  1. almost looks like the outlet for the internal wastegate has been welded closed???? Or does it waste just past the exhaust wheel?
  2. www.nengun.com look there for a price, james has one of his r33 gtst, looks nice and saves abit of piping i gues.
  3. WARPSPEED- Good explanation mate, The reason i have got the GTR plenum sitting in my shed over the Greddy on or custon one of stock runners is because i bought a big package when my engine blew, consisted of afew gtr parts including crank, rods, plenum, injectors and fuel pump n rail, also came with lots of other goodies, for me to get all these goodies at a good price i had to buy the lot. Everything is usable on my rb25 and therefor i have a gtr plenum that i am going to adapt to my head and see how she goes, thats why this thread was started. I understand that for the low-mid range torque its not going to be benificial and maybe not significant gains in top end power i havent a clue but since i got it i am going to use it seem logical? I got head port work, 256 cams therefor retaining vvt, to try n help with the breathing alittle. I think its better to put it on now whilst i have the engine out and in pieces rather than trying to swap manifolds over months down the track when the engine is in the car and driving.
  4. rns1z was that skyline blue? i have seen it round b4, dyson built the motor and then the new motor blew up on the dyno so they had to build it again. now it seems to be ok
  5. my bad rns11z, mistaking u for buster, u didnt have a td06 i dont think hehe, anyone had an experience with the td07?
  6. yeah, i am bumping my rev limit to 8000rpm so i wouldnt want it to run out of puff by 6500!!! thats abit silly. What does the TD06-25G housing equate to that u had? that was good aye? hav eu had any experience with the TD07-25G?
  7. yes totally understand mate, i too am going to be in the turbo choosing boat later on after i get my engine back together. the .82 rear is seeming the wise choice, i was going to go 1.06 as i was told that would be awesome but i want a broad power band not the very narrow band.
  8. if they come in a range of different exhaust housing sizes why would gt35 not be able to be equally as good on rb25?
  9. we are more than likely going to weld the adaptor plate to the manifold and port match it to the head. I think this is going to turn out alrite.
  10. im sure alot of research did go into the gtr plenum, im going to stick with it for the moment and see how it goes, then i can tell u of the results that i have seen ok steve and others. I would like to get the greddy one but already have the gtr one so im going to see what i can make outta it.
  11. respectable time. Mild Gtr but hey u got one and i dont Good work champ.
  12. i dont think that an rb20 comparison would even be accurate to the rb25. Afew more cc's to play with on the 25 so hopefully it should work alittle better than the results of the rb20 one, however i still dont know anything about the results of the rb20 rb26 plenum thing.
  13. Why do u say this steve?? Have u seen this happen before? I thought this would be an improvement over standard>?>?
  14. can anyone elaborate? I have seen the ridges inside my gtr plenumnow, has anyone made the adaptor plate before to match rb25 head?
  15. have u got those adaptor plates to suit the gtr plenum on rb25 head??
  16. i will be using a power fc with the single tb. Im alittle worried about the difficulty of adapting the gtr plenum to my rb25 head. Seems port design is different. i have no idea.
  17. yeah, i had 1.1 iridiums in my car, started to perform no good, so took em out and put in ngk bcpr7es and it went like a rocket, better everywhere in the rev range, no stuttering or hesitation down low just wheelspun
  18. i think my stock turbo used to reach full bost (1bar) at about 3300rpm. But of a difference in spool up time. But willbe interesting to see how the hiflow goes with the other nik naks i got done too
  19. Hey Sk, is there going to be much difference if i use an 85mm throttle body? Or am i actualy better off trying bigger like 100mm?? Im not up with this airflow stuff so please inform me? I wont be racing around a circuit, it will be dily driven on street with occasional willowbank day for drags and drift. no circuit racing. does this make the single tb choice alittle better?
  20. how can u tell if ur car is surging? What would happen to the boost gauge?
  21. ok, the multiple v single tb thing. I am going to stick with the single, although i was referring to a 85mm single tb and the info was given at 100mm tb would the response be better from the smaller throttle body? I was reading on these forums that munro's street gtr is using a single 85mm tb insted of multiples???
  22. well im going to have to stick with what i have for the moment, i cant see there being any dramas with the GTR plenum. Single 85mm throttle body is probably the choice too. Im not expecting to make any big power till i can upgrade from a high flow to a bigger turbo. I havent done much research on gt30's etc, im more hooked on TD06-25Gs or T04R but will see thats a fair way down the track as i spent all i could on the motor and motor accessories getting it strong.
