Ha said he can put the ECU into another R3 in the shop as it is easier that way or bench power the unit to install the file. But if it is a RAM system and there is a battery in it ( I have not been able to find this info out) and the battery is stuffed how would it keep the tune until I get it back into my car, wish I knew more about computers

anyone on the mid north coast that will work on R34GTR with a AWD Dyno Tuner

Can you just hook the ECU up to a computer from the Tuner and download the tune again or does the ECU have to be in a car to do it??

Good thinking , I was going to use my laptop just for this but had to do a couple of OS trips and started using it for everything, now I cannot even log on to this Forum with my laptop (using PC now)and had to re register under a different name T R NISMO1 , so unless I have the shop clean it out I will get something else for banking and private info without going on other websites , paranoid , you bet I clean 30 to 60 spams from my mailwasher every day, put them on my blacklist and spam list but they come again and again and it is bloody annoying

Not afraid of the Internet, just what it can let through to my computer and take a safer option , keep stuff that does not need the Internet away from it.

Hi Dave Had the Turbo and Cams changed and the car ran great, the clutch was soooo much easier with a bit more low down power, a different car , you could feel it working like a car should not a heap of crap. The brown is the new tune I was really happy for 300Klms and lost the bloody tune So have to start all over again, going to change the ECU , maybe Haltech or MoTech , do you know anything about them or recommend another brand for me to look into?

Thanks Dave , I will take the heat to it when I get it home next week. Fishing wire, you mean run it under the sticker after I lift the end? Why do they put this BS stuff on, just made me mad when I found out it is fake because I am worried about the paint trying to get it off I have only found a couple of RED R3s on the web , one was in East Germany, Your pics were the best was this a standard colour in the R3 range,only had one red car a TT300ZX , just loved it and a ton of fun Joey has been a great help and being able to PM him made it easy for me as I know I have asked some dumb questions, poor Joe, haha. Getting help from you blokes has made it so much easier trying to get the results I am after, I will know if it worked out as expected next week and will post the Dyno results to get your collective input More important I will tell you how it drives now as that is the test for me I have had over 20 cars but never really got into them like this and I am enjoying it. It will probably be my last car, what a way to go out :banana:
