  1. We didn't use a trip computer this year, but we're locals and know how to get to the stages, and we put landmarks in the notes incase we fall off them.
  2. that's why Dad's is still going
  3. Dad's car was running close to 400kwkw in 2010, good sump, oil cooler, and radiator and they last forever.
  4. 25 only has the switch, not the contantly variable one
  5. Well he is today, who knows what he'll want tomorrow.
  6. we've only worked out how to get the timing switch. Not the full variable like HKS....yet
  7. IP only restrict turbos. Apparently 700-800hp V8's are alright, but turbo's must be restricted to stop them getting close to that.
  8. Ray Hislop runs his car in IPRA, Sports Sedans, and Tas Super Series - Targa class.
  9. Is there really a big advantage in huge tyres on a rally? at what point does the tramlining outweigh the grip?
  10. 18x8.5, Gtst std wheels are 16x6.5
  11. Make sure the crutch strap is tight. cause if it's not you can slide forward in the seat under breaks, and your balls will catch the weight of your body.
  12. steady eddy. I've got some incar here that i'll upload during the week
  13. I didn't need to burn the car out, Damo managed a 62.6. Dunno if these pics will work cause they are on facebook. Bit of drift on the cool down lap.
  14. I'm thinking of putting mine in 3D. Not waisting my time with 3J, I think IPRA is going to finish before they'll stop discriminating against turbo cars.
  15. High comp pistons would be the go
  16. cold weather gives us too much time to think
  17. I'm guessing we are both running the same secret trick
  18. still considering it, i'd like to have a good look at one of them. But Damo and I have worked out how to VVT a normal RB20 head, just would come down to funds, and if this new engine needs it.
  19. I've been a bit slack cause it's been too cold. But the replacment engine is pulled down to install the restrictor, and mod the sump. We had a high pitched squeel all event. We knew it was a boost leak, but considering everthing else we couldn't be bothered. After I pulled the car appart, I found the source of the leak. I had put a incorectly sized bolt clamp on, and it didn't seal evenly.
  20. +1 wrecker motor. From first hand experience headword and/or cams only make a 20's worse
  21. Only RB20 i've ever driven with headwork is really laggy, and didn't make staggering power (260rwkw). There is a 300rwkw RB20 in tassie, and it's a unopened wrecker RB20 + GCG XR6 Turbo. The RB25 head flows more because it's got 25% more capasity.
  22. dunno, i hadn't herd that
  23. It's part of the charicter of the track, doing stuff like that is how we end up with tilk tracks. It's the most prestigious race to win, it's not meant to be easy. Being a temp street circuit it would probably be easier to move the barrier anyway.
  24. I'm pretty happy with the commentary this year. But I am glad that Martin has stoped saying "look but don't stare" when the cars are waiting for the lights to go out.
