  1. well said. I went as far as I could about my experience, the rest went via PM to a couple of people. I know for a fact that some of the dealers mentioned in here lurk around these forums... in the shaddows... watching you sleep.... watching you, um, do other things... muhahahha
  2. next they'll be running Black adder again. I would rather watch Bottom than Dibley any day of the week.

the entrance off Bell st after st georges rd has always been shit. I used to get the Familia onto 3 wheels driving up it at any speed. I wouldn't even try to get in that entrance in the GTR
  4. I thought you could drive any car you wanted on your L's so long as you meet the licensed driver requirement in the suicide seat.
  5. yeah what gives, still no reply from the dude, even after all the "help" we've offered him.... I can't wait to see this car pull massive number at the next auto salon dyno comp! it will be epic! BIG MASSIVE SINGLE DIGITS!!

Well that's weird because when the planning permit was up it said something along the lines of that (I thought doctors surgery but my memory aint that good) so funny that they say Gym, especially seeing as there is one across the road hahaha!
  7. Hey Rekin, yours looks like it's the bottom seal. Mine looks loads worse than that. I really need to find a place with the seals for all injectors that don't want to charge half my left arm for them
  8. Agreed, go to VIC Roads and pay the $100 or what ever it is these days and get your manual license. It takes all of about 10 minutes in the car and 3 hours waiting at VIC Roads
  9. there's only onle Bus lane at that intersection. well according to the map there is

