  1. Black is a good look and I got to luvit, but I think I would prefer to change the rims but running out of $ so that might be a while , maybe I they will grow on me Lowering it, funny you should say that, when I have been driving around 3 or 4 blokes gave me the but signed me to lower it, now you have got me looking at it again, haha I asked at the shop when I dropped it in about lowering it and he said it is not far off legal now , is it 100mm to the lowest point? I know it is higher than my 350GT because I can get up my driveway easier in the R34. I think there is a trade off between looks and bad road conditions?? Also, up here the potholes and lumps on the roads can be a pain and the road I like to drive the most is one of the worst , good straights and lots of windy sections but crappy road surface in sections and it changes all the time because they patch it , it rains and stuffed again I have done 2 tyres on the 350GT on this road, bloody potholes I will ask the shop how much can I lower it, the cops up here are pretty hard on some mods especially if they can see them
  2. Sh@t, just wrote a long post and lost it in cyber space, BUT I said I would have taken any of the Rs, I loved the look, the history of this machine and its ability to be Modified I said I would never buy a black car because they are HOT and get DIRTY when you just look at them BUT look like a million $s when clean, do not blink or you will miss the moment I think I would like to change the wheels, like the black but I think a little bling looks good down low, any suggestions
  3. Hi Dan I see you a lot on the forum and luv yr sense of humour , well I think you are joking most of the time maybe stirring would be a better word
  4. OK I will take it Just love to put it in my lounge room I took the front and back diffusers off as they are useless for a DD , cannot get up my driveway I also cannot lie straight in bed Will post the new Dyno readouts next week , has to be better than this
  5. Yes, it is not a V-spec, I asked a couple of times on different posts about this and also asked if I take the logo off , will it stuff the paint up. Just had one reply so far that said if I use a heat gun/dryer that I should be able to take it off without damage??? I do not want bullsh@t on my car, it was there when I bought it, probably added a few $s for DHs like me, but I did not know any better and if I did would not have cared, just loved the Rs, it will be my last car and I intend to enjoy it Next week this car will be around 370KWAW as a daily , it should have much more response and kick in about 3k , the motor has enough internal mods to take it to 800HP with a new fuel system , so I do not think I need to boast by putting a BS logo on the back bumper, sure do LUV it , do I have to take it OFF
  6. After all of this talk ,are these things any good? Or, if caught you are in more trouble than just the speeding ticket???? Is there a product out there that gives us a fighting chance if we slip over the limit, without being fined for having a radar detector in our car. If they have to put up signs saying there is a radar speed detector up ahead , why are we not allowed to have something to detect them ?????? Before you shoot me down, "do not speed" and then "no problem" shit it is hard to stay within a 5k limit with a modern car where 1 or 2MM on the peddle is about 5 kph I have done lots of dumb driving over my life in cars that should not have been on the road and today would be scrapped , F, cable brakes were fun the car could go twice as fast than it could stop
  7. Hi, I did not take any before shots , this car was in a garage for 5 years and I think it must have had holes in the roof, the water etchings were really deep and took forever to get the crap out. Going to wax it when it get it back from the workshop
  8. I guess before I said something about Rego plates I should have put my car on the post , so here it is I will swap for your RED one , it is stunning
  9. that looks great , love the angles of the pics. I just put a post up on Rego plates, sorry
  10. I would rather put it where you have it, especially if you push your car hard, waste of time having a large air opening if you fill half of it in with a plate? You can see where I ended up putting mine on, I was lucky the spoiler/plate was the right size for it, probably stuff it if I hit something but that would be the least of my worries, haha It is not so much where they put it but the condition the plate is in, this is on many beautiful machines, buffed and waxed , motor you can eat off and a crumpled plate, shit hit it with a hammer a couple of times and put it in a plate holder, about $30 and looks a crap load better, I might be a little anal but it spoils the look of some of these great looking cars
  11. Been on the site and have seen some great cars with super mods, that R34GTR meet and greet had some great shots. BUT what I have noticed with a LOT of these well cared for 32 33 34 Skylines they seem to just nail the Rego Plates on and it does not seem to matter where. Everything looks perfect and these slightly bent and twisted Rego plates. I mean personalized plates that do not come cheap. Some are just put anywhere? Is there a reason for this or just something that gets over looked Maybe taken off when racing???
  12. looking at getting a suspension kit, maybe a S-Tune can anyone point me in the right direction for this type of kit
  13. Looks like you owe the Sheila in your thumbnail some new threads Welcome
  14. Had a look at posts and it does help me understand it, my curve is very low and slow to rise , just like it is to drive, lots of gear changing and a pig to do step hill starts and goes hard after 5k. If I did not live in the bush I would hardly ever use the turbo. Thanks everyone for that info and it helps me and it lets me see how laggy mine is. When they are doing mine I will have them email me a reading, at least now I have some idea if it is going to be OK and I will post it before I go to Sydney to pick it up, hopefully you and others can comment if you think they have done a good job ? My dyno torque reading just looks so dead compared to most of the others here with similar KW. They said the motor mods etc will handle more power, maybe need more fuel but I have enough HP, I just want a fun street car not a laggy heap Thanks Andrew but the car goes in on Monday for the mods The car has had a lot done on the motor and was a work in progress, T78 was part of the build but the bloke ran out of money and sold it before he completed the build.

  16. I am chasing low end torque in my R34GTR, so I am changing the T78(Dyno chart) for a PT6262 and adding poncams Bs on a strong motor. I am booked in for the work next week and have asked for the car to be tuned for more low end torque. As you can see from the Dyno reading (as I was told) is bad and would be a bitch to drive, it is. They said with the new turbo and cams they can tune it to the response I asked for and will be happy with the results. Has anyone got a Dyno readout to show me what more Torque looks like on 338KW so I can compare it.
