Um, if that's the case then they are breaking the law because V-Power Racing has not been made for nearly 3 years, and if they still have stock of it in their tanks (highly doubt it) it is going to be that old and very very bad quality fuel with all sorts of nasties in it. They will more than likely have Vpower 98 in there and if it's still selling for 5c per L more than normal Vpower they are false advertising as there is no more VPower Racing. You'll probably find it's the same price as normal VPower and that will be because thats what is being pumped out, they ,ay still have the signs up and the bowser cards in place saying Racing but I can assure you 99% that it's not Racing, the 1% is for the 3 year old stale left over (which again is unlikely because it would destroy your engine and would be taking up tank space that they could use for other fuels)
  2. yeah but when the new season starts it's going to be a little different. Super 2000 rules will come into effect soon which means N/A 2L engines that rev out to near 9000 RPM, thing is that for WRC they are going to be running 1.6L Turbo engines instead, so basically it'l going to be crap! Ford Vs Citroen and engines that are basically the spec of 1987!

where'd you come up with this one? If you are running hydrogen then yes but in a normal engine you are going to have carbon monoxide no matter what.
  4. nooo not the packs themselves, you don't need to tape them up. Pull the loom off (the wires with all the plugs) and check it for any splits, (mine had several and could see bare wire on a couple) then tape the whole thing up with some decent electrical tape (nitto FTW) then you should be right, if that's your problem
  5. sh1t she didn't do too bad. Bad luck to the guys that went off though. Good to see Snowy still going strong, I saw the pics on targa's site and came here to see what happened.
  6. Tuff 34, I like it. Nice vid pitty bout the dark picture. Thought it was a 32 the headlights were that bad from incar but the first time you see it from the rear you can see the popeye Oo_oO
  7. Hey guys, I'm swapping out my stock airbox and K&N filter for the twin Apexi power intake pod kit and wanted to know if I should be worrying about a retune. I'm not worried about heat soak of the pods because the car is driven Fwy everywhere and never really in traffic. That and it's winter now but just having a dumb moment and can't think if I'd need a tune or not. I'm thinking not but thought I'd ask anyways. Thanks
  8. What about running twin 2.75 inch off each turbo? Or would you still need 3 inch? That would make it interesting, I've seen the twin pipes (one off each turbo as it's own system) at Central Circuit Drags in Japan but wouldn't have a clue what size they were, I suppose that would be another avenue to go down. For the record I run unknown front pipes into 3 inch merge then Unknown high flow cat and 3.5inch Kakimoto after that with 2 mufflers. The least amount of restriction in a turbo car the better I always thought, you don't need to worry about back pressures like you do in N/A. On the WRX's with them running the smaller rear pipes off the mufflers, they do that in WRC too so must be a reason for it, it's not to make them quieter because they are still loud as f**k!
  9. Is this true of all 32 RB26's? What about the later ones, or the V-SpecII? I was told V-SpecII had 33 GTR running gear but can't confirm that. Also if you overfill the engine near 1L you can alleviate this. It is also more a problem on track than on road as it's in high G loads that this happens because the sump is not baffeled good enough.
  10. i've got a valvoline on at the moment, no issues with it. Have used Ryco with no problems, Trent at Status put a DRFT one on with the magnet and same deal, no problems. I have used the K&N too and the best parts of that were the thicker wall of the filter and the nut on the end. Purolator are the best IMO.
  11. Hmmm, most of the oil additives have teflon in them which can clog up oil galleries so they are not advised. This one however uses something a little scarier, copy pasta from their site: "MBL8 Concentrated Oil Additive consists of micro-metallic particles suspended in a base oil. A feature of this impressive formula are the spherical micro-metallic particles which provide superior lubrication, reducing friction, heat and wear." Yep, just what I would want to be putting into my engine... METAL PARTICLES!! No thanks dude, but you feel free to keep on keeping on
  12. OK so I found another sweet video. This one is the late great Ayrton Senna belting the crap out of the brand new (at the time) Honda NSX-R. Check out his mid corner pedal work! I've never seen anyone do that before maybe someone here can answer the reasoning for doing it? Anyway, here's the video
  13. Yeah dude, I was just joking about the reason, TBH by the time I get home from work it's usually too late after I eat dinner and beat my wife
  14. Only reason I've never been to a west side meet is because we always meet in the west side! I don't trust my neighbours in Melton let alone most of the other people round here lol, Henry Excluded of course, we had a good drive back from GOR

