  1. phat_r33, where you taking some people to the st pats ball on Saterday? cause i saw 2 gts-t's with carbin bonnet and chromes in line (i dropped a group off)
  2. Yes bracket then the grill clips in.
  3. This is my head light, it's pretty good in high beam, and the "projector beams" make a huge dif when there turned on. Ronin 09: here's my clips
  4. I'll take some tonight, i need a new grill one of the clips on the grill is broken and it's out of shape now
  5. The Alpine Excell from Launceston. It's got a mega huge Alpine sticker down each side of the car, the stickers down the door (blitz..etc) ,a 10" rice cannon, and a blindmans tacho. We should take pics and make it a rice hunter thread (and by rice i mean any car with usless external mods)
  6. Pretty sure neons are illigal. I havn't had any trouble from the cops, but then i don't race round town and show of my 'drifting skillz' round speedy tyres corner
  7. so apexi is the best panel filter?
  8. My car has those lights, how do you tell if they'r real N1 lightes?
  9. well the chasis number checked out, and it had all the origenal piping that vented air (and water) from the front into the drivers back, by the condition it should be a ridgy didge. But It did have the wrong carbs , a butured interior, one of the alloy roofs they tested back in the 60's, and a Gulf racing back (wider wheel arches) Did anyone see where the fules lines were? they practily rubbed on the front tires.
  10. na i didn't look for that. Dad looked in his GT40 book, and the car has been in Aus since the 70's.
  11. lol dad and i commented on the good ol crossplys. I though if you can afford a real GT40, you can afford real tyres (esp since your racing it)
  12. Thanks for clearing all that up, did you inspect the GT40?
  13. ahhh i didn't read it properly, i just saw skyline GT-R under the M2 regs. I hope they don't go through, cause it just seem's to be making less accesable to normal people. Targa Tom: didn't they have the new electronic timing system in place this year? They were saying in the newsletters that they were going to utelise it this year, and just use the homo paper system as a backup. I watched the satge at Lonford this year, and i was on the left hand corner near the start, and when you got 3/4 round the corner you discovered it had a layer of loose blumetal on it. I saw 2 cars blow tires (if not break wheels) on the curb after they hit the gravel, potentually ruening someones rally. I agree that Targa should be in contact with the consells to make sure that roads are up to a good standard for racing[/i] on well before the rally. BTW your car was one of the faster/neater cars I saw that day. Targa should also stop being picky and choosy about the rules, eg there is no way Brocks Monaro fitted in the regs, and this year the GT40 had no form of roll cage (and i didn't see a fire extingesher either). Yet they disquallify the Whites for missing the intercooler cover
  14. They are almost identical to the current Targa regs (only read the modern regs). Are you allowed to modify boost in the current regs?
  15. It snowed last year , i'll look forward to seeing the Nismo team next year
  16. I heard that there is possibly new rules coming in that would rull out 40% of the field, anyone know where the doco for this is (it's ment to be on the Targa site somewhere)
  17. is you car a genuine N1? Last year the whites had to change the whole electrical system, and in the end the problem was a clogged fuel filter. (according to the targa DVD)
  18. Back before octagon steped in, there was a Japanise couple with a reputed 900hp GTR. Then octagon stepped in and everything is stockers now
  19. didn't i basicly say that (well that's what a meant anyway) how much work is it to spec a R32 up to a N1? and can you just replace the ATTESA-ETS with ATTESA - pro to bring it upto a Vpec N1. Cause dad and I are looking to go in it next year.
  20. Big congrats to the whites, been following them ever since they entered their mad 300zx Only modes your allowed in the modern section of Targa is Breaks (what ever you can fit under your wheels) Engine ECU -45kg (but can't remove rear seats unless they have to go to fit a roll cage) zorst (but it can't be any bigger, just high flow cat, mufler) and that's it more boost (standard fridge)
  21. It's a R34 V'Spec II N1, the only diference is the breaks, Motec ECU, and higher boost. The Targa regs for the modern comp are so tight.
