eeiko321 replied to blitz r33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)

Air Tire Pressure For R33 Gts25t
eeiko321 replied to OH RB's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
32psi is actually a mechanics tale.. its a "one size fits all" kinda beleif... alof tires require more and some less... always look at the side of the door..... where the latch is... for stock tires and rims, that should be the exact size of tyre and pressure. -
Stock R33 Gts-t Vs Stock Evo 6
eeiko321 replied to blitz r33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
yes its not Tiptronic but what you missed out was... its a ..."dual clutch ...Semi-automatic....transmission". -

well the thing is..they are human...obviously the copper didnt know it was illegal or didnt see it. some of them are hopeless. so that was your lucky day champ! i recall being pulled over in my Supra TT in 2003 and when the copper was issuing me a ticket he asked the other cop "what kinda car is this?!" the other cop looked slightly embarrased and answered in a sheepish way .."ehhh...toyota....supra...." he practically made cops look pretty bad that moment.

well the torque is different.... and Torque makes a big difference in a cars speed & acceleration. Not really... The RB25DET actually uses the LARGEST Japanese OEM turbos you could buy. It is a T3 style turbocharger...If you measure it, it is actually somewhat...bigger/larger than that of T28 Turbochargers in the RB26DETT. yes the GT-T can be tuned to exceed stock GT-Rs power. the biggest advantage of the GT-T over the GT-R is being 150kg lighter. But in the overal perfomance package on track, the GT-R is hard to match.

ok... just trying to understand things a bit more.... its really hard to say without seeing your vehicle... but from the sounds of things, id definately piss the mechanic off. shoulda pulled the plug from his first f**k up. take it to someone more reputable and knows what they are doing. im sure people can give you pointers as to where depending on your location. have you, or ANY of these mechanics checked all Throttle valves,AAC valves, vaccume hoses, Air flow meters, O2 sensors etc???? mind you, you have an old car you'd be suprised on whats run down or dirty or may need replacing. check these things first before you come to conclusion for your ECU. yes an ECU is like the Brain of the engine, if faulty...it will affect your cars peformance big time. Generally speaking, the devices ive mentioned usually go...before the ECU. MOSTLY ive seen ECU's f**k up on cars in the mid 80's era.... see how you go... i would check the ignition leads resistance also whilst your at it. its about elimination

no, the NEO RB25DET for R34 was also 206kw but lower Torque power than GT-R & if you put them both in either Straight line or track...the GTR would smash it well thats probably highly unlikely because 206kw is what they call "Gentlemen's agreement", restricting it to 206kw... same as the EVO and STIs at the same time. (and mind you they are only 4 cylinders creating that much power) The supra TT was tested on the Dyno in stock form... from memory it was advertised as 206kw but on paper showed up at around 238KW - 240kw. so i dont think the R34 GT-T would put out more power than the supra.
-
yes tow bars on R33 has been done before.
-
it does but... is a defect and illegal on NSW roads
-
well if you think about it... just like those BMWs, WRX etc.. with really shinny rims and a "fully hectic" decked out bright leather interior bro..... thats the MOST disgusting look on cars.... practically ugly auto-salon cars
-
getting rid of those "wog job" rims was the best thing you ever did lol

Spark Plugs-average Or Platinum?
eeiko321 replied to blitz r33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
well the one thats more expensive and better than Platinum plugs are the Iridium tip ones... supposedly from the manufacture...The result are spark plugs that require less voltage to spark, burns fuel more efficiently, sparks at leaner air/fuel mixtures, and delivers higher horsepower and better gas mileage. you would say all that too if you were trying to make money out of spark plugs wouldnt you? NGK has released a new one called IRIDIUM IX...evoloution spark plug.... finest spark plugs in the world apparently... but at the end of the day, some people just want to go all out on thier car... best oil, best fuel, best plugs, best brake fluid etc... it may not be all that necessary. i wouldnt really bother that much, i usually rid them every 40,000km anyway -
thats because good/serious people answered!

Cheaper Gearbox Alternatives For R34 Gtt
eeiko321 replied to R-SPEC's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Di...05#entry2606505 have a read through here, it may cover some interesting facts for your project -
yes i know were talking about GT R34 Vs GTS-T R32. my point is, you must admit...thats a big hike in age difference there. performance wise, yes the Turbo would have alot more potential and pleasure to drive.
-
apparently using import services to purchase at the auction isnt the best option due to the australian dollar... probably buying one here would be better. if i were you, id wait till you get the full liscence then buy the turbo version or a TT supra. the sad thing is, most upgrades on mods are illegal.. even turbo timers. You could really get defected for anything or you could just be lucky.
-
it really depends.... the Turbo would be alot more fun to drive... the non-turbo will get boring after a while. but then again, R34 is alot more modern and newer.
-
yes they are kinda rare ive noticed i think they might be the same...... if i were you id contact this guy... hes selling his GTS-t one for 10$ if you clean it up.....its a bargain.... because ive seen aluminium ones for $180 US
-
so all you did was change plugs? check the ignition leads also, sometimes tugging it can damage it and in turn lose resistance. generally it doesnt do much hard but did you check the spark plug gap before putting them in? and before you changed tthe plugs it was working ok?
-
it looks like its in good nick if it stays at that price it can be a good buy be wary of auctions... people tend to go into a bidding frenzy to save every dollar and end up forgetting how much its really worth & by the time its finished...several dollars more could even get you a new one....

didnt you post the same thread about a month ago???

why did he change the tripple plate HKS to the Os Giken? hes got that much money to blow does he? lol yes ive experienced a twin plate Hks clutch before... it was VERY easy to stall. But then again, at least it felt ALOT better than a car with a WORN clutch!!!!!! (ive driven a shocking example, with hand brake UP...then engage...the 5th gear was just turning/slipping)
