  1. The boys at calaisturbo.com would argue otherwise
  2. I think that your FMIC could be the reason. It would be more laggy as the turbo has to work harder to fill the larger coola. A piggy back band aid might help your cause.
  3. Yeah like what? Do tell all
  4. You will not lose any points off your SA licence. All you need to do is pay the fine. The points will be recorded at Vic Roads for three years in the chance that you may move to Victoria.
  5. Perfectly correct. The R33 GTS25t is P plate restricted, which means any P plater driving one is breaking the law. You could take it to court blah blah blah but you would be wasting your time. The law doesnt care about how old the engine is, how much the driver weighs, how much power you made at Joe Blows dyno. Also, according to this law, a 1972ish 4.1L Cortina is P plate restricted, which proves the car doesnt necessarily need to be all that quick or powerful either. If you're a P plater who drives an R33 GTS25t be prepared to be hassled, coz at the end of the day they have every right to.
  6. Try Makspeed. They make heaps of front bars 93185626
  7. BUMP jyo I'll give ya $450 for it. I really want the usb cable and software as well which will cost me more on top. I've decided against the SAFC.... unless someone wants to get rid of it for $250 or less.
  8. I added a few bits and pieces to the car a few weeks ago. I added CES dual front/dump pipe, and a bleed valve to my existing cat back and panel filter. The car was dynoed before installing the new bits and made 126rwkw at standard boost. After the pipe and bleeder was put on I got an extra ~10rwkw @ 6psi! Less boost yet more power! Cant argue with that.
  9. I'm also considering a light weight flywheel but after speaking to perfomance shops etc I'm a little undecided, coz I want to keep everyday drivability. Is there a severe decrease in bottom end torque? Apparently lightened flywheels are awesome above 3k rpm but suck for every day city driving????? Altho siksII describes otherwise, I have also been informed that a lightweight flywheel will also cause the engine to drop revs a lot quicker when you back off the accelerator. These 2 theories seem to make sense to me as less weight = less effort to make it move, but less weight = less momentum to keep it moving.
  10. Get over yourselves. Skylines arnt the only cars in the world. Lots of us drive other cars also. I was thinkin last night, give the Astra 15 years and it will surely become the next Gimini.
  11. At the drags, my car was just under 170kmh when crossing the finish line but my best mph for the day was 101.53mph (~162kmh). I dont think the accuracy is too bad below 150, but as the speed increases it will surely become more inacurate.
  12. post in the Victoria section...
  13. I voted for the VW but after having a think, the Astra convertible turbs would probably be better :uh-huh:
  14. Jase: Skid pan is all about gettin very sideways
  15. :bahaha: the floral carpet below the pedals has won me over! Kinda puts the aussie shaggin "sandman" wagon to shame.

    PM Dr_Drift (Sam).... he'll know
  17. GODF4Th3R: is it still for sale???? check your PM.
  18. df3ktd: for a 2nd hand SAFC I'll spend $350-400 maybe a bit more for the SAFCII. For the Greddy emanage obviously more but depends on what it comes with. jyo: does it come with serial to USB cable and a CD with the support tool software?
  19. Hi all, I want to get some aftermarket engine management happening, so if you've got a SAFC or Emanage for sale I'd like to know. I'd probably prefer the emanage but dont really care too much. Cheers
  20. What did endless run????
  21. I made 140rwkw at BMT. Mods: * 3"dump/front * 3" cat back (crappy cat is still the bottleneck) * Bleed valve set at 0.7 bar (~10psi) * K&N Panel filter in stock air box. * Pineapples (prolly wont affect a power reading) I couldnt give a rats ass what rwkw I've got. I ran a 13.83 @ 101mph last weekend which is similar to others with 180+rwkw. nigasnt is 100% correct, rwkw dont mean squat!
  22. dont you enjoy a cruise nark??
