I wonder if its due to the pumps inability to correctly measure the amount of fuel. Apparently an issue interstate a little while back and sale there was also halted for a bit. Ahh well better use the E85 thats left in the tank and pick up a water injection kit if its never coming back.

LOL Thanks for your sheer rudeness buddy. If you take ones advice and don't do further research thats your sheer stupidity. With regards to what I am on about.. Its not to hard to work out. But then again...... and then... your sig.. If you don't plan on running the 272's with a hydraulic head (why don't the japs like such cams?) or with the 3037 just state your plans are bigger and better. No need to sprout off some wanker comment. Obviously the duty tax comment was not directed at myself.
-
Warlord.. if you want 272's don't mess around with the hydraulic convert it to solid (there's a bloke that converts the std lifters to solid) and then upsize that turbo as 272's will be a waste. hydraulic 260-265's will see that 3037 max out easily on pump fuel with around 1 bar. Dirt is sharing his experience with the 26. Not the 25 hydraulic crap where big duration != better.

Dyno Run After Tune..little Bit Disapointed
SLAPS replied to SS#eater's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Agreed any updates? -
I am extremely happy with mine. Apparently the jap cams tend to be a little soft on the ramp rate side. So I've been told I haven't profiled a jap cam so wouldn't know what was good bad or ugly.

I'm running a pair of 264 [email protected] 9mm (110/115) cams at their std centrelines in the rb30det with a 9:1 static comp, ported/polished, deshrouded head. Idles smooth and can tell its got a slight cam but doesn't lope as such. Just a deep smooth throb. The top end has that typical cam sound due to the increased ramp rates. Economy is great (attributed to a slightly better tune) and picked up ~30rwkw on the same boost. No noticeable seat of the pants low end loss (dyno shows real slight loss under ~2000) but once over it starts making more power everywhere. For the RB30DET RB25 head I'd personally convert to solid and run 10.5mm lift cams otherwise you have to try and screw too much boost in to it to make decent power (350-400rwkw+) on pump fuel. Pump fuel really doesn't like lots and lots of boost.

Facebook Petition For Drag Strip In Adelaide
SLAPS replied to medman2damax's topic in South Australia
I have fond memories of the old man taking me to the drags to see the Top Fuelers when I was a young lad. Absolutely amazing watching and 'feeling' it at night. I remember it freaking me out how much my insides were thumping as they are so so damn loud. -
For 200rwkw+ RB20's dont get up and go until 4000rpm minimum. They can start making a 'little' boost before but 4000rpm+ is it for the rb20.

Paypal looks to be most definitely compromised then. :S I've got a visa debit attached to mine so hopefully little damage can be done if it should ever occur.
-
Out of curiosity... Same password for Paypal, Ebay? Do you use the same password for various forums or sites you sign up to? IMO using an email address to sign in to a financial website is a major security risk.

Hard to find anything solid but rumour on the Internetz state Ranns first wife left him for a bikie. lol.
-
According to the black and white its not. Some or all inspectors may be happy enough to bend the rules but technically If the strut is designed differently to that of the factory its illegal. EDIT: Just rang vehicle standards.. Definitely not legal to weld em up.

Crushing/confiscating cars.... My concern would be the young hoon running from the cops because he fears his car being taken/crushed (left with a large debt). The hoon slams in to a family killing or seriously injuring them. Its bound to happen. Young males simply don't 'think', having studied child psychology this stupid risk taking behaviour its part of development or more so lack there of. If a fleeing hoon slammed in to my family on a Sunday afternoon I think I'd take on a personal vendetta to the person who decided confiscating/crushing cars is a good idea. Clamp the car in their drive way for an extended period of time for all neighbours/friends/family to see or force them to sell it, big fine and loss of license.

If only that was the view of Regency. Height adjustable coil overs are illegal as the 'adjustable' coil over is a major load carrying component that is a different design to factory. Ride height adjustment via the means of lowered springs and shocks is no issue at all. Swapping a factory coil over (skylines run coil overs factory) for an aftermarket non height adjustable coil over is legal as its 'design' is the same. Unfortunately swapping out major load carrying components to a different design is a no go UNLESS it was an option from the original manufactures for that particular make/model.

I am a little confused exactly what mods reside in this grey area? Its either illegal or its not. Its in black and white. Using Neil to clarify is for the lazy man. IMO we should do some reading and research our selves and if require further clarification speak to Regency Vehicle standards. Its only a phone call away. --- With regards to Neils message. May be true for normal hours of the day, but be seen out 'cruising' on a Friday or Saturday night out of 'normal' hours and you may find your self pulled over just to see what your up to.

Those who are interested in motorsport you can't beat Nissan Datsun Car Club (NDCCSA). $50 single or family membership is damn cheap CAMS affiliated, might be worth trying to structure the membership fees around NDCCSA. http://www.nissandatsuncarclubsa.com/ May be worth while looking in to becoming affiliated with MSCA as its an invaluable addition to a car club. Makes for a great day racing against some exotics, great fun handing it to a dodge viper!! http://www.mscasa.com/ http://www.mscasa.com/results/2009/results_round1.html Some very quick cars out there. IMO no affiliation with MSCA = loose. --- Hope all goes well with the car club. The biggest issue is the liability side of things on cruises etc. Be careful make sure you cover yo ass if its more of a social club than motorsport.
-
There's a considerably greater cost involved in preparing your car for circuit work. A trip down the drags is just your every day car + the entry fee and a helmet. Its a great place to 'loiter/socialise' with mates. Police (NSW specifically) have stated a drag strip reduces incidents of street racing. Every little bit helps. Imposing tougher and tougher hoon laws may scare the youngans and they may very well try their luck and run instead of pull over. Thats my concern. :S When I was younger I don't really remember that many street drags down anzacs. People used to cruise and you would see some awesome cars on after a drag night but generally it was fairly sensible. It was some time ago so my memory is fading. A a few years back anzac drag way got much worse. On the way home one night I came across a group of 10+ cars doing laps down anzacs. There was a tubbed sigma, multiple imports and a heap of v8 commodores etc. All dropping speeds to 20-30km/h and then screaming off down anzacs. I swear I never saw any of that in my younger days and we used to do the hindley, rundle and jetty laps almost all night. :S
-
I too would be in it.
-
Its all good; if they read the article they will see the hoon vehicle of choice is apparently VN Commodore driven by a P plater. Teens and early to mid 20's decisions tend not to consider consequences. We have all made mistakes but no one deserves to pay for it with their life. RIP.
-
RIP. We need an affordable drag strip. Kids blow $30 if not more in one nights driving. $50 a pop to get in to a drag strip + a little petrol - its a hell of a lot more fun and safe than on the street.
-
Top effort. Tyres? and how much power?
-
A week or so late but damn RIPZ in to the 7's. (7.91 @ 176mph) More damn.... 1400hp, GT45, 10,000RPM, stock rb30 crank, stock rb30 block!

R32 Gts-t Mod Original Rb20 Or Go With A Rb25?
SLAPS replied to 335's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Do you plan to race/track the car or is it a traffic light warrior? If its the later go the rb25 with a GT28 or GT3071 .6 bolted on and you won't look back. If its a race/track car stick with the rb20 for mid 200rwkw. -
IMO $620 for a tune is a rip off. Whats that 5hrs dyno time and they still didn't fix the boost drop or tell you what was causing it. :S
-
Way too big.. Response, spool and no doubt peak power will suffer with such big cams when aiming for 250rwkw. I would consider a set of 256mm cams.
