IMHO, wait abit and get the whole thing done... I was quoted 1100 to get 4th syncro done, or, 1700 to get the entire thing replaced. The main cost with gboxes is the labor

Ah im just going to ask Hills auto (behind uas) to take a look at it when i get a cash injection...Got a feeling its going to be a new gbox, which is a suprise coz the car is/was in mind condition when i got it... From what Bozz said it wouldn't suprise me that the wankers that put in my clutch wrecked alot more than just my flywheel & slave cyl.

Im with brendan regarding "top 2 alarms", i think thats pretty guessable what they involve Some1 comes to u pointing a gun. a. pull ures b. trigger the silent panic button to activate the police tracking...whoops

I have the same problem, and found that 'ezy glide' (gbox oil additive) helped the problem alot. On another note, I have problems getting into reverse, and also first, and now other gears, i thought it was just the gates? Is it possible that the clutch is causing this? My clutch was put in by shonky ppl that charged *alot* and ****d my flywheel at the same time...they're at croyden *hint*.

850 fitted and painted? The bomex front bar i want for my 32 is going to cost that much alone to get it over here, let alone paint and fitting... Any1 know of places in AU that deal with bomex kits? UAS has a 'bomex' front bar for 500, though i don't think its original coz its not what bomex have on their site

noooo ive just had my fan destory all the belts and crack my radiator...don't want it again...how hard is it to tighten myself?

I've just gotten my car back from a mechanical problem that took out all my belts via the radiator fan On a cold start, the belts squeak for 10 seconds or so, and sometimes when im driving. Doesn't seem to be a major problem, though interested to know if any1 had a quickfix? Im thinking of spraying wd40 there, though wouldn't that cause the belts to slip and be pointles?

lolol it ****en ****s u aye For the life of me i have nfi whats causing it... They went over the springs, brushs, joints, everything, no problems. They oiled it all up hard, which made some difference (better but not perfect, and im touchy bout **** like this ). I'll let u know when i get my car back, should be friday

argh i had the same problem, and now im having the same noise issue... Its either when u turn all the way, or u go over a speed hump/etc, u get a creeking noise from the front left (in my case). Ive had it checked out, they couldn't find problems, had it all greased up, same problem still...Getting the steering rack colunm replaced atm, so ill let u know if it makes a difference

As above, My water pump (or part that hooks the radiator fan) snapped/died tonight. Its been making some noise for the past week, and i had it checked out today. It was going to be booked in for Monday > Anyway, as a result, the fan has come off, smashed parts of my radiator, killed my timing belt, and pissed coolant all over my ****en engine bay... Any1 have a $$ est?

*shudders* Thats where i smashed my car On roper rd/st onto great western hw. it connects to the main rd and theres traffic lights, Now, lets say for example ure doing something dumb. How bout we say travelling down roper rd at 150k, and at that, uve never been down there before. So when that nice little bend comes round after the hill and theres redlights, it tends to make u pack **** fast. Needles to say the front left wheel goes bang, ure rim goes crunch, ure tyre goes pop, ure sideskirt goes snap and all the metal holding the wheel makes bending noises, its not that exciting. As for west, im bankstown way
