  1. Lol yeah its a ridiculous idea, by the time I get all this sorted the R32 will be retired from Hardcore drag racing to make way for new and improved R32 drag car. A) Cheers B) There will be a thread C) Yes
  2. Yeah it was a good launch but the poor old mechanical speedo can't keep up, speed ended up doing over 260km/h
  3. Been Slack of late made a quick vid of the 8.39sec pass here it is, turn the speakers up and enjoy the sweet sound of RB goodness . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNLs_gONSQ8
  4. After seeing the results from last weekends WTAC it has got me super keen to start my project time attack machine. After some discussion with my lil bro and old boy, it is possible we may design a package to adapt to our drag R32 GTR to transform it into a time attack machine. This will keep the cost down considerably just have to build a long block engine, brakes, shocks and aero the rest of the car is well and truly up to the task. Time to start designing
  5. Big Congrats to Steve and the BC Automotive team, about time we got the GTR back on the podium. Very impressed with the result, I have finally decided to read your thread and I'm a few pages in and I'm liking what I see . I wish I could have made it to WTAC this year to have a look, and tow my GTR down for the Flying 500 but been so soon after Jambo didn't have time to get my shit sorted. What did your car end up weighing in at? mine is 1280KG no driver running very similar set-up to your car except I got half the interior still in it but I got 1200+hp ups its arse . Anyways congrats again keep up the good work looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.
  6. Hi all Haven't had a chance to update since Jamboree been busy working and what not. So we had a rollercoaster weekend at J23 this year, all things did not quite go to plan, but at the end of the day we still went quicker grabbing another PB/ World Record, still not finding the limit to this car it is amazing. We have managed to scalp some big name companies in this quest to become the worlds quickest and we are gonna try continue this domination by becoming the first 7 sec Radial GTR in the world and lay the Smack down to AMS R35 GTR plus anyone else who would like to join in on the action. Would be great to have all these cars in one country to compete with each other but this is not the case we are spread all across the world. Over the weekend we were finding it hard to get consistent runs due to the track conditions being unpredictable, plus the car was still being tuned every run by Mr Godzilla Mark Jacobsen, so the data was all over the show. We would have loved to get some more 8 sec passes but we could only manage 2 decant runs for the weekend. First of the bat Saturday morning we reeled of a 8.54 @ 159mph straight off the trailer and things were looking promising. 2nd run the power steering belt decided to go walk about and took out the hall sensor on crank trigger, had to tow car back to pits, new sensor and power steering was scraped and decided to run with out it for the rest of weekend. 3rd run we bogged the start as the track was too sticky and didn't have enough HP dialled in off the line to spin all 4's. Sunday morning straight up in round 1 of final we nailed it, peeled of a 8.39 @164mph, was not 100% clean run but still very happy with the result. 2nd round we got knocked out as we smoked the tires off the line, too many HP's and that was J23 over for us. Was a great result for us the Car survived with no breakages, got another record under the belt, now as far as I'm aware and correct me if I'm wrong but we are now the Worlds Fastest Radial Tyre RB GTR Skyline and the Worlds Fastest H Pattern GTR, the only car in front of us now is AMS R35 GTR which has done a 8.28sec on radials. Its a bit hard to compare the new VR38 Powered R35's against the old school RB Powered R32, 33 , 34's, but we are gonna try beat that time and do it with a manual gearbox, no gay arse dual clutch auto for us . A Big thanks to the Race Bred Enterprises team and Godzilla Motorsport's Mark Jacobsen with out your efforts this would not have been achievable. I am still going through the footage still gotta make a compilation Vids but here's some pics and a quick speedo vid.
  7. Cheers guys, It was a great result for the weekend of racing, got another world record under the belt and the car survived with no breakages. The car done 2 x 8secs passes for the weekend Sat done a 8.54 and Sun got a 8.39. Both runs were done in the morning, the track was very unpredictable losing and gaining grip through out the day making it hard for us to adapt the tune for the conditions. We couldn't piece together a perfect run as the car is quite capable of a 7.9 sec pass but we only had to go faster than 8.47 to get the world record. Still extremely happy with the 8.39sec @ 164mph with 1.30 sec 60ft. Next goal is to go for a 7's with the same setup and make it harder for the next pour bastard to break it. A big thanks to the RBE crew this week, The King brothers Matt and Andrew, Dave Sheehy and Mark Jacobsen for all the help couldn't have done it with out you's guys. + friends and family that cheered us on. Looking forward to next year. Will take a week to sort out video's and pictures, got some awesome footage to edit.
  8. Yeah Sean I had fun that day. Packing the FJ now for the long journey to Jambo. Gonna have to leave bright and early. It will be a slow trip towing the Caravan. Maybe Kingy and I could join the grey nomad society and sit on 80km/h and don't let anyone pass us
  9. Here's my R32 GTR N1 went from 700HP Street car to 1200+HP 8.5sec Drag Car.
  10. I was extremely bored today, so I was looking through all my old car photo albums, and stumbled across this classic picture. Back in the day when I was first year apprentice with all the Xstrata Boys, good times hey Kingy?
  11. Yeah it's new new straight from the factory , never been touched. Nice, shiney and clean. Is that still a MVR Gate with the watercooling?
  12. Nice Tial Gate Cal very cool setup . Mmmmmm Fresh Meat arrived this week in the form of Brand New RB26 Head, awaiting some serious CNC Porting.
  13. All the excitement is building up, not long now till Brisbane Jamboree. We are really looking forward to this years event, apparently there some other competitors coming to specifically to stop us from getting the next world record, I won't name names but I am looking forward to some good competition. The engine has just gone though another lot of upgrades and the chassis has had more weight taken out. Not a great deal of weight but every kilo counts. Engine HP has been increased a great deal and the clutch specially modified by Doug at NPC to give us more bite in the top end to get the MPH up. Our top end MPH is where we are losing ground need more grunt and the clutch was slipping up top costing us big time. If the gearbox can handle the punishment we are estimating a very low 8 sec pass and possibly a 7sec pass on the street radial tyres. This is what we are hoping for ....fingers crossed drag racing can be brutal. Would love to share the new upgrades list but with all these other fast GTR's coming out of the wood work getting closer to our time's, it's time to keep something's to ourselves .

  18. Just Committed myself to an RB26/30 engine build for possibly the 180SX . I Just purchased a brand spanking new Bare RB26 Head from the USA got it dirt cheap . All's I have to do now is hide it from my brother and old man before they claim it and it ends up on the Drag Car.
  19. Turbo Oil Feed Restrictor Nic ?
  20. For all the skyline owners in Mackay, this forum is pretty slack, maybe we need to organise a cruise or a BBQ/piss up get together again.... that was fun last time in Airlie, had so much fun I fell down a hill and f**ked myself up lol.
  21. September 21st and 22nd at Willowbank. Can't wait
  22. Just nominated the R32 into the Brisbane Jamboree, hope it is put back together in time. Who else here is going wouldn't mind some pit crew helping hands.
  23. Unless you are drag racing it constantly there Is no real need to go cement fill it. I am running a N1 block with custom 86mm CP Pistons to gain maximum bore thickness with stock girdle and the engine makes close to 900kw. It has had plenty thrashings still holding together quite nicely.
