well sometimes never say never... but its hard to determin without being there however, unless your telling us something has shattered? a friend of mine had a Pulsar SSS with T4 turbo without an air box and whilst driving a rock got sucked in and shattered the wheel..... but you will notice if it was that?!

yeah but its kinda different from memory the GT-R R35 costs around around 70,000 or something and the Zr1 costs double that... its the ULTIMATE corvette if you think about it. the GT-R that ran the Nurburgring was the base model.... nissan havent bought out the big guns yet... in the near future spec-V will attend the ring... and god knows what else they have up thier sleeves.. in a way the ZR1 is practically a muscle car but nearly an exotic...

well thats the local domestic one... the import used one is around 150k? i wonder whats gonna happen with the SEVS rule for this... since they are selling them domesticly, importing the same vehicle is usually prohibited to protect the countrys economy. hmmmm need answers from the importers here yeah i never quite understood whomevers riches... a few mates have rumoured to me that there is some sort of "car club" out there which you pay like 30,000$ a year and you get to drive various different exotics and swap them around with other members etc. (which they seem to refuse to beleive he or she owns them ALL) unless he really does own them all? hmmm

its hard to even determin via video but still, that is a good effort i must admit. the sound does sound very constant try listening to all pulleys first. to do that, get a long screwdriver or a long solid metal rod of some sort. place it on the Bolt in the centre holding the pulleys onto... the pumps and crankshaft pulley... put your ear against it and hear if there is any excess vibrations. sometimes on older skylines, the bearings could be buggered. try this first and let us know... then we move on the next possibilities....

i dont think its a big deal now... theres actually a few out already. $150,000 isnt insanely unreasonable for a motor vehicle... if you think about it, there are a fair few cars on the road that actually cost the same as that or even more... every SL500 or SL55s cost nearly double that... i saw an R35 GT-R at Nth Sydney's "DEMiR Furniture" with his custom plates. a shop that always has a black Lamborghini Gallardo a yellow Lamborghini Murcelago, Porsche GT3, Ferrari Modena, BMW M3... its really no big deal for 150,000$ I know i wont be affording a car at taht price in this life time thats for sure.

gee that sounds awsome! if there is no loss of power i dont think theres anything wrong, it may be what you were saying in the first place, the design of the turbine & size. ive heard T88 & T78 supras and GT-Rs and they do sound different to stock. id love that sound....that doesnt sound like no shitty non turbo 4cyl dude.... im guessing it sounds a bit better in real life? the "droning" sound...are you describing it as the low pitch gurgle? if so, thats just the nature of the turbocharger. if you really care about sound, something you might wana look at in the long run would be aftermarket cams... they play a big role in a cars exhaust note.

well if it were me i wouldnt care too much about the sound depends on how your car really sounds like...... it probably doesnt sound bad at all but your just not used to it? yeah highly modified cars can sound very different this 7 sec supra for e.g... ive noticed anything over the 1000hp range they start to sound like a Tractor rather than a car... listen to this supras idle..

well because they are slotted discs doesnt mean they wont or cant warp even if it doesnt rub against the calliper... uneven spinning balance for the disc under high speeds causes wobble just like tires anyhow lets eliminate the tyres first

good idea.. get someone to drive it past whilst you record it & place the camera 2M away from the car whilst your car is stationary and rev it a bit. yeah well the supra i mentioned before, i got tested between 130 - 140db..and i had never gotten busted for the 3 years ive owned it. looking forward to seeing your video

ok since your alignment has been done the 2 most common problems that cause this symptoms are the Tires are out of balance, obviously the front. (to test this....jack your car up......... rotate front wheels to the rear and viceversa) if it stops...then just take it to a tyre shop and get a tyre balance done. and another culprit could be a warped brake rotor... this happens usually with people whom wash thier cars after driving, hosing the hot rotors with cold water. the logic of this, is that when it is warped...it is uneven... causing the rotor to rub on the brake caliper/pads.... causing an annoying vibration on your steering. anyhow....... 1.) rotate the wheels 2.) while its off, inspect the rotor to see if its warped.

firstly, did you check the Fluid in the powersteering resevoir? and the drive belt tension as well. thats odd that a sound is coming from the turbo..i find it hard to beleive.... the powersteering pump is actually next to the turbo in front.... does it tick when you turn the steering when its stationary? you might of got confused? anyhow.....check and let us know.... (sometimes when the powersteering fluid is low....or gone....yes it can tick.)

well the RB25DET doesnt actually EXACTLY sound like an RB26DET.. The GT-R has a higher pitch of a raspy inline 6 howl... well seems like your probably stuck with it what area you in? if it were me, id sleep better if i just take it to someone reputable that knows thier turbos and GT-Rs.. and just ask for his opinion.

are you for real?! that supra sounds good man... could you post any videos up on it and give us a listen? if i were you, id get a friend drive the car past you whilst you stand on the street. you'd be suprised how much different and MOST times...better the car sounds from outside.... (i wonder what the carolla & civic owners feel inside?...when the car sounds shit outside already) here is a GT-R R33 with GT35R have a listen..... in the camera the sound sounds slightly off as well. in this video...there is a slight low rumble ....but like i said, it could be the camera

mines stock turbos with aftermarket exhaust. i wish i had your turbo though....cause if i did.....i wouldnt be complaining about the civic sound lol so is there any power loss with this shitty sound? here is a supra with the single .. does it sound anything like that? did the installer or you install a anti-surge housing?

nah wasnt me, i just got mine fnot long now a Bayside one. i Wish i lived up that way... nice and peaceful but i sometimes see a nice R32 GT-R with a custom paint light purple driving northbound up this road from Miranda or something. yeah i thought so, the background in the pic looks familliar... i always notice that fruit shop

hang on, leme get this straight... so the OLD exhaust you have....is what brand?... that is when you had the previous turbo... but with this new one you pulled off...what brand was that? so when you had old turbos...this old exhaust was good... but as soon as you converted the turbos you decided to put a new set of pipes and exhaust. and you suspect the turbo because it made BOTH exhaust sound shit? (try and name the brands, it makes it easier in the conversation here) well somethings not right dude.. ive never experienced an awful sound after a turbo upgrade. it ususally gives it a low note purr. can you take a picture of the exhaust set up? my suggestion is to see if anyone has a second hand muffler etc and play around with it. because if your just gonna rock up an exhaust mob and ask them....at the end of the day, they are there to make money out of you... they cant guarrantee you the sound they want. I previously had the TT supra with stock turbos, and i had a custom exhaust made up by various exhaust shops.. from liverpool exhaust, to HI-tech mufflers all the way to small backyard mobs.... just to get the sound i wanted. usually Blitz or HKS exhaust sound good on Skylines, but thats an expensive path & you want to single out that it isnt the turbos fault.

hmm thats odd... i know what you mean by drony sound.... the vibrating shitty, farty, 4 cyl non-turbo sound... like civics, lancers etc. what brand muffler do you have?, usually cannons sound good on a 6cyl.....even 6cyl non-turbos sound decent. i dont think its the resonators...... ive heard non-turbo GTS R33 with removed resonators... it sounds a touch farty while its cold but when it warms up... its gone.
