Hey guys, I'm trying to find out if the ganador mirror are perfectly straight in a 90 degrees manner with the body or they are slightly angled upward ? I have a set of aero with led indicator ( that I dont use) but they are slightly angled upward and I think I would prefer something more ''straight'' thanks

Twin 3 Inch Exhaust !? Anyone Done It?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I couldn't agree more with your statement. but in some state/country ( maybe not the case in australia), cops will give you a ticket if your exhaust is straight throught or not. So by having this valve and a ''S'' BY-PASS VALVE of 1.5 inch, if you get pulled over, you simply close the valve, the cop can't accuse you of having a straight throught = no ticket. So with this argument, you could have a 2.5 inch exhaust still be straight pipe and have a ticket, you can understand why I'm looking at the varex system-type of mod. -

Twin 3 Inch Exhaust !? Anyone Done It?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
After reading this article http://www.modified.com/tech/modp-1102-exhaust-test-tech/ It seems like there could be a gain by going 3.5 inch. I already have the trust extension pipe which are 2x70mm. so to get perfect sizing, I should get myself a 4 inch cat-back to match the 2x70mm total exhaust diameter. However, my setup is a RB26 with stroked 87mm piston and -5 with cams and all the supportive mods you could expect.. My cat-back is 3 inch right now. So, going 3.5 is quite easy, theres tons of aftermarket BUT theres very few 4 inch catback.. Whats your thought, anyone saw gain from 3.5 to 4 inch ? Should I really concentrate on having both the downpipe and catback ''flow-matched'' or simply stick in a 3.5 instead of my 3 inch and call it a day ? P.S: I'm also keen about a 3.5 or 4 inch group buy in stainless steel! -

Hey guys, I bought a 1.5way ATS metal rear diff. Now, I'm thinking should I buy a front diff lsd as well ? Car is mostly street-driven but expect to make about 30-50 launch a year and maybe 5 track event ( never went lapping yet, so I'm a newb) I searched and couldn't find much information really. Not enought to make a concensus, at least. What I found from GTR.UK is the front lsd is somewhat a bad idea and difference should be very marginal and very bad if used on the street. ( but this is mostly regarding 1.5way). Here, only few peoples have spoken and most said, they were good when matched with other drivetrains mods. other only said quaife was better but not why or anything else.. So please tell me, what if I buy a cusco LSD and set it to 1way instead of 1.5way. would I see a gain or really 90%of the difference is located at the rear wheels ( and it has already been taken care) ? and how would my street driving be affected ? I live in downtown and can be stuck in traffic from times to times so I always try to make it as street friendly as possible. Thanks a lot!

Bnr32 Diff, Can I Use Any R200 Diff?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well I sourced a ATS standard metal 1.5way for bnr32. Guess I will go for it. 400$ cheaper than retail. -
Hey guys, I know the S15 diff works on the BNR32 rear diff but I then read some auction stating that I could also use any R200 nissan diff ? other says any Silvia, 13-15. Just trying to source a rear lsd 1.5 way and with auction and such, sometimes, under S15 diff could yeild better result than simply bnr32 lsd, for exemple. thanks!

Twin 3 Inch Exhaust !? Anyone Done It?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thanks guys for the input! didn't know they were 72mm. why I wanted to run twin 3 inch was in order to fit the 3'inch ultra-quiet resonator ( they do a great job, I have one right now) and then it could merge into a 4inch exhaust. I still need to fin a dump pipe bigger than the r34 oem right now. -
I'm thinking about custom exhaust. Actual setup: R34 dump pipe ( 58mm), RS*R downpipe (2x70mm to 85mm), ultra quiet resonator (76mm), 76mm straight muffler and finally a varex 76mm exhaust. I plan to go with : Tomei 76mm dump pipe, custom downpipe 2x 76mm extra long with a 76mm resonator welded then it would merge into a 100mm muffler and finally another muffler at the end. However, do you think its possible to fit this under the R32 GTR? Anyone have done it before?

Alternative To Varex Or Dynomax Vt Exhaust?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I actually found a fe ways to do it, will draw it and post it when I have times. -
Well I was running twin blitz vented. then forged my engine and had lots of stalling issues, turn out one of my blitz was jammed so I took it off and put a OEM instead. so I'm running both. However, my tuner didn't told me anything about beeing more eaiser to tune or not. My car can still stall but maybe 1 times out of 10 during braking instead of 8 times out of 10. So I mean, if it's possible to tune the car vented or not with the same result. and no one can prove that recirculate will yeild a 200rpm increase in response and I dont know... 10whp more. And your car doesnt stall on every corner. Why so much peoples sh*t bricks on ppl running vented !? I can't recall anyone showing a bck to back dyno proving vented is worse.
-
Has anyone ever done back to back test on dyno to prove that stocker are better than vented?
-
I'm reading about a/c for about a hour now.. no one mentionned my problem ; Fan will only blow air at fan 4. nothing at 1,2,3. Have a clue what this could be?

Alternative To Varex Or Dynomax Vt Exhaust?
cobrAA replied to cobrAA's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I don'T like this option because on open position, it will sound SO LOUD, I will be shy to drive my car lol. This is an interesting idea that I never thought of. However there's still a problem; it will be straight pipe at all time. I believe this kind of restriction is a lot more than a simple flapper like the Varex. I will explain a bit more the problem I'm facing. Our polices judge illegal exhaust on sound but also on STRAIGHT PIPING (stupid, I agree and bad for forced car who need less possible backpressure possible). So this is what I really like about varex, it's straight pipe once you open the valve and closed, it goes throught a ''S Type route'' and its no more straight pipe. With the image below, it would obviously cut sound but also still be straight through if a police check with his flashlight.
