  1. Guys, being from WA i am not privy to your problems first hand but I have read your thread with interest and can assure you that we at www.perthstreetbikes.com have had this problem for many years, mainly caused by a few acting like wankers ruining it for the rest. We used to have a 'certified' sub forum. It was started by a mod, and the other mods were allowed to enter by being given access rights the rest did not have. People then applied to be allowed access. If they were known by a mod, the mod had to sponsor that person in. If the person was not known by any of the mods, that person would need to attend 2 certified events and personally meet and chat with a mod who would then sponsor the person. It worked well for a number of years and we had no unwanted attention from the law. Then we got too big and the numbers blew out and the rules were not followed so in the end it was shut. One day we might get it up and running again but if you guys seriously implement the rules, it does work, the certified members must keep it quiet from the others though. One certified member can introduce an uncertified member to a mod to try and speed up the process, you just need to make sure you are not letting unwanted people in there, this includes irresponsible people that could ruin it. As for notifying police, I think that is uncalled for unless what you are organising is going to be so huge to impact on the general public - ie, 500 cars in one place, definitely need to notify, 25 or 30, no way, why should you? You also need to contact someone fairly high up in the Police service and reach an understanding so that you develop the relationship b/w your members and the police not ruin it and for this the Police should be invited to attend. If a car has metal threads hanging from the tyres, no exhaust etc, then it should be stickered, but there should not be an open season full blown vehicle inspection because that is abusing the relationship. If you work at it with the right cop who issues a mandate, then it should work. We recently had amonthly coffee ride with members of our Police service and it really went some ways to mending the relationship - it helped that the dep police commissioner is a bike nut although recently all that hard work was undone when the Police did a full on blitz on bike fender eliminators - whoever heard of a fender eliminator causing injury or death.
  2. so does the air deflector aim the air coming in from the grill over to the pods? sorry to be a dumb ass?
  3. Hmm may be the very thing I was looking at to meet you mob particularly noting the other half is otherwise engaged that evening with a work dinner. Although in saying that Xspeed have promised to get my GTR to me this Friday, modded and tuned with new clutch (old one blew when Ant did the first run last Wednesday) so I will be a sort of stop in, say hi, shake a few hands and then I am sure I will want to get back on the road again to get to know this car that I have owned since buying at Japanese auction on 28 June but have only driven for about 15 mins in peak hour between imports 101 and Xspeed See you there!
  4. man people in my office are looking at me asking wtf I am crying about, I am reading that entire thread and it is so piss funny hahah ROFLLLLL
  5. this is really interesting, particularly the figures guys are quoting for the SS's. I have a 97 33, with genuine (was one owner with books in Japan) 59,000 kays on it, only had a cat back and pods (still had boost restricter in the line ). engine compression came back all good, all above 155, within 1 or 2 of each other. I have just had the following fitted (all new parts): GTSS's, HKS dumps, mines stainless pro front, tomei manifolds, sard 700's, hks fuel pump and adjustable pressure regulator, tomei pon B's and cam gears, tomei cam cap stud kit, HKS racing chamber kit, decat, kaki mega 3.5 rear, PFC d'jetro, evc6, splitfires, and some other bits n pieces like essential catch can, mines cam cover baffles etc. Now the car was put on the dyno at Xspeed on Wednesday for the first run, at about 4200 rpm and 15 psi with very rich AFR's as first run, no timing and no cam dial in (as first run) the clutch started to slip at 342 rwhp (X-speed's dyno is I have heard, conservative on power so maybe as high as 345 ish on others) and so the car foot was taken off the go pedal and the car removed from the dyno. I have now (see other thread) ordered a HKS GD Max which will be here next week, installed and then the car returned to Ant for tuning. Being the eager person i am they have estimated that I will make 380 to 400 rwhp so I am a little confused and somewhat dissappointed with other figures quoted above indicating 330 odd kw which is closer to 450 hp, particularly when I have done every supporting mod possible. anywho we will see what happens
  6. how I look at is it was not her driving or her car that caused the damage to your car so why the f**k would insurance even come into it - your insurance will however cover it as will most likely her house and contents policy, strange I know but that comes with PL insurance to cover this very type of thing most times. as for the comment about car park, don't think so mate, comprehensive or third party insurance is to cover negligent driving of the insured motor vehicle no matter where the driving occurred. Let me know guess, they told you that and you said okay..... next time that happens tell them you want the decision appealed through their internal process and if that fails go to the insurance ombudsmen
