  1. Medical - P.I.T.A. I like the Kellogg's method better
  2. I was just musing... Some of the massive differences in speeds between drivers at various teams this year (Alonso v Piquet/Gros + Homo v Hekki + even Fisi's Hero @ Spa to Zero @ Ferrari) has me wondering if Toyota actually would have won a race this year if Kimi, Homo, Vetel or Alonso had been driving for them. There has been signs this year that that car is better than the results have shown and I wonder how'd they'd fair with a propper known A Grader behind the wheel. I can't believe given their supposed budget they don't go out and get someone (say Kimi) for a year next year. I'm quite suprized they are baulking at his demands. I think Toyota are the biggest unknown in the whole field.
  3. What? You can do PI Invitationals with an L2S?? No fricken way surely!! I have one of those! LOL I presumed you'd need a National Racing License minimum (which now seems to be much easier to get apparently than it once was). Jess I have the AASA National Rally License - which comes free in every Kelloggs box @ Targa But no good for any of the CAMS tracks.

    Oz Map's

Yep the Jap ones work fine.

    Oz Map's

Cobb hasn't - local tuners have.
  6. On the to-do list just before "Get a CAMS License" is "Work out which CAMS license I need to get"
  7. Yeah I'll put "Get a CAMS License" on the to-do list for next year. But it's just been pointless me having one until now. I don't need it for the car rego and I haven't had any events I could do until now with one so there's been no reason. Although knowing my luck I'll go get the damn thing and then these "Targa Class" events won't be on anymore.
  8. Fallout 3 was long and you could also play it twice easily - once bad and once good - and they are totally different story lines. (eg Blow up Megaton or disarm the bomb). It also has the 5 new add-on's which I've started playing. Have finished the first 2 (Operation Anchorage and The Pitt) and have started 3rd one. Again even these add ons seem to have multiple ways to go about them (especially The Pitt so far) so will likely play them again as well. Still - those add on's come at a cost so aint part of the original $100 but I've certainly got my $$$ worth from that game.
  9. RE55's are allowed in standard class but you'd need 19's or 20's. My advise would be to run the standard wheels / tyres and run in standard class and destroy everyone! PS - I'm not coming at this stage. Sandown - Nov 3rd DECA - Nov 7th ATC Lang Lang - Nov 21st Mt Buller - Dec 4-6th + Wife and 2 Kids = Pushing it too far if I try and add PI as well. LOL That being said the race car (R34) is currently not quite right and there is a chance I'll have to miss Sandown and DECA. If that happens I'll be doing PI instead (and probably in the R35 and in Standard Class )
  10. I've driven both and I'm a DSG fanboy - but the SST is a sucky version! The EMO X is about the only DSG optioned car I'd choose the H over with.
  11. Nice Job Duncan. But FYI - don't come to Vic with slicks and no cage. There's no friggen way anyone down here lets anyone run on slicks without one. It's been a standard rule at every club day I've done.
  12. Honestly - the 1st I knew about the design was after the things were already built!
  13. They are MCA's. He's been quite tricky with the design of the rear shocks too since he was worried about space. I'm not sure if he is doing the same with the R32 GTST boys versions, but he's built the remote canister into the rear shock housing which is the same as he does apparently for the Showroom EMO's (even though I thought remotes were against the rules in Showroom!! LOL) But other than the weld you can't really tell it has one. But it's impressive stuff to look at. Now I just have to get it in there and see if my spring settings etc are all going to work.
  14. No they were more for weight saving purposes. (As my wallet is much much lighter now!)
  15. Did Webber win? I could have sworn watching the BBC telecast that Button won th race!
  16. No one does a good wheel alignemnt anymore - it's all rubbish these days. You can take the same car to 6 different places that have these lazer alignment machines and all 6 places will give you a different result but each of them will swear theirs is acurate!!
  17. For what its worth in my GTR with RA's we run around 12kgs fronts and 7kgs rears. Although I'm thinking of dropping down to around 10 + 6 soon since I think it's a bit stiff for Targa stuff (but those old settngs were great for Sprints / Duttons etc) Not sure what the weight split on a GTT is like compared to a GTR (GTR is 63/37) but if you can find that out and want to keep the fronts as 12's then you can work out the ideal rears easy enough.
  18. RE11 replaces the RE55's
  19. Told you it would be the povo-pack day. It is cheaper though! The funny thing is if you can run like 1.25 you'd be in line to be the fastest car on the day by some stretch! LOL
  20. Yeah well the Dunlop M's and RE55 TT's work well on lighter / less powerfull cars as well but just not on our big beasts. But I know Jeff Beable ran the A050's @ Targa Tas this year on his R34 GTR but I'm still not 100% convinced they are going to work for people like me and Aaron. It's just a shame the Dunlops are so damn $$$!! Bridgestone Oz need to hurry up with the release of the RE11's god damn it!!
  21. Russ - this is the question I have been wanting to ask people running the A050 "mediums". Are you actually running the Mediums or are your running the M compund? Because the M compound is infact the Hard compound... (I think the mediums are the S compund and the softs/wets are the SS compound) Or maybe M stands for mediums, S for soft and SS for Super Soft - but if thats the case then they don't make a H compund - so the M is he hardest you can get. It maybe that Yoki M's fall in-line with the Dunlop R's (Medium Hards)?? Because I know my car doesn't like the Dunlop M's and Aaron found the same with the RE55 TT's - which are both true "medium compunds" so it would be interesting to see how the A050 M's held up if they are the same as the TT's etc.
  22. Ah more like $2K (all the quotes I've had for the full VBOX Video with 2 cameras have been well over $4K). Still POV = $1K, Driftbox - $900, Trckmate software = $200 - so as I said it works out comparable and thats only with 1 camera angle.
  23. Interestingly Racelogic have just come out with a new cheaper version of the VBOX Video (Called VBOX Video Lite) - which is basically the same unit except it has a plastic casing, the secondary camera is a slightly lower resolution and it has different plugs - but will come in around $2K cheaper than the full unit (which if you price up a seperate camera, GPS logger and editing software is very comparable and yet this will be much easier to use). Details - http://www.protechdevelopments.com.au/Data...B_Lite_DATA.pdf
  24. Yeah it is. They run with the Ford car club. It's like the poor mans Holden and Ford clubs (as opposed to the HSV / FPV days). So full of shitboxes - but it's usually cheaper as a consequence And Dane - MCA's
