  1. Thanks guys! I'd lile to get some FAQs up there but will do it when i get my hands on a digital camera to make it that much better. (the oil changing one was excellent!) What you guys wrote is definately a good start. I nearly went ahead and did it today, but didn't thankfully. I installed my SAFC instead. Looks sooooo cool even though it's not doing anything yet. One wire to go.....the fuel mixture one. The throttle display is great for a giggle. Search words ----------------- replace replacing brake fluid change changing air bubble bubbles
  2. Hey guys, Wanna change my brake fluid today as its never been done. Been investigating all the threads and think I'll be going for the Caltex Gp600 Dot 4. I'll grab myself a bleeder kit and give it a red hot go. Any tips on what to do cause i have no idea and can't find any DIY's on it? Do any wheels need removing? How many litres needed for an R33 GTST? And not sure about the actual bleed nipple, as in what to do with it? (a half turn or something) Any info appreciated. Thanks...Birnie :headspin:
  3. I don't think it's that at all (the 'straiaght' bit). The link you had was directly thru to a sign up page. I saw that and thought stuff that ! But after checking other parts of your page it was OK. Just do it again (maybe in the business section) and change the link to your page to the front page and not the sign up page.
  4. Yeah, i think thats the option i will be going for, cheap and sounds like it works well. The other one looks nice and flashy but not relly neaded i think. The speedbleeder was the one i was thinking of though, thanks SydneyKid. I lurv this site. The feedback is great
  5. I got a set of GRBs from Tempe Tyres, they were the 265x40x17's. Usuall $299 each, they gave em to me for $200. I'd be calling them for sure!
  6. I have no idea what they are called but they sit no the end somewhere and allow you to bleed your brake fluid with one person instead of a few??? You give them a half turn on the wrench and they bleed themselves with the pressure of your foot on the pedal. Hmmm, what am i talking about..? If you know what I'm on about, can you give me some feed back on them. Are they worth it? (I like to do these fluid replacements myself) ..and any links as to where to get em from. What are they called??? Much appreciated... Birnie
  7. It's the Profec A (well it is in the picture )
  8. Is that your car? Look sweet! Much done to it? Had mine about 8 months and still going great, still lurv it Just popped in the bleeder and thats made it all smiles all over again
  9. Well on the positive side, i got mine from ebay (SAFC-II) and had no probs. Second hand although only because it is a shelf/display model so never installed. The ebay guy is japandy and he usually has a few good things. I paid around $360 all up and it also had the stand included Guess i was just lucky, but then again, i haven;t installed it yet and it may not work!! hehe.....
  10. Just for a bit of history so people can search it up later..... I removed the spring and ball from inside the boost controller and it all works fine just how i wanted it. Also, i had it installed once before and had no control over the boost. It would spool up real fast cause of the delay in pressure to the actuator, but when it hit over 4500revs for the programmed in 7psi bit, it would go nuts right up to 14+ psi. And yes i had it screwed right in for zero boost. Now with the ball removed, it all works fine. Easy fine adjustment as expected with the screw top. Now i want a standard air box cause damn my car is noisy and i don't wanna deffect notice. Cya! Birnie
  11. just the box (with/without filter) needed. I have the snorkle. Sydney pickup preffered.....$price ??? Thanks...Birnie :bond:
  12. Oh yeah, and although its not a lifetime guarantee, it does have a 10yr guarantee
  13. Quick follow up.... I did a look around at everything awhile ago just to get an idea and was suprised how expnsive things can be and just let the idea slide for awhile. But yesterday, the Motopro ones for $199 had been reduced to $129 so i bought them. Heaps of stuff. Don't think the quality is right uip there but it looks ok. Has 3 different sized ratchers, sparkplug sockets, allen keys and more plus a 4 draw chest to keep it in. Just thought I'd pass it on in case someone else needs some quite cheap stuff. The special ends very soon so I'd get in there if you want em.. Thanks....Birnie out
  14. Hey guys, :wavey: I've had all my crap in the back removed for ages (seats and parcel tray) until i finally put speakers in there. Now i can't remember how the child restaint things go back in! Do they end up sitting flush up against the grills? If so, they don't fit thru the parcel tray hole???? so surely that aint right. Hmmmm, no idea :nowigetit Thanks..Birnie
  15. I've got one and had it installed by Blitz? (Pete..thanks!!!) the other week and there's a definate difference. There's nothing wrong with em and if your talking aboiut the flying dump from flying international on ebay, they are quite cheap.....and if i'm allowed to say, cheaper than the previous mentioned. Just send him an email and he will give it to you for the starting price on ebay without having to bid. I sugest buying the heat wrap off hjim too. Catch ya ! Birnie
  16. What the hell were you doin' ? Tooheys New hey? I might 'round some lights
  17. Howdy partners :wavey: A buddy is having problems with his plenum and the mechanic says that the 'Lower intake manifold gasket' needs replacing. Gas leaking everywhere. But 2 weeks delevery from Japan??? Any ideas of somewhere that would have this stuff now? Iwill try the usual such as UAS tommorrow but its after hours and i thought i'd post the question anyway. Thanks..Birnie
  18. Yeah, i guess i'm going for a bit for more of a cheapy as i don't know that much about cars and do pretty minimal amount of work on them. The plan is to learn more and more and I'm getting there slowly. The Kmart Motorpro had a 230 piece set for $199. Had heaps of stuff in it in a 2 draw set
  19. thanks guys. Might have a look at Repco Pro tommorrow Also a guy bought a tray of tools from Kmart for $150 that have lasted 4 years (prolly Mototpro) Will be having a lookski their too.

Just want something better quality than the $20 sets but dont' need the $500 set. What do you guys recommend? (i did search but didn't find much) Thanks..Birnie :bond:
