  1. x2 RBR again with the shitty pit strategy. There was nothing to lose with pitting him when he had +10 secs on Hamilton.
  2. Nice work Capt'n Chin, a good quali time (and another needle in SV). Big night tonite, Formula1 + GER vs AUS marathon. I can't wait to see how the tyre battle works out in the first 5-10 laps.
  3. Who is making 300rwkw @ 17psi? Most seem to be around the 270-280rwkw mark from what I have seen.
  4. Are they really known to be inaccurate or just hard to read accurately due to being measured in mm Hg and not well graduated?
  5. I realise that practice is smoke and mirrors but someone at the track reckons SV was pushing pretty hard. If you believe the post practice comments, LH seemed a bit disappointed in their pace in a straight line. The McLarens should be front of the grid based on last weeks performance but the changeable weather will make it a lottery.
  6. The ol' ear nibble and reach around seems to have worked on SV, he seems pretty motivated this weekend. I hear he was pushing the car pretty hard in P1 and P2 and topping the times in P2. The LH and JB don't appear to be as quick as expected at this point and this track should really suit them.
  7. It is pretty obvious the "206kw" figure was at best a gentlemans agreement. The R34GT-t comes with a sidemount intercooler, if you have time to do a little research, let me know what the quoted factory output is? The GTR FMIC was fitted for several reasons including motor racing homologation. It wasn't required for factory quoted outputs.
  8. No, they felt the urge for much higher levels of power.
  9. I disagree that it will cost you less. Find a motivated seller with a lightly modified car and you will be better off than buying one and spending the coin. I can guarantee that. We have spent a reasonable amount of money on both my nissans. On the Stagea the mods include HKS GT-RS turbo, PowerFC, FMIC, 3" exhaust, panel airfilter, fuel pump, tuning, clutch, coil packs, electronic boost controller, alarm, tinting front windows, Bilstein shocks, adjustable radius rods, adjustable rear camber arms, 100,000km service and a bunch of other small things. If we were to sell the car there is no chance of recouping costs from the first day after it rolled out of the workshop. I would look interstate as well due to the low cost of airfares you will still save money. If you can't find a suitable car ie. colour, factory options etc then importing is still an option that will be open. Regarding km's on the clock, I have owned my R33 GTS-t for over 9 years and arrived with 57,000km. It has 220,000km now, makes 280rwkw and has good compression still. I seized and idler bearing and stripped the timing belt. Flat bed truck, new timing belt and it is still going.
  10. There are plenty of cars for sale in Australia for good prices through this very forum. Many with basic modifications already done. Before you import another one check the for sale boards as there are heaps of motivated sellers plus you get to inspect and drive the car first. There are manual series 2 stageas ie the RS4S and series1 260RS (nearly all series 1 stageas) which have bigger sway bars etc which is a step up handling-wise compared to the auto versions. Importing is mostly fairly straight forward but there are plenty of sneaky hidden things cropping up from timing of arrival to issues mechanically with the car that you will only find out when they land. My stagea had a buggered clutch and coil pack issues out of the box, it was missing some of the "listed goodies like the turbo timer (no loss there but a matter of priciple) the usual small amount of rust around the mirrors and the mismatched paint on the left rear panel despite "no signs of repairs" on the pre-purchase sheet. All in all if there were any RS4S's for sale several years ago I would have preferred buying locally but by the same token I am not bleating about most of those issues as they are ultimately a fact of car ownership but I had to reach into my pocket a little deeper than I was hoping from day 1. ps. I like the Stagea just fine and they go quite nicely with some more boost and engine management upgrades.
  11. x2 We stuck a 3" straight through 18"x10"x8" on the stagea (more room back there) in addition to a mid-muffler of modest size. It is quieter than stock.
  12. A bogan with an 80ft cruiser and hot bikini clad chicks........ ...who's laughing now??
  13. It looks a bit lazy coming onto boost but it makes the numbers. I reckon there is more to be had in the mid range with tweaking/checking boost control and wastegate pre-load. Have you modified your suspension? How much rear camber? My R33 makes very similar power (allowing variations for dynos) and I have almost no issues getting power to the road with regular road tyres. I have the old SK GB suspension (bilsteins etc) and I have tweaked the settings around to suit me.
  14. Is this the ol' reach around and ear nibble thing you were talking about before?
  15. Formula1.com has a poll at the bottom of the first page on who is to blame. Surprisingly close. Do all German F1 fans wear coke bottle glasses?
  16. They might be towelling MW down but privately giving him support. GenY are cry babies that need lots of reassurance or else they seem to take their bat and ball.
  17. He will punching wankers for the rest of his life if he comes back home.
  18. RBR Helmut Marko WTF. Did he really say that?? Does he really believe either driver should concede a position when they are on equal points?
  19. Petrov sneaks in with the fastest lap.
  20. I like the team orders for Button "fuel crucial" = do not, I repeat do not stick it into LH settle for 2nd
  21. come on Hamo bin it (that was clean and hard, nice work LH an JB)
  22. I bet SebVet is pissed with himself for letting Hamo thru.
