  1. Yes for the 33 you run either a Z32 ecu or an Rb20 ecu but you lose the VVT with the RB20 one It's a bit of a crappy compromise I guess for the 33 owners.
  2. Anyone read the useless comments made by that girl lily? Anywho I think that you'll find the guy isn't as much of a douche as he's made out to be, they just chose the lines that fit the story. I'm sure it was, "at 3am me and my mates always speed" *edits out "at 3 am"* Generally I just ignore these kinds of articles. On a side note, burnout pad in Bullsbrook? I'm down
  3. Yeah i hear alot of stuff about running +T's in low boost applications, higher compression ratio for less low down doughiness, apparently it works pretty well for drifting and that with the better midrange it offers *shrugs*
  4. How do you manage to screw in a sparkplug on the piss? :S Man if the wiring was old and crumbly, that's quite posisbly the issue. Think it's 150-180 from nissan.
  5. With phones we have to send them away 3 times before we replace. Best bet is to just play the game, send it away get it repaired again and if it doesn't work then send it off again. It sucks but it's just how it goes I guess. I get abused alot over this.
  6. wrestling ? You've got to be kidding.
  7. Hey could I get my name changed to Gdekwant? cheers.
  8. +1 for replacing loom. i think they are about 150 from nissan. might want to check what issues bubba had when his went to see if it matches up with your problem.
  9. check the events section. At this point I'll be going to the cruise on saturday. I clean my engine bay with degreaser and a hose. Wrap up my reservoirs/alternator/fuse box/fill the coilpack channelo thing with rags then plastic on top/ i think im missing something else. Spray degreaser, wait 15mins, spray water, scrub anythign that didnt come off easy right away, leave bonnet open in sun to help dry. Couple hours later, unwrap reservoirs etc, give those bits a wipe down. done. This has been done once ever. Waste's a good few hours.
  10. I'll try get my ride height fixed this week so I don't look like a drag car, then might come down for this one. Depends if it's raining or not.
  11. We generally use the search function to be honest. Come to a meet or something, ask around for Greg. I can talk you through some things. It gets pretty expensive once you get past the suggestions made by Michael on the first page.
  12. Quick search reveals http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ex...exh+temp+sensor Seems you have greater issues.
  13. sounds like the ecu is on rich and retard, hence running rich. Have you taken it somewhere to check for error codes on the ecu? Send Douse a pm on this forum he has a consult cable and software so he can plug it in and check if theres an error code flashing, or just search the forum for ecu error codes and start counting the flashes:P Alternatively take to a mechanic that handles nissans alot, and has a consult cable.
  14. Ah Really, I didn't realise there were instructors there. Cheers.
  15. I feel you sam. I don't even bother replying to alot of texts I get about my car. It gets to a point where you just can't be bothered trying to sell a car with the douchebags that rock up.
  16. couldn't say. However I can definitively tell you that light is for the exhaust temp sensor.
  17. What I would give for a private skidpan:(
  18. Yeah but if your gauges are far enough down the a pillar, i.e. past the steering wheel, you can get permits for them. It's like you don't need to have carpet but you have to have a headlining otherwise wires may start to fall down.
  19. A car running 10's isn't exactly a street car. You also need a helmet at the drag strip, and i assume pass scrutineering ? (Not sure don't drag) A full cage is illegal because there is a cross bar that runs next to your head and you don't wear a helmet on the street so its a possible head injury waiting to happen. Half cages are legal, have to get the car engineered as a two seater technically but its not a huge problem. For most defects there are reasons, and there are exceptions to the reason a lot of the time. Which is why you can get the car engineered to allow a car to have mods that are otherwise illegal. If people decide they don't want to get their car engineered then obviously its gonna be defected. Not having a go but you have to see it from both sides dude.
  20. Man mine goes black pretty quick. Thankfully its raining atm which stops it Btw if anyone manages to get ahold of one of these guards, let me know, I might be up for one.
  21. Ok, when buying a car I always want to give it a quick rap, just once or twice, especially with skylines missing on boost/coilpacks, i also try to let the clutch drop a little to see if its slipping. However you always ASK first, "hey mate mind if i give it a bit of a squirt" generally its fine. I wouldn't buy a car if the guy wouldnt let me drive it.
  22. Won't be rolling on 20's though. Not legally at any rate. You'd also be causing a large taste violation at the same time.
  23. Gazza im 99% sure thats incorrect. You cant increase front/rear track by a certain amount and generally cant increase the width past the widest available on the highest model of the car. i.e. 8 inch wide on the GT-R Rolling Diameter cant by increased by more than 2 inches. Its something like this. You cant increase the track at all on a FWD car. I'll look into it.
  24. I don't do burnouts on the street. Keets is right.
  25. boom tish
