  1. Firstly, sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. You may be able to get something suitable done at either a trophy place if you want it in badge form (e.g. for the NISMO>SIMON). For the Imprint at the back, I'm guessing a custom bodyworks place would be able to put something together.
  2. I'll probably regret saying this after I get flamed by everyone, but for a very short time of my life (probably about 3 or 4 times) I used to be one of those little sh*ts egging parked cars, many years ago. A couple years later once I was on the road, I received my share of eggings which I deserved. For the record I never egged an import, these were usually old beaten up cars, but wrong none-the-less Can't stress enough to invest in a car cover if you are parked outside!
  3. Interesting thread Used to have a modded 93 charade as a daily but it got broken into at the train stations twice so i opted for an ugly brown n14 pulsar. It's completely stock except for the 15" cheap grey mags which don't stand out anyway. Has jet black tint so those punks can't see inside, and so I can't see where I'm driving at night
  4. Nova, although Merrick and Rosso (+ Kate) are running out of material
  5. I've always thought Veilside kits were tacky and over the top. But its not what we think, it's a matter if you like it or not. Do it for yourself, not others!
  6. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...hl=boot+leaking I'm pretty sure mine needs the tail light re-sealed, as I also have moisture in the left tail light. Water must be coming in from there when its raining as the carpets are still dry
  7. nevermind, found the thread i was looking for!
  8. Just wondering if anyone can recommend the type of interior light globe in a series II R33 (more specifically, the two interior lights at the front near the rear vision mirror) and where I can get it from? I have tried Autobarn and Repco but they seem to have given me the wrong fit! Thanks
  9. Hi All, Lately I have noticed that the boot leaks during times of heavy rain. I haven't spent too much time troubleshooting the cause but I'm assuming its the rubber boot seals. Has anyone else experienced the boot collecting amounts of water in the boot? If so, are there any other causes aside form the boot seals? And where can I get the boot seals from if that is the case? Thanks in advance!
  10. I wasn't at home at the time but I think about an hour or so I did pretty much the same thing by hand with PlastX but it really doesn't last long (maybe I just have a weak arm . I thought my problem was coming from the inside too (because of the visable cracks) but after the outside was done properly it is safe to say the problem was from the outside. It would be interesting if someone did have a ballpark figure for what it costs in getting thew inside done though!
  11. Hey guys, This was done yesterday and overall I'm pretty pleased with the result. The outside of the headlights are almost perfect (the surface is now smoother than the finish on my car) although the inside wasn't done which mean there are some very feint cracks even more visable now that the outside is crystal clear. With the headlights on at night there isn't any more cloudy dirty appearance from the plastic so I won't bother getting them opened up anymore. Photo's attached but I don't have any before shots
  12. Yes I have these on mine (purchased from previous owner) and they seem fine. First car I've had with coil overs so I can't really compare. As for their service, I have only been once to get a wheel alignment, other than the price ($110, I think?) they seemed fine. Slowed down the wear on the inner-rear tires.
  13. http://www.gtglass.com.au/HeadlightRepairs.htm I booked in with these guys for tomorrow, will let you know how it goes!! $70 a headlight sounds a bit pricey I know, but mines coming from both outside and inside, and I'm getting desperate (P.S. I have done the sand down + polish technique a couple of times since last year and it keeps coming back (maybe it is due to the fact it lives outside)
  14. much agreed, mass effect is an awesome game and i am definately getting the second one. rumour is that you can continue on with your character from the first game
  15. +1 They sorted out my defect issue by installing a stock cat-back. Affordable price, maybe a different story (pretty similar to other places). Best advice is to keep stock parts aside so you can bail yourself out in future incidents
  16. The EPA let me off on the emissions test even if it was a teeny bit over the standard readings, but I had to swap to a stock exhaust and cat so I could pass the noise test. I got defected for exhaust and BOV so it was just a matter of going back to stock. Best of luck!
  17. The turbo's on skylines do tend to go after a decent time of driving it hard but it is nothing to stop you from buying it. It is just another part that needs replacing when it needs to.
  18. P.S. I have an EPA letter here, if you do feel like you need to know the rules in terms in air intakes, BOV's, exhausts, etc their number is 02 9995 5590
  19. Yep, anything that can release into the atmosphere. They made it pretty clear for me the second time I was pulled over. I just listen to some NWA and deal with it.
  20. It's not 'apparently', IT IS a defect for any blow off valve which has any atmospheric capability, whether adjustable or not. I got defected with an adjustable BOV a couple months ago. But then there are cops who will sometimes let you off with a warning like the first time I was pulled over in my R33. They understood I recently bought the car and need to get some money aside to get it street legal. They didn't buy the story the second time :-) Rules are rules, not matter how shitty they are.
  21. To be honest I think Lambo doors would look better than suicide doors. But hey it would be different, I'm interested to see!
  22. Privilige isn't dressy, it is just a bar in my opinion. I used to get in there with jeans and a T-shirt. Tank however, is a bit fussier. No sneakers allowed, and you need a collared shirt (usually). 50/50 on the guy/girl ratio too so don't bring too many bro's.
