  1. http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Nissan-Wiring.pdf i haven't used this so... yer it would be a good idea to buy a multimeter there only like $10 u dont need to get a $250 one and wile ur they get a CRO that way u can eliminate clipping but seriously multimeter
  2. welcome to the forum wozza69 yer the cop ah probs didnt have it set up right. i know the older ones had to be between set angels to produce accurate reading so i would guess it would be the same for the new ones
  3. i was actually referring to a $10 multimeter sorry for the confusion every one
  4. i can just imagine the boot space in a r33 with LPG but why would u want to run LPG in a "performance" car
  5. whats wrong with the $10 ones lol
  6. well lets say they some how managed to fill all the cooling channels with liquid nitrogen, as the engine would heat up a extreme amount of pressure would be exerted to the internals of the engine by the liquid nitrogen trying to become a gas = catastrophic failure = very bad. the only way it could be implemented is by spraying it in a liquid form in front of the radiators and as it becomes a gas will cool the radiators. and then there are the safety issues for having that much liquid nitrogen on the track, freezing drivers and the anesthetic effect of nitrogen and the chance of a explosion due to the liquid nitrogen heating up and then the engineering complications. how are you going 2 pump it what will keep the spray tips from freezing, un even cooling will cause the radiator to crack what if a pipe caring liquid nitrogen broke there would need to be a emergency shut of capable of operating in extreme cold, how to store enough liquid nitrogen and how to keep the insulated vessel crash proof and the added weight would slow the car down making any cooling benefits negligible
  7. the reverse light is of a separate relay not through the ECU so find the relay and wire it up to the HU and u could also add a rocker switch so the camera could be turned on even if the car is not in reverse or to disable the camera. its up to u how u exactly want to wire it. note i guess u could get away without the added relay but i have never installed a camera so i wouldn't know and does the HU have a 12V out for a camera ? if not use the above im guessing but wire it to the camera as well?
  8. the use strong gas like nitromethane gas (forgot what its called ) but basically it will stop your lungs and hart and really hurt ur eyes. i accidentally inhaled some when tuning my RC car and lets say it wasn't pleasant. safety warning RC cars are f**king dangers
  9. i vote chain car to a pole. i would lol if i see this
  10. i love it. and nobody die's... then again would rather have the thief dead or really f**ked up although if they got locked in the car with that smoke for 3hr's im sure the would not try it again couldn't u use a relay with a after market head unit as the kill switch. so when the face is not plugged in the HU is of and with the relay (s) kills ECU, fuel pump, coils the list goes on. if this is too good of a idea admis delete this post jks
  11. mobile phone activated alarm. lock doors behind the thieves and with a gas bottle gas the mother f**kers
  12. kill switches suck. i vote make it so they can brake in and drive the car but then make it so the doors lock behind them and a bypass valve directs all the exhaust gas in to the cabin or use a gas bottle with some type of toxic gas. this would be very easy to set up with some of the mobile phone activated alarms. just wire up a relay to the door locks and another to the gas bottle. hmmm this is a pretty good idea, it started as a joke but maybe just maybe something like this would work.
  13. i vote get a experienced alarm fitter to do the job for u. from the sound of ur post ur just going to be wasting ur time trying to fit it. and nobody here will be able to help u to set it up because of the risk a thief well see. but any way a testlight is a wast of money and time. all it shows is if there is power or not. what u need is a good multi-meter +$15 and install instructions and wiring diagrams i dont think u will find any. but i still stand by my first statement. get a experienced alarm fitter.
  14. well i think we should rule out the battery ? do u have a multimeter? and or a battery tester? if battery tester test battery to see if u have enough CCA's if multimeter then its a bit tricky. ideally you would use the battery tester but if thats not an option then make sure the battery is fully charged. attach multimeter u should read about 12.7V and wile reading the multimeter try and start the car if voltage drops bellow 10V it might be a good idea to take it to ur local auto 1 to have it tested there. if the battery looks angry then replace and also check your alternator. all this is. is a multimeter attached to the car with it running and you should see between what 13.5V and 14.5V then turn on head lights. the voltage should drop for a second then come back up. also check for current draw. this is the multimeter attached in series to the battery with every thing hooked up but off, set multimeter to amp's setting. next is your air filter clean? if not clean it have u recently cleaned your AFM if not clean it. oil change try something with a lighter weight at cold temp setting the A/C to "cold" will help even if u leave the A/C off because this will make your coolant bypass the heater = faster warm up
  15. ^ i would like to know how to do this just in the event it happens to me. well the cop getting done for hooning makes me think he must have been doing something extremely stupid other wise they would have looked the other way. so i vote he should be raped by the hoon law and fired because dont u need a drivers license to be a cop. and what there probs going to put him on desk duty thats BS if i lost my license i wouldn't be able to attend tafe and get to RPH among other things so he should get fired.
  16. i have heard about ppl putting a compressor water separator between the plenum and the rocker cover to filter out oil on that side and a catch can set up (like above) to filter out oil vapor on the other side. maybe something to look into ? but the second set up look good just remove the ball bearing
  17. oil change every 5,000km filter change +10,000km copper spark plugs every 5,000 to 10,000 dont wast ur money with the platnem ones dont thrash it like a dick. timing belt every 100,000km
  18. i use ATF. i accidently spilt some on the engine one day and then forgot about it. a while after i renumbered and went to clean the ATF off and much to my surprise it cleaned all the crap off. love the mr sheen i will have to try that. and oven cleaner also looks the goods.
  19. have always wondered. could u just say u never got it. because its not sent registered mail so couldn't u just say well im sorry i would have payed i just didnt get the fine because apparently u can do the same thing for jury duty. i have never tried it i just get a doc to sign a form saying i cant attend. i wish i could do that with everything
  20. well its happen to most of us one time or another. remember the guy that said the head bolts were loose as. and he done them up with a screw driver. every body was WTF. so he explained what he did. he through the rocker cover bolts were the head bolts. and i have left a AFM unplugged and had know idea what was wrong. boy was my face red when i found out
  21. oops forgot about that. another good reason to not use dot 5
