  1. stupid Q, but what are AFMs? google define: AFM failed me lol
  2. LOL shell (insert a that's-what-she-said comment) The only problems i've ever noticed with every skyline i've filled up, is that if u dont hold the nozzle at the right angle and depth, it keeps cutting out as if it was full. Bloody annoying
  3. It depends on why you paid a lower figure for the car than market price. In my case, the guy I bought my car off wrote out two receipts (as well as rego papers), one for (Insert how much I paid for a s1 33 here lol) and the other for $7,000. If they ask why such a lower price than market when I use the one for $7k for the rego transfer, I'll just tell them I bought it with a fked gearbox and only 0 compression in one cylendar or something lol, who'd pay full market price for a fked car? So as far as they're concerned, that's what I paid for it, and that's what it was worth.
  4. ahhh haha fair enough then yeah it's true, it's a shit corner...especially turning right out of clift. it's all bumpy uneven crap tarmac, and like no1 going either direction on johnson ever bothers indicating...
  5. Spotted white 33 turning left out of clift onto johnson this arvo, got a nod gave a wave also shell, just for you (note: the top-left corner of the rubber seal for the windscreen is gone, so it might look crooked. Can I has a cookie? also, take note of the horrible condition of the paint on my roof: not my fault
  6. HAHAHAHAHA well it would have been pissed when I'd done cleaning the inside and peeled it off then wouldn't I?! rofl thanks Shell, only emphasising the subject of my recent PM. Well at least this makes things easier.
  7. haha no not yet every time i've had a chance it's been WAY too cold outside, and I need to clean the inside of the windscreen first...which is bad to do in the cold due to instant condensation buildup....will do it tomoro on lunch break, was gonna do it this arvo but left it at work lol
  8. Nah wouldn't have been me Shell, I was in Fyshwick (work there) but didn't drive anywhere. I hope some mofo didn't flog my car for a cruise while I was inside lol *EDIT* haha I even went out to check the trip meter...lol still sure it wasn't my car

  12. I'm sure this has probably been said earlier in this thread, but I'm far too tired to read back only to find out it hasn't lol, but is it true that motorcycles won't be done by the vans due to not having a front number plate for the photo?

  15. Once the car is in your name, you can file for a refund on the remaining interstate registration. If it's NSW rego just go into the RTA in Queanbeyan, but if it's further than that then you're best off mailing a letter requesting the registration be canceled and the remaining rego refunded to you. You have to provide receipts for the surrender of the plates, which you should have got from the shopfront when you swapped rego over. In my case when my car was stolen and written off, it still wasn't in my name yet, so the only way to get the remaining 8 months of rego refunded was for the previous owner to do it. It was only going to be like $150 anyway, so I really couldn't be stuffed driving to Goulburn to get him to do it (and of course splitting it for his troubles) Hope that helped a little
  16. haha cool, slowly getting there with remembering ppl...were u guys having dinner at babar? I walked past and thought i recognised someone but was like if i keep staring he's gonna jump up and hurt me
  17. Spotted Zane's 32 (f**k I think it's his car...I'm horrid with names but I know I should know who owns it lol), a black 32 GTST, Silver 33 (if the owner sees this: god I hope your car was warm when you gave it some around the carpark, at least then you aren't as stupid as I thought - only trying too hard), AND a black series1 R33 with NSW plates, whom I haven't seen before, parked just in front of me - all in woden this evening.
  18. white 34 gtt in woden area about 11:20
  19. White 32 (i think) turning right off the highway onto johnson this evening, also black or dark blue s1 33 in dickson a bit after
  20. haha yeah I thought it may be the case, but from the very rough reading I could get in the poorly lit carpark, it seemed fine. The oil was last changed just under 2000kms ago, it's not blowing smoke, and the 2 oil leaks it currently has are negligible in this case. Will go outside and have a look at the level now that it's light....on that note, when the engine is cold and hasn't been running, where should the oil level be? On the VL, it would be sitting halfway covering the "H" for high on the dipstick, though I don't know the sump size etc for the rb25 as compared to the rb30.
  21. When I started my car late this evening (warm, only off for about 1 minute after having driven), I immediately noticed it appeared to be idling low...couldn't remember the standard ECU idle speed off the top of my head (pretty sure it was 750rpm), but it was sitting around the 550 - 600 mark on the tacho. Also noticed the oil pressure was the lowest I've seen it while the engine is running: it was below the unmarked line between 4 and 0. If I held it at 2000rpm, it would rise to that line, which I assume would be 2? Knowing my luck, it's nothing/I won't be able to replicate it in the morning, but just curious as to anyone elses opinion on whether this indicates a problem or not. Thanks once more guys
