ummm not to keen on that, to short and to much highway, we need at least one or two corners,
-
before adding or going out and buying some fluid just check to see if it actually does need some because when you look at the reservoir it looks darker on the bottom due to a filter or something in there which makes it look empty but it is actually full, you need to open the lid and check or shack the reservoir, And as KiwiRS4T said check with engine running

yeah i keep forgetting to look at this thread!!! has the route been finalized yet, its getting close!!! cant wait !!!!

yes yes please tell... dying to know who the new owner is, will it be staying in launceston???

This maybe a stupid question but when adjusting ride hight with coilovers do you have LHS the same as RHS? I had the two fronts the same and the two backs the same but it seemed to sit higher on the left hand side, I am in the proses of taking them back out to check whether i stuffed the measurements up. I measured before taking it apart and it was 9mm high on LHF and 5mm at LHR, I will find out tomorrow night if I have stuffed up, The reason I ask is cars are normally higher on one side to allow for the drop off on the roads but that would be determined from the coilovers??? If you have installed coilovers have you set them all the same???? cheers

lol, yep i was in the same boat to, thats what i thought mike was saying, and i couldn't get my head around it. thanks for clearing that up Mike,
-
my comment wasn't directed at you wolverine, i was questioning mike's comments about the correct toe, I am no suspension expert but that was how i understood it
-
I agree about the incorrect toe killing tires really quick because thats how i killed my first set they only lasted a year and totally bald. if you have the right camber setting's your tires will last a lot longer then if your running a lot of camber from lowering your car, in time the inner corner of your tires will be worn and the outer will still have plenty of tread left, if you where running correct camber all of your tires would wear evenly, well that how i understand it, correct me if i am wrong

Looking good there SABBAi mine is opposite to yours 340 rear and 330 front, I am thinking of changing it to 340 all round, bit worried about to much camber and killing my tires. I hadn't even given the cv joint a thought

yes yes done a search and i know i need adjustable arms but my question is, are people using them if so what brand and if not then at that hight are people finding its not handling to well
-
Gday all I have just lowered the Stag using BC coilovers which I am very happy with, I was worried that they where going to be way to hard for the Tassie Rd's but they are very comfortable. My ride hight is 340 front and 350 rear I am concerned that i am running with to much camber so I am wondering what people are doing, whether using adjustable camber arms and if so what brand or if you are just leaving it as is. cheers any info would be good

post what you find out, I have been meaning to look into it, its on my long list of things to do

be careful of some of these ebay items, I heard a story of a cheap hicas bar giving way and lets just say the car is no more and this wasnt on a track either!! not saying its all crap but maybe stick to trusted band names.

finally got the new rims painted and new tires, installed the bc coilovers and the car is mobile again, need to do a engine flush, new oil, oil filter and install the turbotech boost controller. the rims came out a totally different colour to what i was expectimg but still look very nice. To SABBAi How low have you got yours sitting and are you using adjustable camber arms. Mine looks about the same hight but looks to have more camber on the wheels and i am not using adjustable. I will post some pic up next week

Just found my v35 rims sitting on the doorstep in plain view of the who street, good one stupid courier driver. just test fitted them and for some reason i dont think i will need spacers on the rear which makes no sense because my 17 x 8 35 offset would not fit but the 18 x 8 30 offset does ?????????? its only 5mm difference mind you i havent put any rubber on them yet but only been 235 they wont over hang so we will have to wait and see what happens. And the the rims arn't in as good condition as i thought they would be, so i might have to give them a cut and polish or re painted. they look bloody tough and i cant wait to get every thing sorted.
