Having previously worked for the VicRoads licensing dept I can only wish you luck when trying to get a power to weight exemption. They simply dont give them out unless the situation is very special indeed. When they do grant one its usually full of conditions, ie driver can only drive between 8:30-9am to drop little sister off at school, provided mum and dad are interstate with work commitments. You've got Buckley's if there is another car under the limit in your household or if you live alone and its your only car (for those others wondering). What funky's traffic officer mate said was my understanding of your situation anyway so you should be OK. But again, its up to the discretion of the officer at the time. This obviously varies from state to state also. If a victorian licence holder infringes a road law interstate (eg speeding) they will need to pay the fine but no points are deducted. I may have a turbo but my bro has double the displacement. Yes, his car is awesome up top but driving to a salt lake to prove he has a higher top speed seems pointless. His car is slower over the quarter, drinks more fuel, and doesnt deliver the power as smoothly. Its strange how, for some people, ignorance just works...

I've had a VL pump in my car for almost 2 years and never had a problem. Its true that 1 out of 3 bolts dont align properly, but for $127 you cant really argue.

My R33 ran a 13.8@101mph with a bleed valve and full exhuast (i.e less than $1k spent). That was with 205 tires too. I'm yet to see any 308 Holden match this time with similar mods/money spent. My brother has spent more on his VS and it doesnt even pretend to keep up...
