  7. Hey dabigbolf ring VPW they have catch cans for $80-100 i got one but they sent me a bloddy radiator overflow tank but it actually worked out better as they have the proper fittings,i post a pic of where mine is ok
  8. i think youll have to use the rb30 clutch as there about 10mm bigger in diameter, also u MIGHT! have to get a new front pipe
  9. does any1 know what the rb30 pistons are made of and whether the non turbo and turbo pistons are made out of the same thing?
  10. i dont think that 8.3 will be very laggy, but compared to 7.something that the turbo pistons give ya then thatll be laggy. Really ender i think doing the engine yourself will be alot cheaper and most of the ppl that are interested in doing this and have replied to this thread are probably doing it themselves, really u should buy a few good tools espicially a torque rench then buy a rb30 engine manual which I HAVE!!! with every bolt and nut in the complete rb30 engine and there torque settings everything which will make my life alot easyier
  11. i would rather buy a complete rb30engine ender and work with that and put all new parts in,as there fairly cheap also ive seen complete rb30's for $100 in need of rebuild, then get the complete motor ready to bolt in to your car, then when yourve got a spare week off work put the motor in,thats what im doing and it means i can still drive my car around untill the motor is fully complete, also i think u might need the front pipe modified because it might end up to close to the floorpan but thats easy stuff
  12. the rb20 inlet manifold i different but the exaust manifold is the same on both rb20 and rb25
  13. well my engine is in bits and the block is going to get cleaned honed and painted next week sometime and also my rods are gonna get prepped this week aswell,
  14. any1 live out westside that has them on cd,ill bring some blanks and maybe some cash if i can get them, cause ive never seen them be4
  15. yeah can we meet somewhere,or ash can ring me where u are later on in the night and ill join u guys
  16. lol man if u do this u wont wanna put the exaust on HAHAHAHA i had to do the same thing when i made up my exaust, i just had the dump pipe and OMG! was it load but sounded sooooo cool
  17. 300kws with the standard turbo? i havnt heard that be4,u sure u dont mean a t3/t4?
  18. has any1 priced up the turbo on the new BA xr6 as they are a gt30/40 turbo with internal gate, and probably a t4 flange????
  19. ok then, well wait till kev gets back to us to see if he can get a track instead, cause id prefer that instead but i wont rule out the skid pan day for 6 of us.
  20. ill get a price for you on Monday Joel,i got all the rb30 bearings and bottom end parts prices about 6 weeks ago but i lostem LOL but ill get ya some better prices monday for sure
  21. alright well ive kinda got some bad news and good news, well we can have around 5 hrs on the skidpan and do whatever we want, aslong as we keep the noise down (so no loud cars) and that we have 7-10 drivers at the MOST on the day as he said it takes too long to give every1 a go, and then theres the cost He said $95 which is pretty expensive but u get around 45-60mins on the skidpan each. So is any1 still interested? Im gonna ask a friend who is the Manager at Calder to see whats involved and the costs in hireing that instead,i mean 10 ppl with $95 each is almost 1000 and i think if we had about 30 ppl atleast we could hire out calder for the day instead couldnt you?
  22. alright then, well im ringing him tomorrow to find out all the costs involved, but last time mccr did it, it wasnt that much
  23. Just wondering if any1 is interested in a drift day on a skidpan? im finding all the costs involved but mccr had one of these not long ago and they had heaps of fun!! also its in Tullamarine which isnt very far for any1..
  24. i think there only a little bigger, there about the same size as the vg30 turbo,so for the rb25 its not really worth it. put that 500 towards a bigger garret turbo or something along those lines