  7. if its true there is no defaming publication
  8. Why you say this, mine is there now, I thought Ant Scali was the man?
  9. Guys, as you may know from my posts over the last couple of days, I bought a 33 GTR on 28 June. It was finally delivered to me on 21 October (I know 4 months WTF???). I drove it precisely 11.4 kms to X-Speed, a tuning shop over here in WA to have just about every bolt on mod fitted (including cams, water pump etc) to it and then tuned by Ant Scali. Well the day came on Wednesday this week after seemingly a very very long long time for it to be dynoed. First run, rich as AFR's, 15 PSI (on gtss's), 4,350 rpm, 342rwhp and the clutch lets go... ARGGGGhhhhhhhhhhh and Ant is now away for a week. Car gets pushed off dyno and back to the corner hoist and lifted up. Into panic mode i go trying to source a clutch asap because if I do not get this car soon, I am going to kill someone...... it just seems to be one thing after the other. Anyway, I start looking around for options and decide on either a exedy twin or hks Max. I posted up on here under WTB and PM's some guys here. Yesterday morning, I negotiated a deal on a HKS twin GD Max (2604 sn001) for $2150 from James at Performance Guru, NZ. http://myworld.ebay.com.au/performance-guru If you check the HKS website in Japan and then look at the exchange rates you will know the price should be $2700 odd, just look at Nengun so this was a great price. Now this guy went out of his way to confirm a few queries within minutes, organised fedex to do a special pick up yesterday and fedex has confirmed the clutch will be delivered to x-speed by Monday, installed in the car Tuesday ready for Ant's return on Wednesday to tune so I can finally drive this thing. Pics will start flowing next week, suffice to say I will be stoked when I get this car back!!! Thanks James from performance guru, you are a total champ and a pleasure to deal with. I recommend anyone check him out if you are after items. NO i am not in anyway affiliated with him I am just giving some well deserved feedback and rep so others may see what he can offer them. Finally I would like to say a big thank you to the two forum sponsors who got back to me late yesterday afternoon (I know you guys are very busy) and for the prices it was just unfortunate that I had already done the below deal out of panic. Peace Simon
  10. hey the stainless airbox, is it an airbox or just a partition for your pods and what model GTR this fit?

  13. Guys I am chasing either an exedy NM042SD or HKS 2604 SN001. I need it yesterday and shipped to WA, if anyone has these available in stock what ever, can you please urgently PM me your price delivered to WA and if I can get it here in WA next Wednesday. Mine just shat itself on the dyno at 4,300 rpm and only 14PSI hehe, power hungry she is!
  14. no you have not paid it at all: when you sell something, the customer pays the GST which you collect for the government. When you pay someone else out, you pay them the GST but then you get to claim it as an input credit in your business which means you do not have to pay the government what your customer as already paid you (assuming they are equal).
  15. Hey guys, I have searched, can find something that deciphers R32 GTR codes but nothing for 33's. My code is GGJPRQFR33ZDA-AP-C. Now apparently each letter means something, for example, I think the Q determines that the car is a GTR, the F, manual, the R33 (derr!!) is R33. It is the last few that I am interested in because apparently these determine options and not the options that are noted in Nissan Fast which for this car are rear wiper, big front spoiler and passenger air bag (although being a series 3 this was not an option but standard accessory but meh...) So does anyone know what the ZDA-AP-C means - I have a suspicion the C is ABS but not sure. Someone also said that the AP could be active LSD? hope someone can put an end to my curiosity. thanks
  16. thanks Chook, do you know what the A, AP and C means in the model, does anyone know?
  17. the other one that was $275 or whatever was not the alarm just the DSM/GPS, you had to wire it into your existing alarm so you guys are competitive pricewise given yours has the alarm included
  18. Firstly you will need to register for GST for this and you do that if you expect to earn more than $50k per year. You need to understand that you do not pay GST when you sell a taxable supply (good or provide a service), you collect it from your customer on behalf of the government. You only pay GST when you buy a taxable supply. So if you sell a good to someone for $100, you have to charge an additional 10%, which is the GST component, so you collect $110 from the customer. $100 is your revenue and $10 is the GST you collect for the government. When you buy $100 fuel to run your car to deliver your goods, you pay $91 to the fuel station and $9 in GST that the fuel station collects on behalf of the government. The $9 you pay to the servo is a GST input credit for your business and is recorded on your BAS as GST you have paid out to others in running your business. So if you pay $9 GST on petrol and sell something for $110 and collect the $10 GST, you will effectively have a $1 GST liability for the period and you pay $1 to the government. Deferred GST is where you apply for an exemption to pay the GST that you collect for a set period of time, you do not get this money for free rather you have to pay it back later and after you have had a chance to rack up some GST input credits to reduce your liability to pay. DISCLAIMER: I am a lawyer NOT an accountant or tax specialist, the above is not intended nor should be taken as advice specific to your situation and you should not make any decisions based upon it - that is you should obtain your own independent advice from an accountant..... haha
  19. at the end of the day, 340rwkw from a essentially stock gtst is laughable. I have a 33 GTR with GTSS's running 19PSI , HKS racing chamber kit, Hks dumps, Tomei manifolds, mines stainless front pipe, no cat, kakimoto mega race catback, type B poncams, 700 sards (pump & AFR), EVC6 and d'jetro and only putting down 323KW (pretty sure on 4WD dyno but will check) so if he reckons 340rwkw on 15PSI, I want to live in his fantasy world, it sounds pleasant with an abundance of cheap HP
