looking at the PT 6266 as most of the components of the T78 can be used. Thanks for your input Pete

Is there someone from Newcastle that knows G-Force Performance Centre, if so are they any good. Or if you know a company that does good work in the Mid North Coast. Live in Forster and looking for something closer than Sydney, thanks

I read something on the GTROC Forum , they did not mention Ceramic Ball Bearings so it should be OK So I have another Turbo on my list , thanks
-
Hi Richard, your numbers were right, I had a look at the Borg Warner site and that could be one I will keep in mind. I did see they are Dual Row Ceramic Ball Bearings , I remember a post/s saying that these can brake up and enter your motor , or was that referring to a different type of ceramic part ?

No offense Ben, would not have stayed on this site if I took offense easily blokes say what is on their mind and I do the same, all good. The trouble is knowing nothing is a pain and I have tried to look around and the more I look the more confusing it gets, someone will love a product and the next bloke will say it is a heap of crap, makes my head spin

Thank for the input, now to make it easier for me. After a month of driving the car I know I will never use the set up I have. If you can please give manufactures name and product # for turbos that gives me power early, 3K-ish or less if possible, 1. What is the best Single Turbo that will give me the response I am after 2. What is the best Twin Turbo system to give me the response I am after Thanks Pete

-

Is there one you could suggest Yes, old Dude 71, but 21 inside Thanks for the advice, it is hard when you know Sh@t all about something, at least I do not BS, just learning, never too old to learn. The only DUMB A person is one that does not ask people that know what they are talking about. thanks again Had some good info today

car is great and have started to detail it and when it is finished I will take some shots, black shows everything! It is good to be driving a manual again after 7 years, the Quad clutch is easy so as a DD it is good. It has a T78 and I want better response earlier than around 5k. Dropping the clutch at high revs is not a good look around town, so I will need to go Twin Turbo unless there is something I can do with the T78, I am putting Tomei Poncams type B in, I have looked all over the web and I know someone will say" look some more" "this topic has been done to death" BUT the thing is everyone has a different opinion on brands and models. This is a Skyline site and I feel I will get the answer I need. Systems like. Nismo R1 TT 2860- 5,7, 9 GT 35R , SS T618Z , T517Z TS 172 and on and on. As a newbie I am confused. As a DD I want the car to be responsive all the way but starting as early as possible. The car has enough mods to handle power, well maybe except for the fuel delivery it has a Bosch 044 . Any help welcomed.

Z-Tuned Carbon Fibre Bonnet / Quad Clutch
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in New South Wales
Thanks Wedge , they do not miss with the cost of these things, there is no Nismo logo so I guess it is not an original but maybe the ducting will do the job anyway Really starting to enjoy the car as I get to know it better and learn a bit each day. I think the more you know about something the better you can appreciate it. In today for a full service and fix an oil leak , hope it is nothing too serious -

Z-Tuned Carbon Fibre Bonnet / Quad Clutch
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Nismo 3.2ish's topic in New South Wales
Had a good look at the bonnet and some photos of a Z-tune bonnet , not the same. There is no Nismo logo, there are no ducts and it looks different in the vents, so apart from the work done at CRD most of what the car yard said was bullst. Would happen to know if there are after sales plates or ducts than can be added to the bonnet I have? On the bright side, after a couple of days I have got the quad clutch under control and it is easy to use, I heard it was going to be hard on the peddle , it is easy enough and hardly any difference to the TT300ZX I had ages ago Found a quiet place and gave it a bit of power and dropped the clutch, even at 338awkw there is plenty of grunt -
do you know if all of the Radio, gps, dvd, camera types are all the same in R34s or after market installations and all could be different ?

