I am thinking of fitting white dials to my dash in my r33. few questions for the guru's. I done it before on a vn. easy. pull needles off, attach dials and replace. i done it in a vlt. pain in the arse! once you pull the needle off, the mechanism floats around - the needle could go backwards. whereas the vn didnt. so, therfore i had to re-zero the speedo myself via trail and error. so the question, even with the needle bump stop in place. once the needle is taken off.... does the mechcanisim float? or is it anti backwards mechanisim? i hope someone out there understand what im talking about.

been searching this whole thread, so many opinions. r33 gtst. looking for 18 or 19" wheel. been looking at volks. whats a good offset that wont scrub? i dont want crazy look with a wheel halfway poking out. nice and flush-ish. but has to look faat. reccomendations?

i just drove from the far north qld to sunny coast covering a f**k loads of kms... i just parked the r33 up and noticed the front LHS suspension is much lower than the RHS. I am guessing it was from the rough drive covering a shitload of kms worth of potholes. Since im not a guru on suspension, whats broken or worn? and what should i look into for a replacement? i was planning to get tein super street coil overs or similar, but is there something else broken/worn that needs to be rectified or looked into?

i would of thought being a high flow, not a stock turbo wouldnt it require a tune? or a basic safc or the like to run its best?

granny smith apples or red delicious apples? whats yr budget? i have a greddy profec bspec2. goes aight. pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it. apexi ones are pretty though.

have the car sorted out now. the belt jumped 2teeth on the exhuast side. can hear the gates whine, but its very very unnoticable. though feels much better and smoother. cas is set to 15degrees. thanks for your help guys. apprieciate it. can always reply on sau for assistance.

thanks guys. so i guess ill have to speak to the mech 2moro and let him have a look at it. i seriously cant drive the vehicle. it stalls at lights, it cant idle. its running a hotter tempreture. stalls everywhere, lights, airco, driving along and pressed the clutch in, driving up a driveway. its very larthagic (*spelling)

yes! i just got home from driving it along the highway. very sluggish. its boosting, and u can felt it trying to go hard, but it feels very restricted.

quick question.... got a gates timing belt fitted today from my local mech... car now feels very very sluggish. i have heard noisey belts in the past, but never heard of a belt causing a vehicle to run like crap. should i look more into it, or will the car re-learn itself? before the belt change, the car was running like a dream.

hey, my car is exactly the same. i thought the vct kicked in at 5000rpm-ish as low end is lame. though... 1. i dont know what rb25det vct feels like. 2. i thought it was the lack of torque going from a rb30et to a rb25det so i ignored it so maybe, maybe my vct is not working as well. saying that when i got it dynoed while back i still was abled to pull off 180+rwkw and 400 or so nm of torque. will the vct affect the peak power/torque or just the curve of power delivery? any tips feel free to pm

hmm, do you guys reccommend oem belt or the gates belt? also where can i pick up the tensioner and pulley from? also is there any difference to r32/33/34 /rb20/25/26 series 1 and 2 etc?? looking to pick up these parts soon oh and part numbers too!

i had nos in my commodore back in the day. was a wet zex system. 75hp shot. didnt need to tune anything. but once u go higher you will need to retard some timing etc

yes! i always go a few clicks over. but is there more to that reason though? and pmr33, got a pic for ya...

usually after i fill a full tank of fuel in my car, i start it, then revs go up then drop dying off. to prevent this i usually peddle the revs for a few seconds to combat it then its fine (and wont die). it only does it if after a filling up with a full tank. so the question is why does it do that? other than that, the car runs fine.

hmm i get 12-13L per 100kms. on the highway i get 9.5-10L per 100kms.

geez guys how you getting so much km/s per tank? i usually get around 310km b4 filling up. atm i have 1mm above half a tank with 200km being driven so far. i have full 3"zorst, 10psi and atmo megasonic. and yes i am aware the atmo will make it eat more fuel, however it cant be that much?

i have a 3"magnaflow cat on mine. cheap. made the car lil bit more louder and revs quickely to hi rpm. however its just a tad. its just a cat, your not gonna get 3984723947329 extra kw from the swap.

mine does the same at very very very random times. like once every2-3weeks. not as loud, but dissappears once she it warmed up getting driven.

where did u get the dashmat in the first place? i have been searching autobarn etc and have had no luck for my r33. can u reply in a pm plz.

what you guys reckon about a bee r zorst? as i have one. how does the sound compare to the others?

i actually have a pod and wanted to change it... however i recently found out the snorkel doesnt fit due to the intercooler piping... has anyone found a way to use the stock box with the cooler pipes there? anyone make a custom snorkel?

u could try to make yr own from aluminium... i just started this arvo making a sheild (not the whole box) and the sheet of alum is 20bucks with half left over.

does the gtr plenum fit a gtst? never heard or seen it done. but if so, id be going that route or keeping the stocko one depending on cost vs bang for buck.
