  1. I've got a front/dump from CES. Couldnt be happier with it. Awesome design. You can probably expect about 20rwkw over standard with a cat back. With my existing cat back and K&N panel filter the car made 126rwkw@8psi. I put the dump/front on with a bleed valve@6psi and it still gave me 7rwkw extra! Thats right, less boost more power. I've now wound up the boost and the car is making 153rwkw. They're a bit expensive but the quality is great.
  2. The one in the pic owns!

    Dam Nice

:werd: No P plates + Power Restricted Vehicle + Manual on Auto Licence = VERY LUCKY Had you had a penis you wouldve been stung for all three.
  4. Put your car on the dyno before playing with the boost. Not only will you be able to determine exactly what boost pressure your running, but also determine other things like fuel pump health which is almost paramount. I could be wrong but dont most electronic boost controllers 'pulse' the signal hence making the top of a boost curve like a sine wave? A bleed valve just lets it flow with less turbulence? I believe that BMT took the HKS EVC off the Endless R32 to make way for a $150 bleeder. This is a car capable of running 10s.... :werd: That, and its fun to flick the switch.
  5. DJ984, the bleeder I have on my car holds boost better than an AVCR do not underestimate the potential of the bleeder!
  6. Is anyone a definate racer yet? I'm super keen! The thought of beating a 10sec car with my 13sec car pleases I'm even thinking of going the week before hand and get some practice.
  7. 2weeks still??!!? You must be spewin!
  8. Sorry to hear. I hate these little kunts. My window is still a bit f**ked from my break in. How do those pager thingys work? Can you get it to call your phone or do you carry around a beeper or something?
  9. The prize money starts at 14.00. Most of us would be, at worst, close to that.
  10. More infor can be found here: www.ls1dragnationals.com.au $100 for Drag Racing $50 for Dyno Comp $20 to watch
  11. Yeah I saw that but wasnt sure if we need to mention you or this thread as the "invitation" etc.
  12. I think anyone who likes racing their car at the drags should check this out: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=30926 I'm super keen to get out and have a go. You dont even need the fastest car to win! SAU Vic, Lets represent!!!
  13. This sounds like a heap of fun! How do I sign up?
  14. JAS-25T, If you want to increase the boost my first suggestion is to regap your spark plugs to 0.8mm. Doing this with the standard ECU should allow you to run about 10-11psi. After that, as others have already mentioned, "overboost protection" sets in and misfire problems occur. I upped the boost with a bleeder (to about 9psi) and ran into misfire problems above 4500rpm. I then regapped my spark plugs and could run 10-11psi without it being an issue. However, the real gains from the boost increase were noticed once I got a hold of a chipped ECU which has far better ignition timing than standard. Boost comes on earlier, more midrange responsiveness, and redline is acheived quicker. I can now also up the boost until the turbo goes bang I'm currently running 13psi. Regapping the spark plugs to 0.8mm can help (and is cheap i.e. $0) but better engine management is the real key.... if only the stock ECU could be reprogrammed....
  15. According to the Heathcote Calendar their next meet is 10th of Jan from 3pm-10pm. Heathcote is a bit far tho. Anyone know a date for calder? I thought they were held every second week/last weekend a month??
  16. Turned up the bleeder to get more power. With the stock ECU I couldnt run more than 10psi without running into misfire problems (which is the most infamous problem with 33 ecus). The chipped ecu has a much better ignition timing so I can push to boost to turbo annihilation The overall power figure is not too much greater than the stock ecu but the car pulls to the redline A LOT quicker than before. People seem to forget its not just the top end power figure, its a combination of how quickly you can get there. If I had a scanner I'd post the before and after curves but alas I do not.
  17. I've got a mate out from the US and he wants to go to the drags. Anyone know when the next Heathcote and Calder meets are??
  18. The 33 ecu cannot be re-programmed, however you can solder a chip over the top with a custom fuel map, ignition timing, etc... I spose its like a piggy back that cannot be reprogrammed.
  19. I'm running 13psi on mine.... but it manual
  20. Me too!! Belfast tix only $50 which is a bargin compared to other places. Was gonna beach it but cbf driving back mashed.... again! Anyone goin to the beach try to stay away from Rye/Rosebud etc... unless you wanna brawl wif ful sik muzzas.
