Well it is off the Dyno and no real surpises, 338AWKW, they sure can crap when advertising cars and seem to get away with it, I am sure it will be enough for me and CRD said with some other mods. fuel system and cam it will be able to get much more as with the fuel system it has it will starve for fuel. When I get it home I will take some pics and post them. Think I will have a go at the interior if my back will let me, old upholsterer

Well the car has been on the Dyno, no real surprises, 338 awkw They put in a HKS duel solenoid boost controller and said if I wanted too, after I finalized the sale they could get much more with a fuel system upgrade and a new camshaft , this would take it to another level, I think I will be OK with what I have for a while and maybe down the track do it. It makes you wonder how car yards can make these types of outrageous claims with out repercussions. Spoke to the CRD and they said it was a good unit and can get a lot more out of it with the mods I mentioned. I am sure I will be happy with it , plenty of grunt for a dd
  3. I have had a look at some of your Forum imputs and you seem very knowledgeable, I know nothing and willing to say so, you should use your powers for good not evil. I have tried to search info out and cannot find what I am looking for or get no reply so I will ask you. Before I bought this car there had been a lot of $s spent on the motor and a new Nismo 2-way LSD and I wonder why they put a Greddy T78 single Turbo system on it instead of using the standard twin system that came with the car or to a better TT system. They are now putting a Tomei pon drop in camshaft and a HKS 5 duel solinoid boost controller and will be on the Dyno later this week and then I will know what they will tune it to.   4. Thanks but in NSW Does not look like there are any oppinions about the Greddy T78 as to what is best , the original Twin system or the T78, guess I will keep looking. As I am a new forum user even though I have been a member for a while and I have been told to search before putting a new post up, it seems to upset some older grumpier members, but it gets bloody frustrating when you cannot find the info you would like as I am not the best on computers.

  6. saw one around for a while Terry but then no more, tourist I think. Even my 350GT gets the looks, kids also seem to love it.
  7. sometimes going down to Sydney , even in a 3 lane section the outside is bloked and they just fn sit there no matter what you do because I do not think they ever look in the rear visions, bloody madening some times you have to go to the inside lane to get past the AH
  8. HAHAHA, I know what you are talking about, most of them are full of it but you expect it. Yes he is doing the tune and as usual there will be some haggling about stuff ,the contract is signed but I think I know what I am getting, so not too many supprises, well I hope I have spoken to Croydon Racing Developements and they have confirmed the work sheet(4 pages) and are doing the tune, I have another list of mods from Advan Performance Auburn, they did 9 mods, 2 of them were Nismo Bodykit including a Z-Tune Carbon Bonnet, Nismo 2-way LSD and all the mods together would be about $50k, that is more than what I paid for the car , so I am happy enough. The outside is very good (Changing the wheels), the inside is crappy but I am an old upholsterer and maybe I will get off my butt and do it up a bit. It was stated that the car had 17,000 Kls on it, well for each wheel and the spare maybe, I have never seen a car look so good outside and so crappy inside. But nothing that cannot be fixed up with a bit of TLC. Just busting to get it home, well the drive home should be interesting with the Quad Clutch , see if I can find my old saddle there will be a little fun on the City drive but I have over 300Ks on the road and the Lakesway is a great drive if you can miss the pot holes

I have the original wheels on my R34 GTR , I look at this beautiful mean looking machine and it looks empy down there and was wondering what size wheel/types will the R34 take without body mods. my 350GT has 245/35z x r19" on the front and 275/30z x r19 on the back and it looks balanced, if you know what I mean? I know MANY purests will not agree, but if we were all the same it would be a boring world.

