  1. Got the 180SX fully stripped ready for transport to Race Bred Enterprises HQ, just got windscreen and rear quarter glass to be removed. Also waiting for our other R32 GTR shell to arrive, both car will be getting cut and shut and caged at the same time
  2. I want more than 1000hp but I only require 1000hp, would like to keep power to weight ratio at 1hp:1kg lol. Not a great deal difference in weight between a alloy V8 and The cast V8 either way it is just as light a RB26 4wd setup. I might start removing the engine out of my Fairlane this week.
  3. I got a tuff decision to use either a Ford 302 5.0L V8 Twin Turbo or LS1 5.7L Twin Turbo for the 180SX. I already have the 302 V8 out of my old Fairlane so it will cost me nothing, LS1 on the other hand i don't have and will cost me nearly 2K to get one. To be a cheap skate or not, both engines will get me the estimated 1000HP i require.
  4. Ah yeah looks pretty good mate
  5. Depending on my Job I will be at Jambo
  6. Sliver or White is a good choice, all the others -Bayside Blue yuck not a fan of it. -MNP in all 3 versions impossible to keep clean(been there done that will my R33 GTR) -Black is the same hard to keep clean -Millenium Jade, good luck getting that colour I do like it but, would be my pick just because its rare. -Yellow is shit also (been there done that also my 350Z).
  7. Hey Jordan i'll give you a message tomorrow. My brother managed to secure another R32 GTR shell for the next drag car project, $800 bargin, will pick it up in a few weeks I guess.
  8. It has been awhile since I've posted in here. Over the last 7 months I decided to sell everything off this car, the only thing left is the shell and rear subframe. I have always wanted to start another project car but most of my time has gone into either my new FJ Cruiser or the R32 Drag car, so I have had no time to anything else. But over the last few months have been working out a little list of possible combinations and setups. The best and most exciting combination which I think will be fun to drive and most probably will kill me is this. Engine: 5.7L LS1 V8 Twin Turbo, Dry Sump approx. power 1000-1200+HP Fuel: E85 Transmission: Tremec T56 6 Speed with PPG Dogbox and Ignition Cut System (same as my GTR Drag Car) Diff: 9 inch Suspension: Front - Standard Silvia Setup. Rear - 4 Link Setup Drag. Bodykit: Rocket Bunny/Ben Sopora Widebody Wheels: Work Miester S1 3 piece 18x14 or 15" Don't know yet. Brakes: Strange Engineering Carbon Brakes (Same as the GTR Drag Car). Chassis: 3/4 Tube Chassis with Carbon Fibre Rear Tubs and Floor/Tunnel, same as Prostock Drag Car Weight goal: 1100 - 1200 KG want power to weight to be 1:1 ratio. May get it dodgy rego for it and only take it to special events, main use will be powercruise's, car shows and drags. Should run low 8's high 7's. This is the cheapest engine and drivetrain package out of all the others I have come up with. Japanese Engines are good, but cost a shit load of money to get reliable mega horsepower, which I've had plenty of experience with the GTR Drag Car costing mega dollars to maintain and perfect. Still getting quotes and ideas, designing what can be done to a 180SX.
  9. Yeah Kingy got a quote for his 2.8L build seemed pretty good. Mark does the CNC ported heads now really good price on them. Our drag engine is in his shop as we speak getting a rebuild he had the head off it today and said it looked in tip top shape, pretty good for nearly 2.5years of hardcore racing.
  10. Ah nice just mention to Mark that you know me and kingy. He will look after you, he does great work and knows his RB's inside and out.
  11. Not sure what series blocks they are will have to look up the engine numbers, one is a N/A block and one is a Turbo block
  12. As far as I'm aware R32 GTR has clearance issues, R33 and R34 GTR are good not 100% sure but
  13. I'll get back to you on the injectors Scott, I got 2 RB30 Blocks with cranks and a R34 N1 Nur spec Long engine ( but Kingy has paid for it already but still in my shed taking up space).
  14. Got a better set of injectors sitting in the shed if anyone is planning on running over 500hp on E85. I got 6x 2000cc ID injectors have proven to make over 1000HP old drag car injector, or maybe I keep them for my next project.
  15. Nah Sean the car is out of action, getting some more work done to the engine. It should be ready for Brisbane Jamboree in September.
  16. Nah its not for me it's for Jordan, I won't be running a power FC ever again after using my Vipecs
  17. What's missing from this picture? Engine out on the stand. That colouring is just from the exhaust heat alone
  18. Just a normal FC Data logit Cal nothing special. Your is probably the same as mine.
  19. Yeah I got all the datalogger gear hear Jordan just got to come get it, as for drilling out No.3 &4 intake runners for the map sensor fittings, I got another idea for that, save you pulling the whole plenum off. I will do it how Kingy's old D Jetro setup was and use the 2 points at either end of the air equaliser rail. It worked fine on his car.I'll try catch up with you next week and show you.
  20. Ah I go to work tomorrow night but I will be attending Slamfest next weekend at Palmyra. The GTR will not be attending. The engine has currently been removed, the clutch was absolutely rooted, has been sent to NPC for rebuild and slight modification. Engine got all packaged up today and overnight freighted to Godzilla Motorsport for a B'day rebuild / freshen up. The block is getting grout filled solid so will be stronger, block is also getting O'ring treatment, head getting super-tech valvetrain for higher RPM, new Maran 5000cc fuel injectors for the Methanol Fuel, plus other this maybe. All in name of more power and torque will be up around 1400HP that should increase our top end MPH and get the low 8's.
  21. A good strut brace gives you an instant 10rwkw
  22. Hi All My engine in the R32 Drag car is getting another overhaul ready for Brisbane Jamboree in September. The block is getting grout filled so I will have no need for the water pump. I will be running a little electric water pump just for the head. Does anyone know where or if I can get a hold of a nice billet water pump blanking plate from, if not I will have to make my own and I don't really have time for. Cheers Benny
  23. Good old sockets make the best punches on the Hyd Press, keep up the good work.
  24. I got 3 Go - Pros if you need to borrow them for some awesome footage.
  25. Yeah seems strange with HKS Kai, you must have got a experiment 1st series batch or something. Haven't heard a great deal about the Hypergear turbo's, even in all the oversea's magazine's I get delivered every month haven't heard much about them, will be interesting to see only in action.
