Installing Injectors - Do's and Dont's
Bullant47 replied to Turbo Tits's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yes there is a special grease to use on the "O" rings. Repco sell the stuff..I think it is PBR rubber grease. I watched my mechanic do the whole job twice cause the first time he didn't realise there was a "O" ring missing off the body of the Nismo injectors. When he pulled the injectors out he didn't compare the stock with the Nismo's. The hardest part of the job was taking out and replacing some bolts under the inlet manifold. Hope that helps Ken. -
Installing Injectors - Do's and Dont's

Make sure you have all new "o" rings, there are 2 on each injector, and are usually not supplied with new injectors (Nismo). Nissan can get them. Their are a few other little bits you can do at the same time. I'm thinking of a little rubber bit that sits on the top of the injector. Hope that helps. ken -

Hi Duncan ..yeah i remember Amaro Park...Seen cars and bikes there. I saw Jackie Stewart racing his BRM at Warwick Farm. Saw Geoghan Bros, Manton, Beechey,Freddy Gibson in his Lotus Elan S2 at Katalina (Katoomba). There used to be a few other tracks years ago. Ken

Thanks Geoff, I was hoping someone from Vic might jog his memory. He kept saying he would check why my CD wasn't delivered and kept saying it will be in the post tomorrow and i have been waiting and waiting. Just seemed crazy that a CD would be so hard to mail off. 5 weeks is ridiculous. Thanks Geoff Ken

Has anybody actually received their CD from FunkeyMonkey aka Shan Moorthy. I made a direct deposit for the $10 into his account on the 4th November and still havn't recieved a CD. I have PM'd him on numerous occasions and get a lame excuse and now i don't even get a reply. I wouldn't have thought anbody would be desperate enought to rip anyone for a lousy $10 but i guess if their are enought $10's around it might be profitable. Ken

Hi guys, Had a good run home without a drama. Just want to thank you all for a fabulous weekend, and it was for sure one of the best weekends i can remember. The Supersprint was a pure adrenelin rush. Where else can you lay rubber and floor the accelerator and drive as fast as sanely possible with NO WORRIES. The Hillclimb....well exciting and real "Heart in the mouth" stuff. All in all just a fantastic weekend and can't wait for another motorsport weekend like that. Once again it was great meeting you all and look forward to our next meeting. Ian

OK. What is supplied in the kit is purfect, the only thing you need to reuse is the solid metal pipe that fits onto the Calipers on the front. Every bit supplied by Maltech is well labeled so is totally idiotproof. The only thing i reccomend is that a GOOD quality 10mm Pipe Spanner is required because the fittings are extremely tight both undooing and dooing up and you dont want to round the fittings. I can't emphersise the GOOD QUALITY bit enough. Fantatsic group buy Al Ian

Heyyy the Rear Adjustable Control Arms arrived today. Powder coated in speedy blue. Thanks jaik.

Has anybody actually received anything from jaik? The goods apparantly arrived in WA three weeks ago. Makes ya wonder huh?

YoooHoooo....Got mine on Friday and fitted up and bled no problem. These lines are exactly the same as stock lines with the brass block in them. Al is 100% right on the fact that the Skyline lines are more costly to make with the additional block and extra swedgings(spelling). You can notice the differance immediately when you stand on the brakes...much harder pedal. I think my rubber lines must have been soft after 10 years. Thanks Al for setting up the fantastic Group Buy and thanks Steve (Maltech) for being so quick with the lines and supply. I know everyone that buys these lines will be happy with them Thanks again Al Ian

Well thanks all for the advise, the R34 NEO cam is on its way back to the land of the rising sun. The correct cam is on its way to the land downunder which will allow us to use the R33 CAS and hopefully will be be installed on Tuesday. Thanks again for all the expert advise and we can all learn from this experience. Ian
