  1. Just becuase you hit her doesn't make it your fault. Happenned to an old school friend ages ago and he made her pay for repairs. SOunds slack but why should you have to pay for her mistake.
  2. Thanks guys. Wouldn't have thought of those points. I knew it would be worth asking.
  3. Hi people, Got my fornt/dump 3" the other day and wanna have a go myself putting it in. Any tricks i need to know about before bustin' somthing? Looks like ....remove turbo cover to get at exhaust...pretty much undo there, undo cat......replace and that's it.... The guy I bought it of reckons it would take 2-3 hrs???? Also, the covering of the old frontdump, can that be used on the new? Thanks..
  4. Hi guys, When you hover your mouse over the thread topic and you can see what's written inside without having to open it, (awesome feature!), can the timing of this be increased? Lasts about 2 seconds and I have to do it again...and again. Yeah, I'm a slow reader Maybe make it so there is no timin at all...stays until you move away???? Or maybe it's in the options somewhere and I'm just being lazy... Thanks....Birnie PS...Love the new layout....Itchin' for the new front page!!!
  5. The Friday session, does this one need previous experience? and still spaces left?
  6. Easy to do yourself. never soldered before and I did it. Funn thing is, there's and empty slot on the motherboard just waiting for the chip....that's great.....in the old Xbox' you had to 'solder suck' the solder out before installing the chip,..In the later version, the solder was already gone....Making it even easier to chip...thanks MSoft
  7. Anyone with just the G-Sensor give me a yell. I already have the RSM. Thanks..Birnie
  8. That is...the standard/factory taco reads higher than what the APEXI RSM showed
  9. After installing the APEXi Rev Speed Meter which gets the pulses directly from the engine sensors (or whatever)...the revs read high on mine aswell.
  10. When people say 'stock', i think they are just emphasising the fact that no extra load has been put on the engine. ie. no boost controllers and cams adjustments and blah blah blah. Exhaust should actually take a load off your engine (but in turn, it runs better so you give it more to compensate hehe)
  11. NISMO Strut brace for the front? And will fit a SII R33? Give ya $100
  12. Just rang em cause i forgot how much it was. i knew it was alot less than $300....it's $185
  13. Good luck. Just remember they won't check panel damage or paint quality so take a fridge magnet and do it yourself.
  14. Sydney Vehicle Checking are very good. I've used them about 5 times in the past and are always impressed with their professionalism. One thing that NRMA does NOT do is check the panels for bog. Syd Vehicle checking do...they go over every panel with their magnet tester... Saved me from buying a complete write off..looked perfect but had been through those hail storms and bogged up cheap.. I couldn't tell but they could. Also, with the Skyline I bought, they inspected it, checked all panels...all good, except they could tell that the white on the front right guarrd was different to the other white panels...maybe panel replaced or resprayed due to scratching. Even after he pointed it out, i couldn't tell. they are cheaper too but not in the way they do things. Give em a call!! http://www.sydneyvehiclecheck.com.au/
  15. ..a bit more, if you download the wiring instruction for the Apexi RSM, it will most likely have your car in there and you should be able to figure out which wire it is.
  16. Is it as simple as cutting the wire only? I have an R33 but can't imagine it would be that different. Anyway, installed an APEXi RevSpeed meter last week. When cuttiung out the speed delimiter, we cut a wire and fed it into the Apexi thing, then an output was fed back into the ECU. So although it was cut, the signal was not lost, just altered I guess before hitting the ECU. Awesome little thing to have buy the way considering my speedo is crapped out. Probably from winding back etc, so this little ripper did 2 things for, speedo and delimiter ! I lurv it
  17. Don't worry, it's only a small sub, a Pioneer 10inch in a box. Reasonably small amp. Just want a bit more bass behind my music. I'm not a doof doof guy anyway. Still listening to my Queen and Skid Row CDs
  18. Fair enough. But $100 for some decent 3ways in the back compared to around $300,..... I'll take the 6x9s
  19. Got the amp, got the sub just not in yet...besides, that's for the boot. I love the sound coming from the rear speakers aswell as front so not going to do just the front splits/sub option if that's what your were heading towards. Birnie
  20. That would be excellent ! I'd prefer to kee[p it stock looking in the rear too so maybe that's the way to go Thanks
  21. Hi guys, there used to be some pics in here somewhere with 6x9s installed in the rear parcel shelf. Does anyone still have some and feal like putting em back up? Also, when doing it, was one set of spacers enough to clear the battery? Thanks..Birnie
  22. I know the sticker you mean. I have it too and from what I've been told, it is just a reminder to change your timing belt at 100ks. But, (as a freind told me a week ago), seeing most cars are wound back, alot of people change the belt straight away to be on the safe side, cause if it breaks, you are stuffed ! Well, going on his advice, I still haven't changed mine either..hehe (slack arse) But yeah, pretty sure that's what it is. So not that is has been changed, but a reminder to change it when you reach 100ks...
  23. Anywhere on the net i can get info on this item? Thanks
  24. If you go to the Turbosmart website, it has installation instructions for the "Gated" Boost Controller and it has a pic of the Turbo by itself with arrows pointing to what's what. http://www.turbosmart.com.au/pdf/FG-GBCV-BT.PDF
  25. Would it be possible for stuff that is definately sold to be moved (maybe by permission) to another section or even deleted. It can be a bit anoying going thru that section only to read thru all the info and see right at the end "sold".. Doh! thanks..Birnie