they couldn't have t at every servo because there was no need too. It was made in small batches of 20,000L and was the same fuel used in F1 for the winter season for $5 per L it's pretty steep but they were selling plenty of it, pitty the refinery closed that was making it
  16. I would still go a Stag, Mick's one was hemmering at the GOR cruise and I mean seriously quick, definitely not a whale and it's not a 260RS either. could also go a mitsu legnum, they only came in turbo AFAIK
  17. all the people getting done on suspicion should call the Victoria Police Ethical Standards Department and see what they have to say. From reading on here about what has allegedly happened to some people, I think they would be pretty interested in what has been going on. I'd also write to the papers so the general public are aware of it. All seems a bit wrong to me, but I'm not a cop or a lawyer so I don't know.

My wife saw some douche bag in a silver 34 at the maccas roundabout in Taylors Lakes the other day decide to do a drift around it while it was full of traffic! kids were around as the school had let out for the day and the other cars in the roundabout all had to stop because of this tool. Mate if you're on here I doubt you are going to own up to it but in case you are you are a spanner! oh and you can't drift too well either and that was coming from my wife!
  19. take it off and clean it. Get the MAF sensor cleaner from Bursons etc. it works a treat! When you say you did the Tape DIY fix, wht did you tape? If it was the coils themselves then maybe do the whole loom as well, I did the loom on mine and it fixed all stuttering issues I had, after cleaning the MAF's and doing the solder joints on them too. Oh and make sure your spark plugs are gapped down to .8mm
  20. yeah but don't have chocolate in the shower, looks a bit sus when it's all melting down your hand and for some strange reason you've rubbed it all over yourself... uh oh.... I've said too much... NINJA VANISH!!!!
  21. ROTFL @ Astro!! Best post ever! Oh and girls, enjoy your cruise, I for one wish there was more girls in the car scene (and not just the skanky ones at auto salon who put ass prints on the cars) Have fun and be safe.
  22. So instead of buying a 32 sedan, buy a Stag! They would be considered a family car.
  23. sadly at the moment that is correct Grant.

Shell have their own refinery here in Melbourne. The fuel terminal at Yarraville (under the westgate) is where all teh fuel truck fill up. They each lease the tanks from Shell and Mobil. Here's basically how it breaks down. Shell have their own fuels Caltex, Mobil and BP all share the same fuel under 98 Octane and e10 (in other words, they all get pumped out of the same tanks but put into different trucks) Caltex has their own 98 fuel. Mobil and BP share the same 98 but BP puts their own extra additives into it, what this means is that you can always turn Synergy 8000 into Ultimate but you can't turn Ultimate into Synergy. As far as I'm aware they all get their e10 from the same place but get different blends of fuel to go into it hence the different RON they have. BP do have an e10 but it is not at the metro sites yet, only in the regional sites run by Reliance Petroleum. Only reason I know all this is because I work for Reliance Petroleum who are the largest Australian distributor of BP Products. We are also a national distributor of Castrol. I don't get a discount for working for them but I still use Ultimate as it has been the best performing in my car. I did also have great results with Caltex 98. I wouldn't use Shell V-Power personally unless there was no other choice, it goes stale quickly and loses it's octane rating faster than all the others, not sure why. I also got 80-90km less per tank out of it. They say oils aint oils so I guess fuels arent fuels. I want to see the Ultimate 102 fuel that BP rolled out in the UK here but it's not going to happen now since they stopped selling it in March this year. The stuff would have been sweet Clicky!!
