  1. It was on my r34 gtr when i bought it in japan and i removed it with all the cables . If you want i can take a pic for you . It was working when it was on the car , i just dont like turbo timers . I'm not sure of the other functions ( what they do, never tried them ) but i do know the timer was working .
  2. Just post your email and i'll send you some .
  3. I totaly agree with that statement , i have seen several stuffed engines when one of the turbos lets go .
  4. I can assure you that a stock r33 gtr will do mid 13's anyday , anywhere and a 2.0 sti ( no 2.5 lt sti's sold in australia , only in usa , but the 2.0 lt is much better engine ) will do mid to high 13.s . I have done it in both 13.5 in the gtr and 13.7 in the sti . The gtst on the other hand will do high 14.'s and i have done 14.2 in a normal 01 rex ( the slowest of them all ) 99-00 rexes are the fastest . You wont see a stock gtst fly past a stock rexy at anytime i can assure of that , i have owned plenty both stock amd modified , the gtst will only see the rexes tailpipe from the start to finish . Now if you are talking about gtr the rexy is not in the race , sti is closer but still not as quick as the gtr .
  5. If you read the previous posts you will see that you need to chande the top bracket so you can fit it in . BUt they do fit no problem at all in both gts 33 and gtr 33 .
  6. I just checked the weight on the rego ( my 01 rex , 03 is the same ) 1352kg . I checked the 02 sti rego 1432 kg ( extra weight is mainly the 6 speed and a few other bits ) . Checked the weight on the r33 gtst ( on the Nissan workshop manual ) 1320 kg . And you are right in saying the hatch is a little heavier and add a little for the auto as well . Having said all that stock for stock the rex is quicker than the gtst everywhere and by a good margin as well . 0-100 + 1/4 mile . On the circuit it all depends on the driver and tyres used . And no you dont have to rev the rex to 6000 rpm top take off , there is no point . 3000 rpm is more than enough and no you wont break 1st gear either taking off . Rexes break 2nd gear but mostly on worked cars and by people that dont know how to treat a rex g/box . I have had several rexes and i have never busted a box yet .
  7. You could just take the pin out and drive it home . You will need the whole lock housing ( alloy ) a new barrell or reinstall the old barrell in the new ( used) Housing , (not an easy job ) and a new key . If they broke the steering shroud you need that as well . I bought a new shroud ( r34 gtr ) from Nissan for $105 , a new immobiliser ring $220 , ( you dont have it in the 33 ) and a used ignition housing $75 but without a key , i used my old barrell . They took my floor mats and damaged the A-pillar mould , new floor matts from Japan $500 and i still havent replaced the A-pillar mould .
  8. If you are in Sydney i can get you Toyo 255x40x17 ( proxes T1S ) for about $260 each . Let me know if you are interested and i'll find out the price for you . Check them out on the website http://www.toyo.com.au/
  9. If you are in Sydney i can get you Toyo 255x40x17 ( proxes T1S ) for about $260 each . Let me know if you are interested and i'll find out the price for you .
  10. Justin , i can get it cheaper in Australia , i replaced one a couple of years ago in an r33 for about $75 .This is just for the light switch though not the complete assembly that would include the wiper switch as well
  11. You will find you have a crook switch .
  12. R33's dont have a chip in them . If your original key had a chip and you cut a normal key it will unlock the ignition and doors but will not start the car , it wont do any harm either .
  13. Do you have one to suit a 34 as well ?
  14. They will , the lights are the same , the grill brackets are different and the gtr lights have extentions at the rear where they bolt on .
  15. They just like the gts lights , if you have high beam on the low beam switches off . I made them both go on on my old gtr ( series I 95 mod ) and you can do the same in your gts .
  16. In short no you cant ,the grill brakets are different and they have metal extentions where they bolt on ( you can remove them though but may break the plastic ) .
  17. Black 32 gtr on Marsden rd Carlingford with a huge front mount and white enkies on a tilt try . Didn't look like it had any body damage , i wonder what went wrong .
  18. Ricnismo , The balasts are underneath the light but they should have been removed , usualy cut off , sometimes just unpluged and removed . They should have inscribed on the top black plastic "H1 12V 55W " , thats to indicate the type of globes they have in there . All gtrs and gtts come with xenons as standard , some none turbos and some sedans come with halogens . Gtr xenons are reflectors not projectors , series III r33 gtrs have projectors but the 34 xenons are brighter .
  19. I'm prefer to pay $2 k for good condition used forged gtr rims rather than pay $2 k for heavier weaker new cast rims . If you want cast rims just buy Australian rims for well under $2 k , you can even get simmons 3 piece for about $2.5 k
  20. I'll have a few sets of new forged jap rims ( 18" ) for $2000 , how many can you get me and how soon . P.M. if you like .
  21. If you are buying tyres on price why not buy retreads then ? Have you had a cheap Chinese rim break on you ? It's not much fun let me tell you .
  22. They are about $3300 each from Nissan , they are a forged rim and very strong but they are not light ( for a forged rim ) the 34 gtr rim is 1/2 kilo lighter and its 18 x9 . You don't want to put Chinese rims on any hi performance car , so any decent rims will be over $3 k for a new set .
  23. Yes they do , you buy one from Nissan ( about $100 ) , take it to your locksmith have it cut to suit your lock ( copy from your other key ) then back to Nissan to have it programed to suit your immobiliser ( $50- 60) then it will start your car .
  24. There is a good axample that was auctioned on the 29th of june .. You could land this here for about $33 k + compliance + rego costs . Do you know anyone with compliance plates for them Nick ? When they start coming here in numbers you will see the 350 z's prices go like the old 300zx's . These cars will depreciate very quick in Japan . Nissan Skyline, 2003 Frame: CPV35 Color: silver Run (ths km): 25 Equipment: AC AW PS PW Mark: 4.5 Grade: coupe GT Displacement: 3500 Syaken: 02.2006 Transmission: F6 Price in Japan - 2031000 ¥
  25. You can one in japan for about 250,000 jpy ( yahoo auctions ) , probably cost you around $4500 landed in Aus . I just missed out on one last week , it went for 267,000 jpy and it had a short shiffter and a triple plate clutch , it had done 10k k's , well so they said . Just jap ahve one in Sydney for $8 k .
