  1. Deep down, you know that it is because they are imports, that is why we can afford them. Skylines are cheap in the scheme of things. Parts can be expensive. But you can hunt around and you get good advice here and SAU helps minimise the bills. The work done on my car is done at cheap labour rates. If you were to buy a brand new SS Commodore or even a plain new Vectra or Magna, it would cost much more. I sometimes drive a work Magna. It's $32,000. My Skyline is nowhere near $32,000. So this car is really a cheap runabout... I'd be more in hock if I bought a brand new Hyundai Accent or Honda Getz. And which car is more rewarding to drive and own? It's the "33" T.
  2. A 34 GT-t and GT-R both put out 206kW. Nissan says so. It must be correct. T.
  3. I think it also comes down to cost. I got some OUTRAGEOUS figures to flow and refurb a stock turbo (up to $2,500!!!). In this case a HKS2540 is your friend On the plus side a flow stock obviously is easy on install, uses the same pipes and does not alert the police OR insurance T.
  4. And for me, this car is about as expensive as an ordinary car... and I need a car... so drive a Skyline... why not? T.
  5. A lot of us (A LOT!) have IT jobs. T.
  6. Where are you located? T.
  7. Who's the underwriter? (Or the undertaker as the case may be...) T.
  8. High flowing a stock turbo should include a new stainless steel spindle and intake/exhaust wheels. You should be looking at well over 20psi safely on a flowed stock. The translates to much more than the 15-20rwkw you speak of... This also does not take into account larger trim wheels you can install. T.
  9. The RB25 seems more adaptable to aftermarket ECU's. True? T.
  10. WTF is this? Aprils Fools isn't over yet is it... T.
  11. I seen a blue r32 four door ages ago (6months+ before I got my 33). It was at Westfield Parra. Seemed like the perfect car for me. I was all set to buy a r32/33 four door 5 speed rb25de N/A. The 32 is an especially nice looking car as a sedan. Who needs a turbo? I'm not a hoon... and four doors is more practical. How da *** did I end up with my 33 turbo coupe??? Explain. T.
  12. Any Sydney dealer with cheap metal GT-R or Nismo keys? Waitara/Hornsby Nissan want $100 :-( T.