Single road situation, I am usually a tad over speed and if they persist I just slow down until they get the message and move back, works most of the time but sometimes it just makes things worse if you have a nutter up your butt then it is time to GO or pull over I have a thing about young sheilas doing it and as soon as you go to a bendy part of the road the fall way back only to sit up your butt again on the straights

No Well maybe but it is a T78 who knows what they say on car sale info It was at Edward Lee's Japanese imports , he sold the car some 5 years ago and the bloke had some hard times and resold it back to them after doing a lot of Mods, have the paperwork on Mods and have checked through the companies involved, all good
  15. Some of the parts should give someone an idea of the type of work done on the engine, no thoughts on what was done to the engine can get up to 600hp ? When the cam and boost control have been fitted and after the final tune mid next I will take a photo of the Dyno readout and post it
  16. Thanks for your input guys, I have paid the deposit and signed the contract, I am not worried about that, the car is worth it to me, I just get sick of being crapped to. The motor work was done by Croydon Racing Developements and from what I found out about them they know what they are doing. The car had $42K SPENT ON THE MOTOR , too many things to write and most of it I do not understand but here are some of the mods; GikenT78 Single turbo kit, OS quad Clutch, push /pull kit, Koyorad radiator , custom made catch tank, Z32 air flow meter', ,nitto h beam connecting rods; je/nitto rb 26 forged pistons, nitto rb series high volume oil pump, 9 lt sump conversion, machine work on engine block, engine rebuild- hand file rings ect, bosch fuel pump ; and all of the other bits and peices that needed to be done. That is not counting stuff that Advan Performance did, I think they know their stuff. So there was alot of money spent and the work was done by people in the performance business. I feel OK about the car, well I love it I do not know very much about getting a R34 up and running and I maybe wrong, but 600HP, I will soon find out?
  17. The new parts are ,HKS EVC 5 Electronic Boost Controller and a Tomie Pon drop in Camshaft and from I can find out they seem like good quality, OK ??

Forgive the terminology, maybe I will get it later on Well bs is still alive in the carsales industry and why am I supprised The R34 I am buying that was supposed to be able to be tuned to 700HP to 800HP could not make 400HP. It could not get enough boost to kick the turbo off.I think he said it was only about 12 lb., it was about 200KW Had it on the Dyno today and found out I need a turbo boost controller and new cam once the turbo controller was installed to be able to take the power it was capible of acheiving , Mmmmmmm Trouble is learning can be an expensive business Grrrrrrrrrr!

  20. I feel like a bit of a dummy on this site as I am sure you blokes ,well most of you know what you are talking about. ?? To be honest I do not really know what I want from this car until I get it home as it is being tuned today, I will not know what the power will be until they have it on the Dyno ,I am sure that around 600hp will keep it at a safe setting from what CRD said. I had my 350GT TT tuned to 350@whp and it is fun when you get a bit bad. BUT from my test drive this car will be totally different in just about every way, except enjoyment. Think I will have some fun driving back home with the OS Giken quad clutch 350Kls ,like the test drive there could be a few stalls and hops getting through Sydney on the 350K ride back home , i hope it has a good battery The idea of power is nice but not everything. You read heaps about the R3s Skyline series and how well they handle and can be modified, I want to feel the car for myself, learn to drive it and enjoy it, At this stage I am trying to understand the car and the modifications that have been made to it and the only way I know how to do this is drive it and ask questions . I am not a car person in the real sense or a rev head but I have had many cars, I have been driving for 55 years, I enjoyed all of them, now I am moving to a different type of car, you only live once so do the things you want to do now!

I asked this question yesterday but it was lost somewhere, maybe I posted it in the wrong area ,NA, I am new to R3s GTR, have a 350GT Skyline import , I had a APS Twin Turbo System installed and it goes well for a dd. I just bought a 99 R34 GTR, the car had mods from Croydon Racing Developments 5 years ago ,one thing they did that I do not understand they replaced the twin turbo system with a Greddy T78 single turbo, CRD seems to have a very good name in the business, so I guess they did it to get a better performance from the work they did. Most of what I have read indicate a TT is better, why would they change to a single if a twin system is better and could have used the$s on some other mods. But a few say that a big single on a straight line 6 is better, I have no idea and would like some people that know these cars to help me understand more about the R34, THANKS PS always loved the Skylines and now I have one
  22. I know it is not a new model but what do you think of the Greddy T78 Single Turbo, I have it in my R34 and was wondering if twin is better. There are many different oppinions and I was wondering why they would take a twin system off if they are better?
