all they emit is carbon emissions! I always find this funny. I'd be stuffed if I got a carbon test done, I should call my GTR Puff the Magic Dragon, everytime I floor it and it gets above 5kRPM it leaves a trail of black smoke lol

No mate I didn't, Mick and I rolled up after you had already shut the car off. Blue smoke is bad, black is ok but not blue, Oil getting burnt is not a good thing. Could very well be turbo related, maybe you shot a wheel off or something?

Almost As Skyline, But Not Skyline
BeEnAr replied to Goi-turbo's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
damn!!! And we complain about the number plate sizes in Australia, Have a look at that thing! It's 1/3 the width of the car, you could take it off and use it as an ironing board! This thread is awesome but I can't help but think it's being posted to out of Google translator, you ca get the gist of what it's saying but fark it's bloody hard to figure some of this stuff out. Good Job Vitalic, I used to own a Lada Niva 4x4 in beige, probably the worst car I ever owned, had it for a total of 2 weeks and then the engine died and the tranny too... but.... I did give it a rather rough off road 2 weeks -

Nismo Edition R32 Gtr Skyline
BeEnAr replied to NothingSuss's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
lol I think the car sold, thread is from October last year and his profile now shows R33. Oh and this is much rarer than a 94 GTR -
Funny he should say that, that was the first thing I checked when myself and Mick (stagea) caught up to you guys, pitty I didn't have my tools with me or we could have tightened them all up, you don't get a lot of room in the front of a 33R so I couldn't get a real good pull on teh hoses but they all felt secure, only prob is that at 10+ PSI they are going to be swelling up a little ans may leak then, or could have a split in them further up where I couldn't get to. Either way let us know I really want to know what caused it so I know next time if it happens to someone else. I'm not sure what the squeeling from the rear turbo would have been, I didn't hear it but it could be a number of things, wastegate stuck open, bearings, seal.

If it's a Aussie cut T then it's XXL for me, being 6'1" means I need the length and the aussie cuts are fricken tiny! If it's US cut then L-XL usually suffices as they are usually looser fitting, longer and have bigger arms etc.

Hey Hamish, I love this Pic of your car... Oh and when did you get your number plate?
-
Mechanix Wear FTW!!! and they double as gloves for working on your car! Vent Glove Fast Fit Original I have the Original but they have holes in the fingers from my dog so am getting new pairs soon, Ebay is your friend here. They ar ehte best fitting gloves, forget those IronClad things from Bunnings and you won't look as much like a d!ck as you would with half arm length nomex fire retarded FIA driving gloves

600 pinga from Apollo to Frangers.... BARGAIN!!! Like you said, no other towing company would have even come close to that! Add the care taken in loading and it quicky adds up to a MAJOR bargain!
-
yeah I just noticed my slideshow is a little slow and takes a bit to load em all. I think it because of the image size. I set them at 2048 width so if you stop the show and plus out the pic it's full screen on pretty much everything!

Shit Charles, great job shooting while driving! I tried 2 times with the SLR and while they turned out well, I didn't quite like the idea of me dropping it while doing 100km/h, hell I don't like the idea of dropping it at all lol. Next time I think i'll bring the compact as well Good pics though mate. Oh and thanks to Ash for bringing the UHF for me, pitty they were both flat! lol!!!
-
yeah bugger Grant, let us know what is wrong with it, any ideas?
-
ahhh crap!!! I blanked out all the number plates but forgot to do the bloody rego stickers! Stupid VIC Rego and them putting it on the sticker!!! DOH!!
