  1. I don't think your picking up what I'm putting down Does aircon cut at WOT on 99.9999% of cars yes But, does the HP loss from from a running aircon translate to enough to justify shutting it down when running a interchiller with the Dodge Demon I read that Dodge keep the compressor going, is it a "special" compressor, is it that the RPM limit is 6500rpm and their techs think the compressor can handle those revs, in the end the compressor works the same at idle or 6000rpm, faster does not equal colder In the end it's a difference of only 2000rpm for the Demons compressor The issue I see is spinning the compressor up high RPM, OEM seems to think 4500 rpm is fine, what fudge factor % was reduced for warranty Maybe the compressor can spin up to 8000rpm, whilst only loosing 5 hp??? Maybe the compressor explodes at 6000 rpm???? Maybe the compressor in a Dodge Demon is special Maybe I'm talking out my arse and have not remembered correctly and the Demon compressor shuts off lime every other one In the end Tesla use a electric motor to run their AC compressor, which runs at a constant speed, maybe you could jerry rig one of those puppies Electric power steering pumps are a common mod now, hell I want to fit one to my current beastie Maybe the next fad will be electric aircon compressors TL;DR I'm bored at work
  2. Yeah but I read somewhere that the aircon does not drop out at WOT, although god knows where I read it, it was when I was researching interchillers But I don't believe they use a different compressor between the NA Dodge and the supercharged and interchilled version Again, not to sure, but maybe Dodge have found an answer to your particular conundrum Maybe not
  3. Have a look at the Dodge Demon interchiller set up I "think" it keeps the A/C running at WOT In saying that, it was designed and sold as a 1/4 mile car and the rev limit is 6500

  6. I used this on my 33
  7. Budget for a gearbox that will hold that power if you plan on using that power
  8. Cheers Sadly RaceTCS has no harness I've just ebayed a 7 meter length of CAT 6a for the ABS and 10 meters of 10 core RVV for the injectors, I'll strip it back and make up a harness, I also ebayed some Deutsch 2 way connectors to intercept the neutral I spent yesterday looking at electronic stores and stuff, buying 8 different coloured wires was an impossible feat, and they only had 7 core RVV I went overboard with the 10 core and CAT wire, but I want to use the same colour wire for each intercept, the routing is about 2.5 meters one way, so 5 meters may have worked, but that didn't leave alot of options for routing the harness With 10 meters of 10 core and 6 meters of CAT6a I could fit the box in the boot if I wanted, which I don't, but I could My only concern is tapping into the correct ABS line, I may get someone with more skills than me to find which one is which, the rest of the wiring and harness making, is a cake walk I would hate to think what a shop would charge to do the wiring It's a waiting game now though as I needed to get the 10 core from China, and if it coming by sea I believe I may be in for a long wait
  9. Option 3. 10 meters of 10 core 0.75mm RVV
  10. Can you shoot me some info about how you wired it into the injectors and abs My plan is some stranded CAT6 twisted and sheilded for the ABS How did you/what did you use, to connect into the ABS/injector wiring? Crimps/solder??? Chewing gum??? For the injectors Option 1: I'm either going to get 9 different coloured 0.75mm stranded wire for the 8 injectors and 1 earths, then make up a harness with corrugated conduit and heat shrink Option 2: Get 4 x 5 core 0.75 FVV, 2 x 5 core each bank for my injectors in and out (allows me to keep the same colour wire for the cylinder in and out, and the spare for the earth Any pics or recommendations would be most welcome I'm looking at option 1, but I may be missing something simple Now, where or my wiring tools that I last used 22 years ago????? Who am I kidding, Jaycar here I come
  11. You need to engage, and pay for, an engineer first, there's a list of authorised one on the RMS website if you in NSW He will inspect the car and then tell you what you need to be compliant, once you address everything he can get it singed off In truth an engineer should be sought prior to any work to avoid the requirement to redo stuff that wasn't done to spec Engineering a car can get costly
  12. Yes, you can turn it off and rip skids....in Mehiko Or for heating up tyres at the drags Have a google, apparently you can fit sensors to anything really, cost to fit said sensors is ????????
  13. Stupid US dollar My impulsiveness kicked me in the balls with the current exchange rate, and shipping was exxy for what it was at $107US Meh, as the cool kids say "Yolo, sent it, hold my beer" or something like that
  14. The cheapest way to not suck hot air, and/or get defected is the way to go Me, I wouldn't worry about anything you cannot see
  15. Doesn't the Supra use a slushbox? The new "slushboxs" aren't the lazy old things like they once were from what I've seen, and they seem to work fine, both in performance and reliability/strength wise I am happy to be schooled on this
  16. Looks like the old race logics one Pretty cheap, which sort of worries me I wonder who can wire this puppy up for me?
  17. Cool, my info must be off, the guy I was talking to was pretty confident and says he is tight with the owner
  18. One possible benefit is due to opening up to the huge US market prices might settle a bit Currently the 2500T goes for around $4500, then add in pinning it in, and tuning, and the other "supporting" stuff that it needs, it will be a costly endeavour You seem to be all over "tuning and stuff", do you have any experience with torque management???? Fom my research the Haltech torque management is awesome, and there's no point in having alot of powers if you cannot lay it down
  19. Want torque management Like dis > Haltech also sold to Holley today for all of the money's Another Aussie brand gone offshore
  20. Got some video of a run or 2, purely for my enjoyment pleasure
  21. Nice, I do like the classic stuff in the background
  22. You seem to like them from all your posts about them, do you own one?
