so are these cars getting dodged up over sea or hear in Australia or a bit of both, After having mine for a couple of years I am finding things to suggest that the km aren't the original km eg cam belt and my instrument cluster is actually out of a auto not a manual one??? Luckily everything is in good working order. And I got mine from a well known importer!!!

cheers for all your help, but I found that stagea have there own hicas unit so no other's will bolt up and when i replace the Hicas motor it stops the noise for a few days but then starts up again so i have gone as far as i can with all that, I have just bought a Tomei lock kit and I am just going to lock it off and disconnect the hicas cheers

or you can get those v35 rims painted, they look really nice a dark charcoal

would really like to but have a stupid head cold and the car is in bits so probably not, maybe next time unless i start feeling better and bring the wifes micra along

spotted a m35 in Launceston yesterday on the corner of St John and William st, I only just got a very short look at it as i was to busy watching the 180 in front. I am guessing it is rickzx new stagea. Hope to see more of it around the place

this clutch thing is doing my head in!!! I have exedy saying that a VLt clutch is the one i need and then i have Xtreme clutch's saying i need a r34gtr clutch and say mine is push type but i thought gtr where pull?? I find it hard to believe a Vl t clutch would last the distance, So my question is WHAT clutch do i need????????????? If any one knows the part number of there clutch that is in there stagea could you please let me know cheers

yeah all good I just got quoted $1100 for a Excedy HD tuff clutch, fitted, I was going to leave it for a while but we went for a cruise up to the great lakes and the clutch is no more, it got me home which is a good thing!!! If you can give me any info on re-building your hicas that would be much appreciated as i dont want to lock mine off but its sounding like the easiest option cheers

Gday hows things? How are you going with the clutch, have you got any prices yet and if so how much roughley as mine is on the way out so i need to start saving Also I am pretty sure we have found a way of locking up the hicas without removing the rack, very easy job. I will post up pics and explain more when done should be with in the month cheers

update on this hicas problem, bought a r33 hicas motor and swapped it over, noise totally stopped for a good hour of driving around town, then slowley came back getting louder and louder to the same as before :-( In the mean time I have been searching the web and found a couple of pages say that if there is any problem ie motor or sensor stops working the hicas is unable of moving make it from 4 wheel steer to 2 wheel steer, So I disconnected the motor and took for another drive, No noise!! Has any one done the same for a long period of time and found any change?

Gday all My friends and I are still going ahead with our cruise on Saturday 26-06-10, We will be meeting at the officeworks car park in the morning and heading off to the lakes which we will then stop off at the Lakes pub for lunch then heading back down. If its snowing then we will be going to bicheno. Gday all I am still in search for a R33 - R34 hicas motor or whole unit, the one i was l going to buy ended up being for a R32 so it was a hydraulic setup not electric. Braddd I am still keen just let me know when you are getting yours done, I am not sure what they are actually worth but they seem to be going for $20 to $80. ( I like the $20) lol cheers

gday all I am after a rear hicas unit, only really need the motor but will take whole unit, Dont want to spend to much as I am not sure if it will work on my stagea. If you have swapped over to a lock bar or going too and don't want the unit taking up space let me know. cheers andrew

My friends and I will probably meet you guys at the start and then take a different route, we have all done a lot to our cars between cruises and are keen for a all day cruise down to Bicheno or the Lakes.
