  1. Yes Mike, that's exactly why I listed them as separate questions. Most people who do a thread search will look at the titles as results, and if I have one thread will all my V36 questions in it it will be a dogs breakfast (what would I title it and how would people search for it easily?). Eventually these individual questions could work their way into our own FAQ.
  2. Hmmm... my 'AFS' warning light flashes too. Methinks they buggered it up during compliance. Once I get the Xenons to put back in I'll get someone to check it out. Hopefully it'll be a matter of putting them in and they'll just work. BTW the 'Auto' lights are awesome!
  3. Hey guys, Anyone know the factory wheel alignment settings for a V36? Camber, Castor, Toe, all that good stuff. Can you just use a 370Z specs? Everything required for me to go and get a 4 wheel laser wheel alignment. A mate who works at Holden tells me these should cost around $65 in Victoria, and ideally you want a place that get's it's laser calibrated often. David.
  4. Does only the left HL turn with the steering wheel? That's all my car does. There is a picture in a user manual that seems to indicate this light is the only one that moves and goes 30 degrees. Makes sense too, as you already sit on the RHD of the car. Does anyone have BOTH lights moving around corners?
  5. Hey guys, Just got a V36 and trying to work this baby out. Here are a list of the voice commands from a G37 site, presumably the Jap model will say all the same things (perhaps a few nav differences) http://www.g37-tech.com/wiki/Voice_Command_List Event | Japanese | English When you press the 'voice command' button on the steering wheel = Commando dozo = Command Please With everyone's help I'd love to complete this table: English | Japanese | Phonetic pronunciation (verified working) Help = ? = ? .... David.
  6. Priced dropped another $1k. Come make an offer - I need room for my new car. Any tips on how to sell would be great - as this car should really be selling itself. i.e. is Carsales the best place?
  7. Welcome. I'm a Nissan freak too and just bought a V36.
  8. Oh yeah that's the 'web quote'. A friend got a car over from Perth - Melb for $900, so I know they're negotiable. They charge something like $15k for a Ferrari!!
  9. Yeah that's true. Am I just delaying the inevitable? Still, this is a 10,000kms grade 5A car, I want to be the one to first put the scratches on it. Surely heaps of people on this board have experience with this?
  10. Hey guys, Selling my lovely R34 that I've tuned to perfection over the last 4 years. You can see how long I've been a member here for, from day 1 and prior to that SkylinesDownunder. I have all the contacts, maturity and capacity to keep this example running sweet. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat....aspx?R=8489089 Pictures do not do the car justice - need to post some more up. Price is neg. Feel free to ask whatever questions you have here. Forgot to add - HKS suspension throughout. Regards, David.
  11. Hi Guys, Time to make way for the new V36 Skyline. I'm selling my R34. Honestly it's an amazing car, I'm going to miss her. Really spent up big on this one under my novated lease. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat....aspx?R=8489089 Price is negotiable. Regards, David.

  13. Note this was from Brisbane to Melbourne, sent to home address (not depot).
  14. What is the best way to transport a car interstate? So far I'm booked in to go with TOLL, however I've been told this is an 'open truck' service. A mate who had his car transported like this said his car had a few stone chips when he got it. What services have people used in the past - and what price did you pay? I was just quoted $1850 from Alans car carriers to have it sent in a fully sealed truck. David.
  15. You'll pay more for Black, Sunroof, SP spec, manual vs auto, etc. These can go right up to $60k as Chris said for 19" tyres the lot on the road. In JPY perhaps 3.3m is about the highest you'll pay.
  16. I've also been told the grounding kits make a big difference to responsiveness. Can anyone here comment? Also a front sway bar makes a big difference to handling. More power you can hit a corner at more power out of it. It's like getting a power upgrade.
  17. Hey guys - is it worth fuel tuning the V36? On one hand it's used to Jap fuel. On the other, isn't the ECU smart enough to figure this out on the fly? Even if you sacrifice a few kw's you keep the stock smoothness? Or are these things really rough, flat spots, etc and can benefit a lot from it. Also, what's the best way? Piggy back ECU with the V36's? No-one knows how to flash these things surely?
  18. Yeah, unfortunately the next lot of gains don't come easy or cheap. Around $5k US for a supercharger kit from the US. Finding someone to fit and tune that though is probably harder then finding someone to tune your ECU! Good news is you can benefit from the cheaper US price / economies of scale. If that thing were developed locally / custom it would be like $15k, plus you'll have some knowledge knowing it's been used successfully in teh US. Huge gains though, if you wanna go you gotta blow. Puts it into R35 GTR power range.
  19. Has anyone done any fuel tuning with their V35 / V36's? I'm getting a V36 soon and was thinking it would be a good first mod as these things are used to Jap fuel anyway which is slightly different. Unsure to go a Unichip, Greedy Emanage or a S-AFC though.
  20. Hi Chris, No, I don't believe we've chatted about my new car before. I'll give you a call tomorrow anyway. David.
  21. Hi Chris, It's the one in Brisbane. They didn't say it was 'required' for compliance. I'd just want to protect my car the best I can. Is NATS5 good enough? I know the NATS on the S14 200SX was supposed to be quite good. David.
  22. Haha yes I can see my sentence was a bit wonky. Replace (here in Australia) with (as a person who is in Australia).
  23. Why? Do you think they don't do anything? Wouldn't it be better to get some cut to size?
