Just in case anyone is still interested I had the car on the dyno on the weekend and made 153rwkw@13psi. Thats up from 140@11psi. The fuel map is pretty rich, only marginally leaner than stock, however the ignition timing is HEAPS better hence the increase in responsivness and mid range acceleration. The ignition timing has allowed me to run more boost which is sweet coz before anything over 11psi would cause severe misfire. Better fuel economy as well. I got 460km to this tank, and I was punchin it I usually get around 400-430km if givin it a beating.

I thought my new chip was gonna help out a bit more but as sam put it "its rich as f**k!" up high. Down low its better than stock which is why I felt better acceleration when it went in. Still I'm happy with 153

I've spent about $1000 on mods and there is only 1 thing HSV make that is faster (GTS300), and nothing that rolls out of the Ford Factory can keep up (according to Motor Mag). My car is also 10 years old. These 'detractors' you speak of obviously dont know shit!

Its going on the dyno this weekend to make sure its not too lean. Its certainly more lean than stock tho coz thus far I've got 150km to just over a quarter tank! Usually around 110-120km...

Window has been fixed (thanks jetgts ) just needs to be retinted.

DJ984: With my VERY brief experience I would say you'd be OK provided its a stock ECU.... but best ask a tuner who knows what their taking about. Drivebai: I was in the right place at the right time. Its not just a chip, its a whole replacement stock ECU that has previously been chipped. I got it through the guys at J-Spec Imports. One of their clients upgraded to a PFC (I think) and wanted to get rid of the old one cheap so I snapped it up

A hidden cam is a better idea than an alarm. Mine went off but they still wouldve been in the car for about 3-5mins.

Yeah I forgot to mention the best part.... $150! Mods this chip is for: *Full 3" zorst *FMIC (I've got the stocker) *Pod Filter (I've got a panel in stock box) *Bleed valve @ 12psi (I'm running about 10-11psi) The only major difference is the FMIC. Even so, my car now feels HEAPS stronger/quicker.

Hello all, For anyone who is thinking about modding their car, I would seriously consider engine management before you start. Last night I learned just how valuable a good ECU can be. J-Spec Imports got me a standard ECU that has been chipped by Access in Japan. The mods on the car it came out of were almost identical to mine, bar FMIC, so I decided to give it a shot. I could not believe the difference. Boost comes on stronger, redline is achieved quicker, any misfire problems I had are now gone, and even the exhaust note sounds better! :wassup: "Snapping" 2nd gear now allows the car to go major sideways as well, something I could only previously do in the wet! :aroused: It is by far the best mod I've done! Get Engine Management People!!!

I picked up an Access chipped ECU last night and want to know how much difference it has made. I'm there!!

Some little scum broke into my car and took off with my 2 gauges and 20 CDs, smashing the drivers window in the process. They left my Ray Bands and deck face alone even after going thru the glove box?? It happened 2 weeks ago but I was waiting to see if they tried to sell them on any forums. Both gauges were 52mm. I had a blue faced Blitz boost, and Autometer A/F ratio. They also took the a pillar mount. Its a trust copy for an R33 so it wont fit on any other car... well not properly anyway. If anyone sees what might match the above for sale anywhere please PM me.

NickR33, I ran a 14.3 @ 98mph with 2.4 60ft when my car only had a cat back zorst and pod filter and on 205s. Your mph seems a little low, even for stock.

I nearly had kittens. I was wondering what the hell that s14 was made out of to reach 3000kg.... then I realised it was in pounds :bonk: You must have one massive stereo. I've got my subs and amps in a removable box so whenever I go to the track they can come out within five minutes. Saves about 30kg (~60lbs).
