Haltech Iq3 Display : A Worthwhile Upgrade ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
a R32 yes. -
Hey guys, I can't have acces to BNR34 seat because they are not allowed in my state. However, from picture, it appears the shoulder and lower curves more than R32 meaning it should hug more but then some peoples suggest that the R34 is wider so actually the r32 hug tighter ?? Thanks guys

thanks a lot for the picture! and srry for my late reply (y) !

Haltech Iq3 Display : A Worthwhile Upgrade ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I could be wrong... but fitting a MFD oem-style will cost me more than the IQ3 so in this instance, I might as well go IQ3. Rawbrokkeage is having a 10% sales so I thought i might just buy it now but then.. I spoke to my tuner and when he told me the cost involded to fit it I realised it was more than the cost of the IQ3 lol -
add fuel pump and audio amp and your in for at least 150.. so if you want a bit of space in case of.. then you need a 180 amp.. Actually I calculated I needed about 200amps. I bet my ignition and throlle will feel snappier once I install the new alt.

Haltech Iq3 Display : A Worthwhile Upgrade ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Well.. My actual setup consist of STRI oil press, PLX A/F, Stri fuel press. in the center console... then put stri oil/water temp in the glove box and I got my Aquamist water-meth gauge in the air vent driver pod. I agree with your point thought but I think 4 gauges can still be fitted clean. If I use the IQ3, I will only remove both water/oil temp gauge but will still keep the others. -
Actually, I'm speaking with a company in USA.. they produce 220amps ( https://www.dcpowerinc.com/high-output-alternators.html?make=Nissan&model=Quest) I sent them an email and they are currenctly beta-testing one for a RB in a 240sx. Should be available this winter once they done with testing and said I will be the first one to order one

Hello guys, A IQ3 dash is 800$ and installation of it is about 500$ + a box needed to convert the speed mechanical sensor to electric. so basicly we're looking at about 1400$ + the cost of a used R32 cluster so basicly almost 1500$ for a dash display. It does look cool, I admit, but not sure I'm willing to pay 1500 (which is the cost of my haltech ecu which will def. provide me an improvement) just for it to look cool. So could you please educate me as to how this upgrade will offer me an ''added value'' or it will purely be for the ''cool-factor''. Thanks This is my nismo cluster with upgraded T10 SMD 6000k led. it doesnt look too bad so unless I see a real benifit, I just think I will let it like that:

I need 2 coolant temp sensor and one IAT for the map sensor.. I'm unsure which one to get, can someone shed some light on my newb issue ? I thought oil block sensor and such were all m12x1.25 but none of these 2 are offered http://www.rawbrokerage.com/haltech-coolant-temperature-sensor/ and for the IAT, I guess I will have to ask my engine builder to make a hole for it: http://www.rawbrokerage.com/haltech-air-temperature-sensor/

cobrAA replied to Rolls's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain

Bolt-In Cage With Rear Seat For Bnr32 ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Truth is I don't like the ''becauseracecar'' look of a cage that restrict the back seat. And I know local police won't like it too. 2) Both my sister and father.. heck even my young brother don't drive so it happens from times to times we take the skyline and need the space behind. 3) I might just go with the do-luck room bar if I can't fit any cage/bar down there. Actually, tbh, I wanted a cage so I could fit my harness safety. Instead of bolting them on the floor which I was told are not safe to do. -
Nismo Transmission Mount ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Guess I have a very small penis and/or I understand my skyline only do 3000km ish a year and is purely made for performance and I take my mercedes when I am looking for confort. -
Could you give me your input on this 6262 compares to a -5 or -9 setup ? TBH, those numbers do look great on sheet, curious on the street whats your take compared to the ',std benchmark''. thanks!

Nismo Transmission Mount ?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks for the constructive replies. One thing tho.. I didn't knew you could buy SOLID mount ? I've been browsing rhdjapan and yahoo auction and never came across these. I think I will also install the solid cross-member while I'm here. Seriously, I have about 10-15 bushing to changes hoping to see an obvious difference next summer -
Hello, I want to make my car stiffer and remove the 24 yr old slack lol!! What's your thought on the nissmo transmission mount ? should I go with that or OEM NISSAN ? and is it a relative costly labour-wise job or quick to do ? It's for a BNR32 Thanks! P.S: Oh and we were wondering, could you replace the motor mount by lifting the motor a bit or you really need to remove the whole thing to swap these ?

[Closed] Borg Warner Efr Series Turbos
cobrAA replied to Lithium's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
^^ You really think a 3.5 inch exhaust would make the difference here ? So without the enmormous boost drop and on a dynapack, im pretty sure you would've of got to the 400kw mark and thats with a 7670 on rb25. Great result ! Just curious is there a reason why you start your run at 3800 ? instead of 2500 for say? -

cobrAA replied to Lithium's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
To be totally honest, I believe my setup could make more power but the -5s are beeing the bottleneck. HOWEVER, who really needs more power when speed limit are 100kmh and your already faster/as fast stock gtr/r8 ? Am I aiming a certain power range ? Not really... do we all want more ? of course. but if I could have the same power the -5s make with the spool my gt-ss had. I would be a happy man. Geoff's advice was that 7670 was too small on rb26.. hence why I named the 8374. I don't care about number. everytime you ''brag'' about a number. theres one guy who will bring the '' this X dyno is better than Y dyno'' ''your tuner didnt set his dyno properly'' yada yada. Let just say, Poncam B and -5s , get the idea. -

Since I only get about fullboost by 4000ish with my -5s setup, this mean the 8374 will actually be spooling quicker ? The more I read, the more I'm tempted to do it. It's just al these custom thing that need to be done to fit these on a rb26. I saw raw's manifold didn't require relocation of powersteering, wouldn't a 8374 fit on these manifold ? -
Hey guys, I'm looking at a dash display for a Haltech ecu, of course the Haltech IQ3 at 800$ come as an easy choice but just looking if theres other alternative before buying this one. the AIM look alot alike but its 350$ more. Motec appears to be a tad too expensive for my taste. Stack, too old school for me. Please help me, I'm new to this

Hey guys, I can,t seems to find much info about this module.. ( which led me to believe it,s useless), I'm beeing offered a HPI6 module for 100$ extra with the purchase of my haltech platinum pro. Do you reckon it would be a wise upgrade with the oem igniter ?? Thanks for your input, http://trsmotorsport.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=379&category_id=132&manufacturer_id=0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=26

Just Ran In My New Kaaz Diff
cobrAA replied to Shaun's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
A friend of mine is offering me his 2way kaaz for 600km in the pumpkin, he has receipt. said he drove about 500km. selling it for half price. Ideally, I would've of bought a 1.5way nismo gt, but... since i can get this good deal, I'm wondering is the clunk only noticeable when turning or its full time accel and deccel . does it even clunk on idle/cluch press ? I'm interesting in this mod since I'm doing a good load of bushing, bought sticky direzza Z2 tires, fullrace ets, so I'm looking at improving my tracking with this mod, but into drifting at all tho. drag and daily. thanks for your inpput and sorry if I offended someone by bumping this thread.. -
thank you

would this work with a haltech without the expensive 600$ blackbox? At this point, my car is well-moded.. I just want to make it run smoother/safer etc.
