  1. thanks for the info. Looking forward to make the switch from gt-ss to these.
  2. I had bad luck in the past with cheap/unknown/no-name rotors. So my idea was to maintain the DBA 4000 or go Brembo plain but to do that, I have to choose a OEM caliper. You think I can fit some brembo plain with this 356mm kit? Also, I read mixed review on Sau about the D2 kit.
  3. For sure, totally agree haha! If it was the case, tuning would be easy LOL
  4. That's what I thought but then why that much of a HP rated difference? silly garrett or underrated HKS haha..
  5. I thought these turbos were very smiliar, based on the same trim. However, I was going to pull the trigger on GT2530 and then my friend came to me and said that the -5 is actually rated at 360hp while the gt2530 is only 320hp. can you please shed some light on these 2 ratings?
  6. I'm in Canada. Like I said, he would sell me the WHOLE KIT so I don,t need to modify anything but I think you guys are right. if anything broke, I might just source a R33 transmission ( if the LSD is compatible/already bought/fitted on my car).
  7. good news then. When I broke my tranny it was because of the reverse spring'' yup a little 20$ spring broke and I couldn,t put the car in reverse. 2000$ was considering I buy them used! BTW, I did a run at 127mph with gt-ss last week-end. But I'm seriously considering swapping these for gt2530, would like a bit more top-end.
  8. Hello guys, I know a guy who is selling is BNR34 getrag tranny fitted on his R32 already ( so I would have anything needed to make it fit in mine) and this got me curious. He's asking 5000$. Right now I have a rebuilt R32 transmission ( input shaft, synchro and everything else checked and was fine). I was going to buy LSD diff 1.5 for my car ( which would run me for about 2000$ for both). Should I keep that extra 3000 and wait till my tranny break and fit a os gear set inside etc. etc. or... would it be wiser to get my friend's setup with the getrag and R34 diff yada yada.Over here, we don't have R34, so we don't know much about how tought these tranny are so basicly I'm wondering if a uprated R32 transmission would be better than a stock getrag setup? Cheers for the info!
  9. dude can you write like any normal person ? a point is not a shift lol
  10. ^^ Make sens! Great reseach by the way.
  11. May I slightly go off-topic ? I have GT-SS, pushing at 21psi, making 520whp on a dynapack.. My friend with same poncam type b but has expreme manifold, dump and nice intercooler and -5 make about 570whp at 21 psi on the same dynapack. I have the opportunity to swap my GT-SS for GT2530 for free. I'm adding water-meth and timing tuning to the car next week and expect to be able to push 25psi safely, but i'm scared I will start/or be in the non-effience zone of the GT-SS while the GT2530 might still be effience at this boost level. So, I'm wondering, would the gt2530 make me faster on the drag sttrip or it will make me ''think'' I'm faster because of how hard they hit vs. the smoother powerband of the gt-ss ? 2- Could the lag of the gt2530 be slightly dialed with cam tuning ? I love my gt-ss but i'm trying to figure out if the extra 50 ( or better.. maybe 75whp) is worth the extra ''lag'' I will be getting. oh and something I didn't know, changing both diff could improve my traction ( meaning less power loss = more power) over oem diff? I tought the oem diff were high-quality.
  12. thanks for the info. right now I have dba 4000 allaround and brembo r33.
  13. Have you guys tried these ? they seems like a great option, beside the bracket that need to be fitted. I prefer to get OEM caliper than aftermarket because, IMO, it will be pricier, harder to find rotor/pad for the application. I heard anything that fit on a 300zx can be fitted on a skyline right? So maybe I should dig up 300zx's forum and see what kind of big brake kit they use. thanks!
  14. thanks for the info guys, I will look for a gtr specific!
  15. My friend have a Nismo LSD on his gts and I'm wondering if it would fit on my BNR32 ? By looking on nismo's website, the only difference is the A or B letter at the end of the part number. by looking at rhdjapan, most, if not all LSD for bnr32, in the application list, include the hcr32. so are they compatible? would I be better with a rebuilt kit for my gtr instead as I heard they are quite tough?
  16. os giken told me that theres should be no difference between ts2b and ts3b except for more sound beacause mor eplate rubbing together.
  17. It is at 17psi but at 22psi, its not. It drop by about 1.5 psi at 7k rpm. thanks the hks are rated at 11psi.
  18. Anymore review on these actuator, I need a pair to replace the one on my HKS GT-SS. I'm boosting over 22psi and have some issues ( boost is not stable)
  19. Jing R34 GTR Tokyo Auto Salon 2010 Vehicle Reference Jing Techno Engineering Website http://blog.nengun.c...26-tuning-world The Jing R34 GTR has been slightly modified with Tomei and Reimax internals and two low mount HKS GT-SS turbo's. Generating 1.3kg/cm2 of boost and producing 467ps this GTR has been perfectly tuned for the street. Volk Racing CE28N wheels cover Brembo Monoblock brakes and Ohlins DFV suspension. The concept from Jing was to retain the standard engine and easy maintenance and combine it with improved power, torque and appearance. While mildly modified, this R34 looked great. at 18psi he managed to make 467hp but he doesnt talk about any cam and cam gear tuning etc etc. just a standard RB26, nothing else. Add bolt-on power adder and he could easily break the 500hp marks. Okay I'm seriously done here. do your own research, I did 3 years ago, and I'm 100% happy that I went with gt-ss instead of -5 or -7
  20. Already did. Last intervention in this thread. I'm just trying to help out the folk considering buying the GT-SS and all I get is whining and '' your a liar'' i don't believe you'' . Well, unless you pay the plane to ship my car and me to australia, unfertunately, you will never see me rollin on your drag strip. Look at some japanese setup, they can achieve 600whp with gt-ss.
  21. r32 gtr. I thought all GTR had the same pump/size no?
  22. seriously? I was at the tuner yesterday for 5 hours.. sure it must be a dream loll I just do not brag about my setup on the internet like some of you. I have nothing to prove and couldn't careless if you don't believe me. but for the people really interesting ( because, yes I actually got 3 pms regarding this) about the -9, yes its possible ot achieve great number. and here, we do not run E85 we run 94.
  23. I'm maxing my Denso supra pump and was thinking about the new 416lhp walbro pump, is this pump drop-in/fit with little modification just like th e denso supra did? thanks for your info!
  24. true, I'm not in australia. what up there? your gas is sh*t ?
