Are Imports Such As Skyline/supra's Unreliable?
eeiko321 replied to Fat-magz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
you should be the fag owning a Barina. here we go again..... and WHY.....is it a STUPID comparison between GTS-R and WRX?! it was either wheels or motor... so why dont you just write a letter to them expressing your feelings ........ that they "should Realise that they were wrong" for comparing the 2 cars. the only thing that is stupid was you, being a mistake at birth.. -

for your information there is a camry forum http://www.camryforums.com/forum/ why is it dull as a dishwasher when its a reliable family car?! then why not tell toyota to cease production of the camry because some bogan in aust thinks it "boring/dull" because its not a sports car. wrong? this is a public forum....everyone is entitled to their own thoughts and views spastic... -

my friend....what a way for someone to talk such amount of BULLSHIT trash.... and dont start dissing toyota when you havent owned one. reliable or not?! wtf do you mean?!......well thats a major role in a motor vehicle... a role that alot of car models that cant offer. There is nothing wrong with a camry!, its designed for its purpose.. and it has lived up for its purpose ...a f**king FAMILY CAR that gets you from A - B which is ROomy and reliable......just because its not a sports car doesnt mean it should be bagged out.will outlast any bullshit aussie car that you favour. (the statesman caprice, what an excuse of a car that looks like a beached land whale. & the Barina...they had to get rid of the Barina-Girl moto just to rid it of the PANZY image of the car to try and boost males to buy it) people like you shouldnt deserve to drive imports and should stick to your bogany-cars -
Skyline For P-plates?
eeiko321 replied to skylinesthelimit's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i would suggest buying a shit box for now...save up and buy something turbo when you are allowed. Otherwise you may buy a car that you will quickly be dissapointed in. The non-turbo will then easily become too slow & you will be dissapointed when you see turbo skylines driving around. yes the laws are really strict now days, and if you havent been reading the forum...ALOT of posts is "Cops have got me" "EPA got me" ..."defected by cops" "what do i do before seeing EPA" etc etc so it seems like cops are really cracking down on this so if you can wait... save for a turbo car. you may even be able to buy a GT-R in that time. but if you really cant wait, then buy a non turbo skyline. (but mind you the non-turbo supra is a much better car than the N/a Skylines) at the end of the day, you may as well buy a shit box and learn how to drive first. not to jinx you but alot of people need to experience prangs etc to gain experience of what can happen on the roads. -
lol it sounds like your just suffering from Separation Anxiety . thats strange, ive seen at carsales a large number of R34 GT-Rs for sale....MOSTLY V-spec 1...which are around $48,000 - 55,000$ then how much did you sell it for, if you dont mind us asking? and why?

The VT HSV clubbys were pretty hopeless too yeah they have improved recent years but even till this day... the VE the reliablility is still............ questionable... unlike Nissans..and especially toyotas whom were always well known for reliablility oh and not to mention.... do you remember the HSV GTS-R? (pictured below) (yes this big hunk of junk, i think it was a VN ) This was featured in Wheels magazine many years ago... it was compared with cars at the same era...which was The Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 4 & a Standard Subaru Imprezza WRX (non-STI) both 4cyls ABSOLOUTELY annihilated the f**k outa this big brute.... it really put it to shame with the figures... The evo was the runner up but even the WRX..SMASHED IT..... i read the article years ago and i will never forget it. as i said, holdens were way behind in the technology before -
yes..dont get me wrong...170,000$ is shit loads alot of money to me as well you could buy studio apartments for that price. but what i mean is... there are ALOT of people that could afford that in AUST.. what i meant was.. how many 2009 Aston martins have you seen? they the average price for them cars are 297,000$ - 497,000$ how many 2009 BMW m5s have you seen? they are rrp $241,000 for base model m3s are 162,000$ for base model i see suprising amount of Cl500 Mercs... they are $320,000 you always see porsches driving around...some of the 911s are around 240,000$ the other day i saw a Gran Turismo - Maserati 2009' in blacktown thats 302,000$ rrp. some people just simply have money.... looking at the R35 GT-R & its price tag... to a majority of us, it screams "Dream on".. but to some people, its not a dream. Peanuts? well nothings peanuts dude... but for Demir. the 170,000$ for the R35 could be 1,700$ in comparison/ratio to your wallet or even less? or even 170$ to him... so if the car was worth 1,700$ in comparison to you...would you buy that car? (If Bill gates saw the 170,000$ price tag, its 17cents to his wallet )

