  1. Unfortunately not, though unless you're doing pullups high enough to have the handles in line with your collar bone there isn't an issue with the ceiling I made sure to try that part out as soon as it was in place lol
  2. I'm pretty impressed with it already, which is good considering I haven't even used it yet lol
  3. And we're set
  4. I'm actually really surprised they'd bother sitting up the top...I mean it's not often someone would manage to pull a decent speed UP that hill worthy of the cop's time sitting there.
  5. The ONLY thing I've heard about "performance" mods on police vehicles was to do with raising the idle RPM to compensate for the increased load on the alternator from all the electronics running in the thing.
  6. This section of road you speak of, I know it well. Have performed a similar test myself when I had the 33....sure, it's a bloody steep stretch of road...but Mr WRX has a bit of work to do if he wants to join the club lol
  7. When it's up and in place this arvo I'll get some pics to show, but otherwise it's outside under cover where the BBQ is - no need to navigate any doors etc and should we decide in the future that it should be moved to the garage (if/when there's room in there lol), shouldn't be too heavy for a couple of people to carry around the side of the house and in through the roller doors
  8. If assembling as per the instructions, it would have been tremendously difficult to assemble upright. Would need a second person for half of it just to take the weight of some parts up so you can slip the bolts through. Assembling it by myself was only really possible while it was lying down
  9. Assembled my power cage yesterday arvo, though unfortunately I've gotta wait until I have a second set of remotely strong hands available as I assembled it lying on its side and it hits the ceiling if I try standing it up where it is lol....gotta have someone help me carry it to the grass and stand it up there before carrying it back to where it'll sit.
  10. Yeah Markos I heard a rumour a PTC is opening in Canberra....right as I buy all my own gear! lol
  11. 2012?
  12. Let's just forgo the "horse head threat" and jump straight to the point
  13. f**k reading that novel lol...but yeah let's not forget (and it seems you've encountered yet another prime example) that the clowns employed in VITU (Vehicle Inspection Technical Unit) DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW THE REGULATIONS THEY'RE APPARENTLY CERTIFIED TO ENFORCE. Dead set, they're idiots. They wrongly advised you the first time with your R33, though at least at the time it was fortunately in your favour.
  14. So what on earth are you talking about when you say about slipping in before some law? They need to be fitted and engineered NOW, not after some date in the future. Hence my confusion.
  15. I'm confused...according to the guy who fitted and engineered my restraints, they're supposed to be fitted for compliance when the car is imported....not to mention they already require an engineer's certificate post-compliance (if compliance was dodgy), hence why I needed to have mine added to the report.
  16. hahaha nice
  17. hahahaha yeah it's weird, though that being said I didn't get a chance to hold it horizontally due to restricted space
  18. No such thing! (unless of course it's causing form degradation )
  19. Ignorance and arrogance will be their downfall
  20. Definitely not my issue lol
  21. I agree you need experience to handle the power, but personally I'm wiser than to even try using mine. I've fanged it twice (right time and place) in second gear and it scares the shit out of me - the kind of scary that reminds you why you respect the power it has. I guess I'm just one of those people who's smart enough to know how to ride it appropriately. I know I can't handle what this bike is capable of, but that just means I ride it to my experience and skill level (which is riding it like an absolute bitch most of the time lol). But yeah, not everyone has this mindset.
  22. So cut I can't set up all my new gear until after the weekend The Oly bar totally feels heavier than the ones at the gym lol..... BUT OMG GUYS HOW GOOD DOES FRESH KNURLING FEEL?!??!!?!?!??11ty
  23. Dem farken zombies....and this is exactly why I was done for speeding yesterday would rather be in front of the zombies when they hit each other. Yeah I agree it's probably the best way to go about it....ON PAPER. Not viable in practice
  24. Yeah that's exactly it, hence why I reckon there should be an appropriate workshop and then competency test that removes the power restrictions on your license
  25. Without digressing even further, I agree with allowing natural selection to take it's place. We need to stop creating rules and regulations to protect the ignorant and stupid from themselves. Unfortunately it's all too often that these idiots take out other innocent people at the time of writing themselves off.
