  1. I'd download this one http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocumentat...ringDiagram.pdf ..and look at diagram N4 - c on page 24
  2. Yep, did mine myself (and my brother) and if it's blank, your not reading it right. We read everything quite a few times and made notes on colors positions of wires etc.... Did it all once and switched it on... First thing we tried was Revs and all worked fine. Maybe you're reading the wrong ECU diagram but it's definatley correct Or maybe you've got it upside down but i doubt that as you've got the power working.. Good luck
  3. Should be no problem at all to disconnect when nt running I'd say. Won't affect anything. But anyway...what i do is a couple of matching velcro sticky strips. One on the RSM and one on the dash in front of the standard speed dial. Just enought room to see kms, boost and fuel...perfect! The everytime i park, just 'rip' it off and place it under the dash where the pdeals are. Sort of a reverse type shelf there and balances there fine.
  4. i agree, the only problem would be the speed signal as the rest only tap in to what the ECU sees whethere the RSM is there or not. ie, the speed wire is acually cut and runs thru the RSP and then to the ECU. I can't see this being a problem though if the ECU doen't get the speed signal. Because it must be altering it or removing it altogether for the car to work over 180km/h. If you are still worried about it, wire it the alternate way which only taps into the wire without doing the speed cut. Then it would DEFINATELY work plugeed in or not. I've got one so i guess i should unplug it and give it ago but i'm stuck at work now for 12 hrs
  5. I think their price is more like $1200 delivered to your door. (but that might be a different brand) Send him a mail and see what he says
  6. Hey Ash, You didn't make it right to Terrigal did you? I didn't see you there? You don't know me, but i know of you thru Backup(Dale) I think i counted 10 Skylines at Terrigal Niiiiicccceeeee
  7. Yeah, bit expensive, sometimes fun to go to son of rajab smAshleys too, free to get in and maybe pick up an old duck hehe
  8. The Terrigal one that is.... Maybe put some dancing shoes on and go to Key Largo.....hehe
  9. Well, maybe I'll be in for this one. Haven't met anyone off this site yet and should get off my lazy arse and go. Sooo bored too. Another guy we'll be waitng for us when we get there.
  10. Saw him aswell the other day with heaps of stickers down the side. He was parked outside the performance shop on Victoria Rd near Birkenhead point. Tiny little shop next to a dealer
  11. Maybe the factory boost sensor has came unscrewed due to vibrations and is floating around the engine bay unsecured. Boost sensors have to be up the right way (i think) for them to work properly so maybe that could be it. Something near that area in mine has lost a screw, don't know what it is but the car is still running fine. It's just sitting there resting on the wheel cover. I'll fix it soon though.
  12. ..well nearly anyway. Money has been paid and stickers and access to spooky/private areas to come. Can't wait! I'm very excited ! I still can't believe I'm a car nutter! From a '91 Camry wagon to a Skyline. What a step-up! One of my old famous quotes ..... "What do you need a nice/fast car for? You only need to get from A to B" hehe This site is the BEST! An encyclopedia of info. Oil has been changed, spark plugs will be in about 30 mins all thanks to here. Also learning and learning more and more about how stuff works. Thanks a ton guys/gals. Catch ya on the forums...Birnie ..and hopefully a track/skid pan day soon....
  13. Seen the add too and first thing that entered my mind was spokey dokey's for cars..... Yuk
  14. The prices that flyn.com.au quote are usually more expensive than what he actually charges. He sells stuff on ebay and if you search around you can usually find his stuff. Then email him and you can pretty much get the item you want a the starting price and then pick it up from him. Good reliable guy
  15. Thanks Dluded, For those nice comments, you can have em for $50 ok? haha
  16. Oh yeah, definately keeping them. Always liked em and still do, just asking for suriousity sake.
  17. here 'tis
  18. Hey thanks ! That is EXACTLY the wheels i have. Tried checking the site a bit more but it's all funny characters. oh well Thanks again.....Birnie
  19. Hey guys, My car came with Cerumo rims all 'round and being pretty much useless when it comes to cars, i have no idea how good they are. Are they any good as in weight etc??? or anyone know what they are worth? 17inch rims all around, 9" deep (265's) on the back and not sure about the front but they have 235's on 'em. Thanks....Birnie
  20. Haven't been lookng toooo hard for it but when i do, no one seems to have it in stock???? I bought Import driver (? i think that's what it's called) the other day, when you get an extra copy of another issue for free, for something to read while at a B&B. But when i left, i left the bloody things behind! Doh ! Well hopefully they are still sitting on the coffee table with the other knitting and cooking mags....tehe
  21. Hey guys, I have the Turbosmart bleeder type boost controller. It's not installed at the moment but when it was in, you have the increased boost plus the boost coming on earlier....alot earlier. Well, believ it or not, i don't like it like that cause i do alot of city commuting and prefer a smoother ride, too jerky with it coming on soo quick, and noisy to with the ol' pod. My question is.... ------------------ If i remove the little ball and spring inside it, will that stop the wastgate/pressure/delay thingy happening and still get extra boost with the pressure-bleeding still working??? Thanks....Birnie
  22. I had what looked like a buy 10 coffees and get one free card. The type that gets stamped everytime you use it, all in Japanese of course. There was another card too which i could not decifer at all but i still have em at home somewhere. Also there was a Japanese cigerette butt in the centre consol ash tray
  23. My only relief from this is that being a P Plater, I'm assuming he doesn't have all that much money, and maybe not insurance (would insurance cover this anyway??) and therefore have a nice $20k loan to pay off for a few years...hehehe
  24. Just saw the TV news report on a poilce chase resulting in a Skyline/P plater running into a Pathfinder. I 'think' no one was majorly hurt but i hope the catch the driver and throw the dickhead in jail. What a great Skyline representative he is. And P plater representative aswell. Geeeze ! YOU ARE A MORON !
  25. If you are gong for something like a SAFC II, i'd check out ebay.com I recently bought one sooo cheap it's not funny. Brand new (except a display model) off japandy After all postage and currency conversion, cost me $360 ! The guy is great, packaed it as a present and wrote Happy Birthday on the front. No taxs at all Just gotta install the thing which i could do myself and I've heard the tuning side is about 1 hr on a dyno..another $120. Now thats cheap ! About $500 fully installed and tuned. Can't wait to see these graph results