thats cause the rims look shitty...(to me it is anyways) part of the GLORY of the R34 GT-R comes from its rims.... i would refuse to buy a GT-R if it didnt come with the stock wheels.. its what makes the car genuine -
no its not google its about the weatherman since when are they ever right, anyways?
-
huh?! didnt someone post the exact same question couple of days ago?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!? anyhow, series 1 R32 GTS-t + GT-R uses a H3c bulb series 2 R32 GTS-t + GT-R uses a H1 bulb yes H4 is wrong also note: the H3 and H3C has a slight differ around the connection ... takes a bit of stuffing around to install it so just stick with the exact H3c

so your telling me your gonna change the Timing belt (without any idea or planning/scedule) every 20,000km ....replace just to be safe then sorry? it all depends... sometimes rubbers can last longer than others, depending on the ingredients made. but average recommendations are usually 100,000km. so if your car hasnt had it done before, its most likely due. Timing chains usually last a fair bit longer

well if corvette doesnt have a winge... then definately muscle fans WILL!!! i can guarantee this...especially in USA. (they really are, against japanese imports)

Can You Spot What's Wrong
eeiko321 replied to TheCrystalMethod's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
yeah well that should deter anyone..... what a joke is that a -
shit your right, its creeping up to the corvette ZR1 but still, you missed the point..... apparently the Spec v is only 5hp more than the base model but putting it on the track there is a huge difference. not only the weight reduction but the braking as well.... i recall the article stated the Brakes on the Spec-v costed 50,000$ for replacement.... but they are designed to rarely wear out. i read that in an article on this sites r35 forum. if it is...then it really should shave some more time.... and this time instead of porsche crying.. corvette might have a winge and why is Pagani zonda in there twice... they should scrap the Pagani lower times and keep the record times by that EVO Magazine
-
i recon several of us should chip in.... that way its not hefty and then share the exotics around between us lol
-
yeah but was the spec -v times official? from memory it wasnt well what i meant was, its still early... u never know, might be Nismo factory specials....or R-tune and Z-tune of the R35 to come in the near future... then it will teach the Zr1 some manners

90,000$ aye! hefty! but that gold is an awsome colour.... definate eye candy -
yes the do cost a fortune to convert...... apparently to convert the rear end could be worth 3 - 4,000$ your better off getting just LED tail lights
-
yeah i had a look..... the GT-R is not available yet and is coming soon... so i guess hes got to own that one...... yeah, tell me about it.... he doesnt have to live like a scum, thats for sure... i knew that... the EVO 7 and 8 were prohibited but because the car was discontinued, you can purchase it through importeres so the R35 is coming to aust soon the imports wont be able to really sell them as they are doing now.
-
yeah i listen to it all the way the video sound is very muffled but i personally dont think theres anything wrong i take it that your just getting used to it, aftermarket turbos do make a change to the note yeh would be nice if you could set up a video outside.....whilst driving... set it on a Kerb outside and drive past it on the opposite side of the road. awsome!

Are Imports Such As Skyline/supra's Unreliable?
eeiko321 replied to Fat-magz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i personally think that car is horribly tuned.... holden was way behind in technology back then. theyve improved a fair bit now days in 1994 or 1994 the HSV senator was running around 187KW... at the same year there were GT-R and supras 216 - 230kw with a TT 6cyl...