Hi Terry, I do not care if it is a copy as I need an owners manual as I have no idea about some of the electronics , is there a site where I can get a copy, free or pay is OK . I tried and got the full workshop manual and have downloaded it but NEED the owners manual. Maybe all of the combos GPS, radio, DVD, Bluetooth , reversing camera etc in the R34s are all different, but the one I have does not even have a brand name on to suss it out. Hope someone can help

Ever Caught Someone Admiring Your Car?
Nismo 3.2ish replied to comarcus93's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Your more than welcomed, it is a great shot Well, got the R34 today , left the car yard and it was just about bumper to bumper until the free way, that was fun but it got better as I became more used of the quad clutch, not much room for mistakes but only had to hit the key once but a few bucks . For a while I thought, what a heap of crap, my 350GT is much more responsive and it is,as you do not have to be aggressive to get results in traffic. BUT when I had a chance to get the revs up, what a car, the more I drove it the more I loved it It was/is strange how high it revs before anything happens, the 350GT is responsive ALL of the time ,3.5 Lt. grunt then turbos kick in when the foot goes down. If you have been down the Lakesway going into Forster you will know it is a good drive and not too much traffic and it gave me a chance to see what it was like on a bit of twisty stuff, just great and I could feel the difference between that and the 350GT grip on the road You may have seen some of the digs at me for buying this car, my lack of research, clueless ect and for believing the false claims made about the 800HP this car will have after the tune, well I will be having a go at the car yard and taking them to consumers Affairs, I do not like being crapped on BUT just love the car and back to the topic!stuck in traffic for a while and I had 4 blokes wind their windows down and talk to me,some drove past with the thumbs up and in a good way, so it was a good thing I had learnt a little from this site, thanks for the helpers and thanks to the stirrers as it all helps to get your head in the right place, not that dark place where they tell you to put your head Chillin with a Red or 3 -
Ever Caught Someone Admiring Your Car?
Nismo 3.2ish replied to comarcus93's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Terry that photo angle is great , shows the car very nicely Going to Sydney to get mine this morning, not looking forward to the bus trip but the drive home will make up for that -
Yes I am looking forward to getting the car, yes I knew nothing about the car when I bought it and dumb enough to believe what was advertised and told me , just loved the car and could not help myself ,it was an on the spot job and do not regret it. I would not have used the full power even if it was there, I have 253rwkw on my 350GT and i can only guess what the 338awkw will do , my intentions was to tune it down, haha now I do not have to worry about that Clueless yeh, but since I have been on this site I learn something every day, Thanks everyone

The bloke that owned the car ran out of funds when the WFC hit hard, he was still building what he wanted and had to garage the car when the cash ran out. I went on the advertising claim of up to 800hp from the car yard thinking they should not be able to make claims like this as is it was SO FAR away from the truth. But I will have my say about this soon. When I spoke to CRD they said it was a work in progress 5 years ago and had not had it back until now. Part of the next stage was a HKS 5 duel solenoid boost controller( I had this installed),the next mods were going to be a better fuel system and Tomei poncams drop ins. It already has a Nismo 2-way LSD. So it is a solid system and I am happy with it and the HP it will get on completion of the mods I am not wanting a monster, once I do those last 2 mods ???

How Often Do You Get Tailgated?
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Elegant Skyline's topic in General Automotive Discussion
The problem is when you stamp on it to overtake and get caught the fines go through the roof because you can hit some high numbers by the time you pull back in. In the old days you were allowed to over take as quickly as you could and when you have over taken get back on the speed limit, this is a better way to do it, bit hard now as you cannot speed to over take and you can sit out there as the bloke you are over taking also increases his bloody speed, I do it ASAP and take the chance, stupid , I guess so ??? -
They just added the Boost controller and Dyno done, 338 AWKW ,so nowhere near the sales pitch talk. Spoke to the bloke at CRD and he said it is a good unit and if I wanted more from it i would need to update the fuel system and a new cam and they could lift the performance, think that will be enough for me for a while and see what I want to do in the future . So I will pick it up on Saturday and see how it goes on the 330 kls ride home , should be fun

Tyre Sizing Question And Abs On R34 Gtt
Nismo 3.2ish replied to Chris32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey I am 71, you must be older going on the gruppy metre , this is all new to me ,I tried to find out and got conflicting oppinions depending on what they wanted from their car. I have read this, there are different set ups for twins, Parrallel, Sequential and the Series type. A lot seem to like the series type but they can be a bit tricky at times, if the second turbo spools in power especially in a corner when not expected it can be Then a big single supplies air to all cylinders and more efficient , I guess depending on the quality gives you your desired results. That is iff you have the room for a big single. You say Big Single=better , tell me your thinking why they are better and were the singles are better instead of sending me off to read the same info again I am here to learn from you blokes