Hey Ruffels, that's ME!!!! It's my reserved spot, bloody impossible to get a carpark in Hawthorn during the work hours. Next time I get in a bit early and have time, if you see me yell out, I'll have a chat. Oh yeah and it is a GTR VSpecII What are you guys building there? Last I heard it was going to be a doctors surgery or something.
  11. yeah they are yellow top 440cc. Where is it leaking from? Could be something as simple as the seals, I need to do mine too have 2 of them leaking
  12. Do it like a true westie, drive round until you see the same car as yours parked outside then take the part you need, possesion is 9 tenths of the law, well that's the excuse you always hear in the west lol!
  13. where abouts did you actually get into the lane? By the pic on google maps the start of the solid whit line to the stop mark at the lights is only 78.9673m. I have attached an image of where the 100m distance is at. If you were within that line, i'd be fighting this one, if not then I guess it's tough luck
  14. car popping is teh kewl
  15. yeah my father in-law's XB GT hardtop is a garage queen on stands. Gets started each month and is on a trickle charge permanently. I can't wait until my wife gets it in the will one day, the thing is in mint condition with well under 50 thousand KM on the clock. Only thing he did bad was changed the engine to the 351 Clevo as when he bought it new it came with the 302 so it isn't a numbers matching car anymore. It's still classed as condition 1 though as the engine is one which it came from factory with. Everything else is untouched and perfect. It's a pretty nice car... for a Ford.
  16. How are we supposed to tell if it was a joke or not? in none of your other posts did you say it was a joke. You got called out on your info and were wrong and now you're back stepping saying it was a joke. In most of my posts I tried to give the OP the best amount of relevant information that he could use to figure out if it was bad fuel and how the bad fuel could have got there in the first place. I work for BP Head Office so I know what can happen and that bad batches of fuel can be given to customers and I did say that. Maybe you should not post much for another 6 years. Wanzi, like you said, you'll want to change your fuel filter and clean your injectors, might only need a fuel system cleaner out of the bottle for that, also might need to change the in-tank filter on the pump, also check/change your plugs. apart from that there really isn't anything more that you should need to worry about.
  17. Go down to bunnings or another tool place and get yourself some of these CLICKY They bite into the nut like an easy out but no drilling required. Briliiant piece of kit and will get it out no problems. Here is another brand CLICKY
  18. I'm aware of how much they are worth nowdays, but a New GT isn't going to be worth nearly as much as the old ones as there has been too many of them built, same goes for the GT's back in the day, they were worth sh1t until recently. Giving the XJ220 as an example is a joke right? They were worth £361,000 to £403,000 in 1992 when they came out in production form and they only sold 281 cars. Now they are selling for an average price of £100,000 - £170,000 so it's actually worth lots less, I pitty the guy that has his mint unused car in walls. Compare that to the Phase 3, 300 made and sold for about $5750. They are now worth 100 times that, not even in the same field as the Jag Again, a car is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it, not how much someone says it's worth or how much someone is asking for it.
  19. Yeah I read that story too, here's a quote from it which is similar to what I have already said here "It could be the supplier, or it could be that water has somehow leaked into the tank," I didn't say that there was no way water could be in the fuel, I said that there is no way that the store operator would knowingly put it in there like you said they may do "when they have time" sorry to say it but
  20. Not bursting my bubble dude, I know for a fact that they would cop a massive fine for using Water not to mention the law suit that would have been lodged by all the people with screwed engines an d the amount of cars stuck on the forecourt. On the other hand, if they're diluting it with a lower quality fuel that is legal, they just can't sell it as the better quality one. Maybe that's what this guy did, diluted for example, Ultimate with 95 and still sold it as Ultimate. Have you had any direct experience with Service Stations or fuel distributors? From what you've said so far it's all hearsay Water in your cars fuel tank is piss easy to get rid of, just add Metho and it will allow the water to mix with the fuel rather than fuel sitting on top of it. There is always a nominal amount of water in your fuel (Australian fuel standard determination 2001 = 0.05% by volume) it's excess amounts that are bad. During times of heavy rain, run-off can sometimes overwhelm the spill box for the tanks at site, filling it with dirty, muddy water. The tanker drivers note that the water is over the top of the fill caps. He may ladle the water away or he may drain it away via the valve to the tank but some water may still get in that way. Then you also have the rust scale build up in the tanks and the sediment, the only way to remove the rust scale is to replace the tank (this happens quite a lot at retail sites). Fuel is Quality Assured from the terminal to the tanker so the tanker is the other variable where the fuel can go bad (this is very uncommon) 9 times out of 10 it is at the site where the fuel gets contaminated and 9 times out of 10 the operator is unaware of it. The reason fuel dips are done is to check the tanks levels and the water content of the tank, if the tank reads higher than it should then there may be fuel leaking in from another compartment or tank or there may be water getting in there, if it reads low then it may have a leak in the tank and this could also let mud and dirt in. To the OP, go back to the site you bought the fuel from and tell them what happened, it won't do any harm. Or call during the morning when the site manager is likely to be there.
  21. it's actually close to 200ml less and that is quite a big difference if your Gearbox needs 4L. I was just stating the volumes of the bottles so that he would know if he needs 4L then he will need 1 gallon and 1 quart, wasn't doing it to be pedantic
  22. ^^ That doesn't make me wrong, So did the old guy say he bought it as an investment? Did he own it from brand new? if he did own it from new then maybe he didn't have enough money to drive it hence the 12 miles, either that or he lived in a small town and didn't need to drive anywhere. Regardless this in no way confirms the fact that back in 1975 or whatever, this guy bought that car solely for the purpose of it going to be worth 100 times it's purchase price. Basically it's just a story of some guy that you don't know telling a story of one of his mates that met some other guy... see where this is going...
  23. That's a bunch of BS right there. Sorry but what do you mean by "water it down"? If you are talking about water in the tanks then that occurs not because the operators put it in there but due to leaks in the tank letting it in, they check this each day when they do their tank dips (also tells them how many L left in the tanks). On the odd occasion they will mix Ultimate with 95 and sell it as 95 but this is only when they are low on 95 and they are getting a delivery of Ultimate that day, likewise they will mix 95 win 91 and sell it as 91. They will never sell Ultimate mixed with other fuel as Ultimate. Bad fuel batches do happen but it would be more than the one servo effected unless they have serious problems with their underground tanks. The whole my friend had this problem and it was the fuel is probably not uncommon but Fuel is not going to destroy your turbo. The turbo doesn't care what fuel you use as it NEVER comes near the turbo.
  24. Redline doesn't come in Litres. It comes 0.946L (1US QRT) or 3.784L (1US GAL) Tip: 4 US qrts = 1 US Gal.
