  1. In boxes on my shelves lol Crazy busy working 6-7 days a week up to 12 hours so no time to play cars really. Going to QLD next week so will be while for updates, see what I can squeeze out. Must finish welding up my remote header tank and mount that this week too Been learning to use auto cad 2012 aswell as I have access to a cnc plasma table now, so can hopefully run some sneaky nests in there for tow hooks and my brake caliper brackets so much doing, getting nothing done lol
  2. gonna be loud with that low level of deadening material who is brett? should we call him? is that pen holder made out of old muffler perf?
  3. im running 17x9 +22 with 245's front and rear and its flush but no rolling required, just at legal height too.
  4. huh? what? hks 3040 0.87 rear AR comes on same rpm as a GT30R with a 0.61 on another std rb25
  5. if i could drop it to all on @ 4k rpm it would be sweet setup is too laggy for wakefield, but i'd be happy with 300rpm and the additional corner speed with semis should be fine though.
  6. still no speedo sender hopefully soon though, its been ages. had to drive the car today, and im uber dissapoint with the tune on it ramping onto boost in 2nd from a T intersection was seeing 10:1 AFR's which would be a big contributer to the lag im seeing. options are a retune and see how better it can get, OR a 0.61 housing from the 0.86 and then a retune. option 2 is another $450 though
  7. rim docter was right that its corrosion under the clear coat. you could try and find a place that can machine off the clearcoat, then you'll need to keep polishing the bare alloy after that point. if you are keen, you could mask up the rim centres and use a paint stripper to remove the clear yourself then polish it.
  8. send me some details on the welder brad the kempii im using will be going back to its owner soon
  9. haha bugger, oh well no easy way out for me keen to see your 4" mufflers too when they arrive
  10. whats the depth or thickness of each flange? can just get the basics cnc plasma cut in 10mm sheet when thats running at my mates work to get the ball rolling
  11. yeah that makes sense to me, didnt realise those types would leak. i did notice your male lip on the flange too, nice touch i know a guy with a cnc lathe so if you want to share the specs of the rings i'll get him to price em up for me and anyone else who would be keen. had my machine shop do the black plugs, but for the price i think i'll do the head ones myself if i get some spare time!
  12. loven it michael!! while i love making stuff, after 2 hours machining those vband flanges i woulda given up and bought some from otomoto for $60 lol did you drill the bungs out of the head? or tig some steel rod onto them then slide hammer? or were the heads bungs also alloy?
  13. and still somewhere to put ya smokes too
  14. im just using the wood blade for alloy, same as on drop saws - take it slow and there really isnt too much issues. i picked up the H&F one i linked above already and it is handy as for small alloy jobs, heaps better than an alloy grinding blade
  15. southlander : they are pretty easy to replace, there are screws under the rubber seal that hold the trim in place. Just pull the rubber down and you'll see the screws i've got one here on a wreck if you cant buy one at a wreckers localy.
  16. Looks handy to have around, but its around $50 for 40 rods and you need an oxy. i'd love to try it for rim repairs though
  17. i reckon its related to that nasty mig weld on the flange right next to the crack, does it look repaired inside the pipe?
  18. hows the shifter location? got much room to spin the steering rack to get the rest of it to fit?
  19. d1 spec - i'll remember not to buy their wheel nuts lol kit on that red 32 is vertex
  20. ahh, didnt realise his was ex n/a
  21. r34 and r33 use different rotors, just incase you didnt know
  22. send me a pm with the source too ? lol looks great, need to do the same thing on my 33 as the 5% tint makes good reverse lights a need to have
  23. You'll need to get them polished before annodising if you want it shiny. I import my gold powders as the local stuff isnt anywhere near as gold
  24. should have the 4 lines feed from lift pump return from rail feed to pump return to main tank
